Went to the US and safely had my baby, no complications whatsoever. Journey was smooth and blissful, we thank God.

A friend of mine needs your advice.

She gave birth in the US and paid her medical bills i.e hosp and Doc fully paid (Got a zero bal statement). However she got a surprised bill from the anesthesia which was suppose to be 1600, she got a bill of 3500. She had been trying to negotiate the bill but to no avail eventually they agreed to do a prepayment plan for her. She has since then started to pay the money.

Her question is .... If she tries to enter the US again before she finish the payment, would this be a course for concern? Experienced mum with this same situation pls advise.

She also had another incident- a day to her departure from the US after staying for like a month, her son developed an emergency situation such that the he was loosing breath, the paramedics was called and the child was taking to the ICU. At this point, she no get money again, nah to carry herself come back to naija dey her mind. At the clinic they treated the child and gave all necessary care needed to keep the child alive. They later asked if the child had medicaid, of which she answered no. So the hospital registered the child for medicaid and did not send her any bill before she left US.

On reaching naija, her host phoned her about receiving the medicaid number for the child and a bill from the paramedics and request for medicaid number for payment for the bill.

Her question is- Will this medicaid affect her future visit to the US and visa renewal considering she has her zero balance delivery bill and that the medicaid was not in anyway associated with delivery.

experienced and experts in the house, kindly provide your view cos she is sick worried and will like to continue to visit US cos all her families are there and she is the only one in Naija.

Quick update!

In my last post in 2013 i stated that i was pregnant but unfortunately some months after i lost the baby as usual. That experience shook me such that my enemy almost landed in Yaba left. That was one of the reasons i had to stay away from anything TTC. Anyways i survived and had my handsome baby boy in 2014 and God is faithful everything went well. God has since open doors for more to come.....

I just want to commend everyone despite all odds who kept this thread alive. I miss my Nairaland big family, the mothers with a great heart. The bond we share was so strong that it can actually be felt.

Thanks for the response. She does have a relations but the agent that did her first application convinced her that her best chance of getting a visa was to state that she doesnt have anyone in the US and would only like to go for vacation. Now we are stuck on leaving that info the way it is.

My question then is, can she re-apply as a visitor on the grounds that i would be sponsoring her trip or whats her best chance of getting a positive visa response.

My challenge is that my mum has applied for a US tourist visa in December and was rejected. Part of her information in the form was that she doesn't have any relations in the US but just want to go for vacation on grounds of sponsoring herself as a caterer.

He said i should come see a chest specialist the second day and bring along 10k cos thats the man fee etc...

I did nt think abt pregancy again, filled my thots wit other tings to the extent that lots of pple say i smile too often dis days like say i hit jackpot.
Gods joy filled d entirety of my soul, i laughed at every silly joke.

No b small ting ooo sotay when i begin feeling feverish at 7DPO i did not even thougth of testing until when d ting hook me in form of shortness of breath and chest pain and was rushed to the hospital by Dh on sat and d stupid doctors too no do pregnancy test but bombarded me with drugs and injection, rushed to do chest x-ray and came out with d result that my enemy have chest infection leading to TB. Na him my self and hubby reject am shapaly. The said they would do further test to confirm it.

Dearest all,
I went the next day to see the doctor about the further test meanwhile the TB culture done on my hand already stated that no infection as it did not spread at all. But before i got to the doctor i decided to use HPT it came out positive but faint so i concluded i was goin to do blood test before getting to see my gynae. I used thesame lad he directed me to. I had to ask the lab lady my result but she said it has been forwarded to the hospital so i asked her what was it about. She said all the result came out negative dat i dont av TB or any infection except that they observe my blood level is low. I told her to carry out a pregnancy test and she came out with the POSITIVE result advising me to be careful and use a trado drug that boost blood quickly.

My sisters, na him i carry myself with a smile on my face enter my gynea office with the pregnancy test result. So i asked him how far with the lab result. He said madam the result shows you have TB and infection on your lower chest and the treatment is 9 month for you and your husband. I then asked him if he was holding my result or somebody else because i could see at the back of the test he was reading from -Negative, Negative Negative that maybe he did not see it. He told me saw everything but madam am sorry you need to be isolated, you and your hubby and treated for 9 month.

Now i don dey vex no be small...

Thats when i asked him doesnt he believe that any other thing can cause changes in a woman body system. He said no way!!
So i asked him what about pregnancy?

Well i dont know how many people listened to Sharing life issues yesterday evening. They had an invited guest who happened to be the first person that IVF was done for in Nigeria and Africa. That was 14years ago. Her testimony was she ttc for 6 years and decided to accept the doctors suggestion when they told her about IVF. As at that time it was not yet tested and tried in Niger or African but due to her desperacy she would do anything just to have a child. She is now the mother of twins-a boy and a girl and has since started an NGO to support people in similar situation and considering IVF. Support financially and emotionally.
My dear- you needed to see that inflow of calls both Men and Women sharing similar issues.
My heart bleed for them and i knew then my own self na small case compared to all this people. I am sharing this info incase someone is in need of their support. Her name is Ifeoma and her NGO is known as ASPIRE.

Yes they can share but not put it in our face. Sharing your experience in just one post is enough to drive home your point and not keep going about advertising the pastor or the doctor etc. She is not the first to share her TTC journey on this post and everyone has applauded the posters effort with congratulations. But am saying her emphasizes on the PASTOR has overide the testimony she is trying to buttress, this is more like MARKETING than a TESTIMONY.

The magicians of Egypt in the time of Moses also turned their rods to snakes but the snake of Moses rod swallowed them up. Even Jesus confirmed dt pple will do miraculous work in his name yet he will them to get away from him "ye workers of iniquity" Matt 7:21-23, so pple will use his name and he will yet deny them. My issues: y does his prayers follow d same format wt everybody? That is repetitive in my opinion. Also, God'sent, u seem to know 2 much about d man and u display d loyalty and followership dt I believe is his motive at this point. U hv a defence against every query and more. I find ur answer and supposed proof by US even makes me more cautious. However, ds is how I FEEL!

Crying seriously could u believe today which I wanted to go for test my period show face and I now had a dream that I gave birth to a baby boy in which I did not kw I was preg it was surprising in d dream and again I breast feed the baby after waking am feeling serious pain, is as if they are turning eba or soup in my lower abdomen.
