A couple of days ago a storm came through here that was crazy. I’ve never seen that much hail and rain. It reminded me of when I was living in my old house. Every time there was a bad storm I had to go through some major things to get the lights back on in the house. One time there was a storm so bad that lightning hit the house and all the power went out. I looked across the street and my neighbor had power, so I knew the problem was just in my house.

Stay with me, I’m going somewhere here…

I knew I had to get to the circuit breaker to fix what was going on. Now, in my old house, the breaker box was in the attic, and in order to get to it I had to climb a ladder, go up a flight of stairs and then climb over an air conditioning unit, all the while trying to not step through the ceiling joist or I would go straight through the sheet rock. And imagine trying to do all of this in the dark. But I had to do it if I wanted lights on in my house.

I got to the breaker box and started turning the breakers back on. For those of you who are not up on your DIY (do it yourself, LOL), the circuit breakers protect the house from further damage by turning themselves off if they get too much power or pull too much power to them.

As I was thinking about this yesterday I started thinking about us as people, as souls... me, you and any other human on this planet. What is common about us all is that we all, at one time or another, will go through or have been through a storm, and sometimes the storms are so bad that they turn off circuit breakers in our lives. We can look at others who have gone through the same storm and they are fine, like my neighbor across the street. They had power, but I was in the dark. Same storm, but it affected me differently. Many people can have the same experience and get over it but it affects each of us differently. Never let someone tell you to just get over it because they did. It’s not that simple.

When circuit breakers shut down in our lives they usually turn off to protect us from trauma, but just because they turn off doesn’t mean that they are supposed to stay off. A lot of times we leave them off because we don’t want to do all that is necessary to reach the breaker box to turn them back on. So what happens? We begin to live a life that is not as bright and fulfilling as it was originally designed to be. You just stay in the dark because it’s easier to not go through what you need to go through for healing. Trust me, I’ve been there, lived there for a while until I realized that I wanted all the lights on in my soul. I had to get these breakers back on.

Why am I saying this to you? Well I know that God designed all of us to live the fullest life that we can, to live in the light, love and joy. It is my hope and prayer today that you will start to do the work to turn on some of the breakers that may have been turned off in your life by difficult moments. What do I mean by that? If you have a dream and you stopped dreaming because it got too hard, that’s a breaker that went off. Turn it back on. If you decided that you wouldn’t love anyone else because you’ve been hurt, that’s a breaker that’s been turned off. Turn it back on. If you have decided to give up on life because nothing seems to go right, that’s a breaker that went off. Turn it back on. If you have given up on your kids because they won’t do the right thing, that’s a breaker that went off. Turn it back on.

You see what I mean? Go through your life and look at all the people who have hurt you. Look at all the situations that have left you in the dark. Turn those breakers back on. Live in a full house. One of my favorite scriptures says, “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father, which is in heaven.” Light up your soul!

I read wit so much relish the many stories on his thred, from those about to give up and those who God's healing power has touched and they came out victorious. Then i turned on my bed and prayed for all the wonderful mothers on this thread. I prayed for the peace on God on YOU, YOU YOU & YOU. I thank God everyday for what he has done for me and will still yet do.

I am grateful i met you all on this thread, we have created a bond that can only be replicated to that between blood siblings.

Keep strong, Keep faith, Never loose your ground and please remember to live life and forget all the worries of TTC.

napa: Feeling very unhappy. Being having lower abdominal pain for sometime so decide to go for a pelvic scan this afternoon, lo and behold it revealed that i have PID and fibroids, though i knew about the fibroid since Dec last year but hoping for a reduction cos of some medications i've taken but alas the thing has grown bigger and is now multiple. What could cause PID? I don tire sincerely from one issue to another. Crying silently inside because i dey office, i know say na serious outburst when i get home.

God show Thy mercy, tired of chewing drugs day in and day out, tired of giving my DH ugly reports everytime, though he's been a darling but still i don tire.Bring me out of this situation, walk through my life and make me whole again.Seriously dejected

Well i tested this morning but it was Negative but regardless my DH don dey use hand rub my belle, say himself believe there is something inside especially when the result of the blood test came out yesterday and the doctor said i don't have Malaria, little sign of typhoid fever, my blood count/Hemoglobin is 10 but i should eat things that would increase my blood level.

Ok, so i knw get malaria, i know get fever, weting con dey cause all d symptoms especially in the evening? den he said maybe its d little typhoid that is detected.He wanted to give me antibiotics na him i run. I tell am say make he no worry, say i go treat d small fever seen myself with natural herbs.

My dear- i still dey feel very heavy and i am hold on to my faith cos i went online on babycenter and saw more than 200,000 update of people that was pregnant and menstruating.
They experinced d same ting and had to fight with dere doctors over dat until their baby starts to kick or delivery. You wont believe most of them even have twins.

Me no worry as i know my body and as e dey do me. I am on to "Agbo" herbals now. No more chalk medicine apart from Folic Acid.

Well i had to go see my Gneay yesterday after having series of unexplainable symptoms.
Let me rewind back to last week Tuesday when i wrote the story about the evil Cat experience. Af never come still and no show sign sey e dey come as i comot for office on dat day. So i decided to run to church after work to take Holy communion and also inform my Daddy G.O wat was goin on.
You wont believe it that right dere in the church na him Af show him face, i had to run to a small shop to get pad kiakia.
All the preaching in church was lost to me, as i felt dejected. I was trying to uplift my spirit with the word "Even though he slays me, i will yet trust in him".

Anyways to cut the long story short Af came for only two days+ that tuesday night very light.
I felt very very heavy on thursday of the same week. Even tried exercising maybe Af go flow more and relieve would come. For where! e no happen ooo.
On Friday my temperature shot up back to 37.4 and consistently rising over the days to even 37.9.
To add it up, serious cramping and backache, toothache, nausea,feverish, cough, indigestion/bloating, tummy heavy,stooling na wahala as e strong pass micheling etc.

I tried to fast on Monday morning, at 3pm my stomach was already in pains,my back was aching like mad, feeling like i would faint any minute. I had to rush to take drinks and snacks and immediately the drink went down my throat, i was relieved.

I couldnt explain all this symptoms, so i decided to visit my Gneay cos i was sure he would have an explanation to this.

After explaining in full details to the Old man, na him he con write drugs for me make i go collect from pharmacy and to do about 3 blood test.
My sisters-Low and behold d drugs na for cough and asthma and d blood test na for Malaria parasite, fever and blood count.

I have a free medical facility at Eko hospital but decided not to use any of their doctors for Fertility issues because i did not trust them that they did a gud job when i became pregnant and lost d baby eventually. So i decided to use a specialized Gneay for fertility related issues for which i make monthly payment since i started TTC journey in January. He came highly recommended.

In January, the Gneay gave me losts of cough medicine and only clomid
In February, gave me higher cough medicine and clomid
I came again in March, you still pack higher cough dosage give me and test again.......ABA! na him i vex scatter their clinic yesternight. They collected 20k frm me last night to run this their rubbish before i realized that come oooo. Since January till now, this man never say make him run test to even knw weting they wrong with this couple or even me that complains of serious cramps to find out why.

I was devastated, i cried my eyes out till i slept yesternight. My God why me, i kept myself intact for 28gud years despite all temptation. Should it be me that should be looking for a child or going tru dis wahala.

As am talking to you now, my back still aches, i am having pains in my abdomen, i cant even eat much else the Jeans am wearing becomes uncomfortable. I hardly could zip up my trousers now cos it inconveniences me. HELP OOOO my one and only TTC sistersss.

What do i do? any advise would be appreciated.

My bible said David cried till the extent there was no more strenght in him yet his problem was still there until he enquired of the lord. can the created question the creator. can the pot question the potter?. There was a time I thought all the tears in my eyes are finished because I cry at every slightest event until God opened my eyes to the need to be focused. ttc must surely pass away. am tooo sure of this. Its just a phase. Its well. am always overwhelmed when I see children, men/women born after their parents ttc for a while. they are always great children. wise/resourcesful from the womb. I no fit shout each time I think of how wonderful our children will look like because of the extra time it took God almighty to mold them. Special children indeed. @all, today, i'm on CD 14, ovulation day, no EWCM as usual, just something creamy and watery. i have finished one bottle of Robtussin with guaifenesin, the red one, nothing not even patches of EWCM just watery stuff infact i dont know what to do again, i drink lots of water, eat fruits, take EPO (Evening Primrose Oil) from period to CD 10, moringa seed and leaf, baking soda water/lemon.

our Pastor's wife used to organise prayers for those who are TTC, we were 3, now na only me remain for the prayer group. the 2 others ladies are pregnant. I was so ashamed and down, throughout the prayer session i couldnt hold back the tears.

i know dat GOD will not leave me out, HE will definitey answer me.

GOD please have mercy on us and open our wombs to receive your gifts. let it come quick LORD.

Hello Love, abeg please dont sob dont let the devil rob you of a blessing that he has seen God prepared right before you but you havent allowed your inner eyes to be stretched to see this basket full of babies, prosperity and joy everlasting. You are under a test and for what we knw test would ALWAYS pass. It cant be undertaking forever. The amount of time you spend re-writing a test is determined by how you were able to keep faith and score a pass mark with your heavenly father.

Believe God that the CM is perfect or conception and you will push Gods hands into manifestation.
I wish i can give you a VERY BIG HUG now. all thesame blowing kisseeeeeees ur way.

@Nictos you temp twice a day? Is that i deal, i think its only ur basal temperature that is important and that's ur waking up temp :/

@Pink22 the second temp in the evening is just for me to better understand my BBT fluctuations. But the one i record on my chart is the early morning temping. Most times i see a slight difference but i usually do it after a nap after coming back home frm d office.

Am nocturnal and hardly sleep. i often wake up in d wee hours of d night 2am, 3am e.t.c and sometimes read till morn or fall asleep say 4.am or even 5.am. i understand dt temp readings shd be taken at the same time every morn, do u think that my data will be accurate being d kind of sleeper i am?

Dearest Lizzyslaw- You can try to chart using an alarm to warn you for a particular time. It is always better to do it early in the morning before the hustling and burstling begans. Accurate chart would be affected if you began any activities before you chart, cos even walking about or talking much increases your body temp. Thats why its advised that you do it after you are well relaxed and preferable after waking up. If you wake up around 4am, try to do that consecutively for sometime. It just helps to make you understand the pattern.

For me, i get a different temp at night than early morning, cos i notice my temp tends to increase during the evening. Maybe cos i dont have morning sickness but evening sickness......lol.
So wat i do is chart both times-morning 7am, evening anytime after i am well rested before finally going to bed.

@Opelistic- U need to start charting from the 1st day of your Menstral and we would need to check your chart from one cycle to the other before we can even help in suggesting when you ovulate.

Some basic information has not been provided by you which are;
Hw many days is your menstral cycle? ie from one month to when next you see another one
Hw many days does the blood flow? i.e 3days, 4days etc
Check your vagina daily what do you see? record any discharge you see in your own terms against the day it occured using when your menses starts as CD1......CD5......CD15.....ETC
Get a thermometer and check your temperature. Measure your temperature using by placing it under your tongue until you get a beep sound. Record what is shown on the screen daily exactly when you get up from the bed. Same time until your next period.

A good friend of mine opened up to me yesterday. she gave birth last year after some years of ttc.
she told me yestaday that she has a solution to my problem if I get heart. me wey get heart pass zuma rock. I ready as long as no be bad tin.
The lady told me she has a woman fertility specialist who resides in PH. that the woman will give me herbs to carry belle within 3 months inrespective of what my fertility issue is. that if I carry the belle, scan will not see the belle, no antenatal, if my dh give me money for antenatal, I should just come and relex in her house cos there is no need. The herbs will cost N340,000.00 while the cost of delivery ranges from N500,000 - N600,000.00 depending on the sex (f/m. She said the belle no go show within the first four months and might just show small after 5 months. that I must go to PH to deliver the baby in the womans hospital. that I might not be able to breast feed the baby cos my milk may not flow well. she went ahead to give me instance with close friends who has done it & has 3 - 4 kids now through the same woman. I was transfixed at a spot after hearing this. which belle scan no go see. my dh that has been rehearsing how to hear the sound of his child inside womb. He is ready to follow me to any hospital as long as it has to do with his child. how I go do. my ppl we sabi, I fear, but I no run.

Shey Cjone i beg you in the name of God, dont even think about this. I had an experience too about this once until God expressly spoke to me nevert to go back there.
Na so dem talk too say this woman they do natural massage for people and them dey carry belle. This one na ijaw woman self. Well i went just for her to massage my womb and confirm if after the ectopic pregnancy i had, that everyting was in normal shape and no pros. Na so the woman begin talk hw she go do am i go get belle, give me injection for weekly for one month, i will eat concoction etc. Because my mum is Ijaw, i was a bit okay with it but my spirit kept on rejecting it. There was war with my flesh and spirit. After the first day of massage and eating of concoction. My spirit man was trouble and i new i was in deep shit with God. It couldn't have been natural and God and i will find this uneasiness so i decided to pray about it that night before goin to bed on whether to go next day for another round of this useless therapy.

Na him i sleep con dream say i get three children, one boy wey look like Chinese, no resemble me or him papa and the two girls which i had to go and bring out from a brothel. The dream was so real that i work up still panting from the stress of dragging the two children out of a brothel to bring dem home. I woke up and knew the meaning of the dream without interpretation. I just knelt down and asked for mercy while thanking God for loving me so muchhhhhhh to have revealed this to me beforehand.
I just leave the part-payment money for am pick race kia kia. Tufiapa!!! no be my children or children's children go be prostitutes I reject am spirit soul and body.

TTC journey hasnt been an easy one ooo, i just tank God i met friends like you. I cannot finish mentioning all your names. You have all been so wonderful and encouraging.
Let me share my ordeal over since yesterday evening till midnight this morning with you.

I went to test yesterday but it was BFN. I never felt more convinced that i am pregnant than what i went through yesterday. I have been pregnant before, lost the baby at 15weeks so i know every details of being pregnant. So when the result came out yesterday, i just shook my head and said this result was not for me. Went ahead to buy chilled drink and nice biscuit sidon in front of TV throway result somewhere start to dey watch movies jare. Not a hint of doubt my sistas. My NPles last night became more sore and unbearable, my temperature rose and i started feeling feverish even in that rain. I knew my baby was still very intact else my temperature should drop and not rise.

My mum came in last night and told me the vision they saw for me in Church (C.A.C) that every month i become pregnant that there is this cat that comes the day i will see my menses and starts crying like a baby and afterwards the pregnancy will just come down and the symptoms too, that i should watch out for it. She did not even know when my AF was due or that it was due today. She just came unannounced and with the leading of the holyspirit.

You remembered in my earlier post when i said i would testify 5th of March of my BFP, only to wake up in the middle of the night to hear the cry of this CAT. No be small crying ooo even my Dog starts to bark.I just jumped up on my feet, heard my mum and brother already cabashing and raining down holyghost fire on the cat in their room. Na so me and DH jump up started cabashin too, raining down fire and brimstone upon the devilish Cat.

My sistas no be small thing for my house ooo midnight. My brother even went out to confront the Cat with his prayers and we did not hear anything again. When i touched my self, i was so cold and my sore NPles was nt tingling or painful anymore. Another round of restoration prayers started ooooo. Abba! dis one na "korokoro THIEF". i no gree ooo, kept on fireing prayer until i felt relieved in my spirit.

GOODNEWS-AF hasnt shown up yet, temperature level rising and my NPles is now back to sore oooooo.

After reading the "recipe" here i forwarded it to my sis who haven't been menstruating since May 2012 and she wasnt pregnant. She lives in the US, so she decided to obey this my small voice and carry out the recipe. She started using it on Friday. Lo and behold Saturday morning, her menses started flowing ooooo. Praise God with me ooooo.
At least that's a start on her journey to TTC. She has one child already and believing God for another.

Testimony galore this week ooo. Fruitful week ahead

I want to share the experience i had with God dis morning.

At about 4:30am dis morning, i just woke up to a voice telling to start praying and asking for Mercy. This has never happened to me before. So i woke up and started praying for mercy, i kept on calling God for mercy till i felt relieved and decided to use the Ladies. We woke as usual myself and DH to kneel by our prayer alter and say our morning devotion. It was if my honey saw revelation, the praise and worship was different, almost not ending, then the prayer to was heavenly inspired. Overall i just knew God has sealed my testimony because i have been having fears that AF might show up today as the 27th day in my cycle. I was anxious and tensed. With all the prayers and Gods express voice i felt comforted. I usually have another round of prayers after seeing hubby off to the gate at about 6am daily. But today, God told me not to pray but go tune in the TV to a christian station(DSTV). I kept on turning the TV till i got to Daystar and Pastor Joel Osten was preaching today.
OMG! The message was all for me.

He said in his message that, God has already perfected some testimonies right now, he has fought and won the victory, but we keep back the manifestation of this miracle by loosing the war in our mind. We allow fear, rather than faith. He particularly mentioned my case. That i was doubting God i would ever be pregnant, afraid i would record thesame monthly failure this time around and so it is up to me to allow God's perfect his works by believing he has done it. When fear comes knocking at my door, i should confront it with Faith. I should declare God's promises that says i cannot be Barren. I am a fruitful being. His thought for me are for good and not evil, to give me a hope and a future even an expected end. For God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power and of love and of a sound mind. The spirit that God gives u as a child of God is not fear but of power and love and a sound mind. You have the spirit of adoption that you can cry ABBA! Father!, you have a spirit of sonship. It is the devil who creates fear and the bible says fear has torment. So let the love of God take control of your thoughts and life.

My sis, i was all tears when i listened to all he was saying, i knew God was talking directly to me. He was telling me how thru fear, i have crippled his hands in time past, how tru doubts i have experienced miscarriages every month. I wept and wept oooooo and tank God for this express message to me. I am stronger, i am declaring GOD IS GREATER THAN MY FEAR AND I AM PREGNANT. Af is suppose to show today marking the 27th day in my period and it has never failed to show before on the exact same day. Well some ovulation calendars says maybe tomorrow. Whatever! all i know is it will Never show until i have delivered my TWINS cos i have my BFP in Jesus name. Can't wait to do blood test to show DH that i am officially PREGNANT. Any ideas on how to break the news to him is welcome from ya'all. I love you guys more than you know.

Hello house,
I av been feeling dis symptoms since friday last week.vomiting, dizzyness, lightheadedness,heartburn and constipation. I cant even do without breakfast ooo, e go b like say i wan die ooo. I go to toilet in d offiice more dan 10times before leaving at 5. Cant do without water in my cup or any liquid as such becos i feel dehydrated at working on d system all day long.
My BBT chart shows temperature above 3.7 and increasing.

Just now i noticed sore nipples. My nipples dey pain me oooo

AF is expected on Tuesday d 5th, can i be pregnant?
So scared to test now cos i am tired of BFN. Sometimes i get dis symptom only to test and its BFN.
I av vowed not to test till i see a missed period but folks am anxious ooooo

Journey to Motherhood

This is a testimony to the glory of the Almighty God, who never fails, who is never late and who always comes through for His own.
We got married in April 2004. The first year went by like a breeze and we weren’t particularly worried. By the second year we started getting concerned and we decided to run medical investigations and medicines were prescribed to assist in conception. Sometime later, I went for more tests and was told I had irregular ovulation. Many hormone-changing and mood-altering medications later, still no pregnancy.
Aside from medical investigations, we were also praying, fasting, proclaiming and believing the word of God. We were determined not to run from one Pastor/church to the other so we kept our matters very private. I had my faithful prayer-partners, who also served as strong pillars of support during the ups & downs. As per Naija concern, people felt it was their right ask questions and to proffer solutions. Some out of genuine concern. Personally, my position was to keep mum and settle matters with my God. I kept on living life to the best of my abilities. Waiting for my desire may be tough but I knew it mustn't engulf my life. So I waited expectantly and not desperately.
In 2009, we decided to explore IVF treatment in a reputable clinic in Lagos. We did, twice, it took a good chunk of our life savings but it did not work. During all of these, naturally, I had my down moments but my husband remained a strong pillar of support encouraging and reassuring. My Pastor & his wife were also unrelenting in their prayers and encouragement. Nonetheless, I began to get discouraged as the miracle was seeming so elusive, and was almost giving up hope. I had come to a point where I told myself I'm tired of praying for the same thing year-in year-out, I will channel my prayers to more result-yielding areas like my career.
In 2011, I went on a short transfer abroad, there my husband suggested we try some fertility treatments. Reluctantly, I agreed. On running several tests, the OB/Gyn concluded that I had very low ovarian reserves and my AMH results were so low, indicative of an early menopause. What terrible news! Strangely enough, I was not fazed. Armed with the verdict, I went to the Lord. February 2012 was the fasting month in RCCG, so I waited on the Lord. Pastor Adeboye had asked God for 70,000 babies in Y2012 and I told God that mine must be a part of this number.
In the middle of the fast, God took me to Ps 67 v 5-7 (paraphrased: let the people praise God and the earth will yield its increase) and I realized that Praise will bring our desired fruitfulness. I activated the prophetic power of praise. Praising God in the 2 languages I speak, calling Him by His many names, at least 200 names per time, praising Him in the morning, afternoon and night. Since He is Adanimagbagbe eni (The Creator who never forgets His creation), Onise iyanu, Onise ara (The miraculous wonder-working God), He will perfect my own. I promised God that if He will perform this miracle for me, I will testify of His goodness to the entire world, via ALL means possible.
On March 2, listening to Pastor Adeboye live on the internet, He prophesied that someone listening will sing the song “He has done it for me…” before the end of that month. I claimed it, I received it and I believed it like never before and truly, on March 28 I was confirmed pregnant.
In Nov 2012, God blessed us with a son, ending 8yrs of waiting. All praise and glory to God Almighty.
Dear reader, please help me fulfill my promise to God, by spreading / sharing this testimony to many and to all. For all those waiting on the Lord for such a miracle, I pray that Oba ti nsi t’enikan o le ti (the God who opens and no one can close), whose ears are not too dull to hear, will hear their cries and open the door of fruitfulness unto them. Amen

Types of Cervical Mucus

The appearance of cervical mucus can change throughout a woman’s menstrual cycle. One can check the discharge by looking at the toilet paper after wiping, or using the finger around the opening of the vagina. Listed below are the types of cervical mucus and how they are used to determine the signs of ovulation.

Dry. When the mucus is dry, or there is no discharge at all, it means that the woman is definitely not fertile.

Creamy cervical mucus. Creamy cervical mucus is an indication that a woman is nearing ovulation. This type of mucus appears like lotion.

Egg white cervical mucus. A woman is at her most fertile state when the mucus looks like albumen (egg white). This mucus is watery and slippery, and stretches in between the thumb and index finger.

Thick cervical mucus. It looks pasty and yellowish. Thick cervical mucus smells like vinegar. A woman can still be possibly fertile at this time. However, it may be very difficult for the sperm to swim through this type of mucus.

I just learnt about all dis ting too barely two months. So i can say i am just on the second month of TTC even though my marriage would be one in April.

I know that the knowledge i now have about ovulation, cervical mucus and Basal Body Temperature coupled with a bended knees in prayer would see my heart desire fulfilled soonest.
I am optimistic i will share my BFP next week by God's infinite mercy.

TTC is not on my mind just enjoying BD with my DH anytime i want to, so as to not allow hormonal imbalance or watever dey call it.

This is not good at all but i need you to understand your cycle first. Try charting your cycle for at least 3 months to ascertain the length of your cycle whether it be 25 or 27 or 28 days or even more. Sometime your cycle can fall within the same month if you have 25days cycle. so its not about the month, its about the numbers of your cycle days.

Your ovulation is determined by the numbers of your cycle days. For a 25days cycle, you ovulate starts from the 10th day while 27th days would be from the 11th day.
I have attached a chart for you to follow. since it seems like you started ur mestral cycle yesterday, you can still make use of the chart.
i have also attached a sample guidelines o enable you fill the chart.
Try to buy a thermometer too, its not expensive about 1200NGN.

Record your temperature too and describe the state of your discharge too.

House all can make use of this chart too. It helps you to understand your body system in paper.
