Well my story is funny. I and my cousin were travellimg from Norway to Nigeria christmas of 2002. When we came to heathrow airport london and wanted to check in, the line was like from jeruselem to jerico i'm sure people who have travelled to nigeria during he christmas understand what i mean. Anyway back to my story, one guy standing behind me was now trying to squeeze himself through the line, and said "girl, move your cute ass out of the way, when i frowned at him, thinking it as an insult, he smiled and said "it's cute though, i and my cousin burst out laughing. Since then whenever i'm standing in front of my cousin, she'll be like " move your cute-ass" and it always brings back funny memories. So when i signed up on nairaland i decided to use the name cute-ass for fun sake |

Mr. Pataki: Mr = Official title a man has. Pataki = Yoruba word for Important, which literally implies Mr Important in English. Got the name as a nickname while in University, when playing a word game. |
Re: What's the Story behind your Nairaland Username? by shahan(f): 8:44pm On Feb 14, 2007 |
Uhm. . . I really don't remember how I landed this one "shahan". It's a male Armenian name for "profit maker" deliberately chosen to keep up a game between I and my sis. . . to see if anyone would ever guess I was female! I missed my target by just a week! |

Re: What's the Story behind your Nairaland Username? by Dvampire(m): 5:21pm On Mar 23, 2007 |
i got the nickname Dvampire when i was in the polytechnic. i had an accident while working with hallogen lamps. during the long painful days of recovery, i could not walk outside during the day because of the sun rays, i could not stand the rays of bright lights. i walked out mostly in the dark. so my friends called me ralph the vampire, but i coined it to Dvampire for effect. |
