Nairaland / General / Re: What Are Your Views On Homosexuality? by NigeriaHat: 8:22am On Nov 10, 2009
what are your views on homosexuality? can you be friends with an open homosexual? can you have your kids, siblings and friends around them.
do you even consider it a sin to mix with this homosexuals ,africans have strong views on homosexuality but at the rate the Western world is becoming accepting of this gays ,have your views been diluted?

personally my views on Homosexuality are still the same,i still consider them to be living in sin. but i do not consider it to be a taboo to talk with them or even be friends with them. but when i have kids i'm not sure if my position will remain the same. what is yours pls share.

Africans have strong views or you mean to say are better at concealing their homosexuality, due to the fear of persecution. How many men do you see walking down the street in an average day walking down the street holding hands. Why dont you just follow everyone you see holding hands and cal them gay see what happens.
Being gay is not my thing and i dont think that i ever will be. that does not mean that if some guy who was my friend for years and now comes up and says he is gay , well by your logic i should kick his ass and ostracize him. By mine he is still my friend.
What if one of your kids is gay what will you do then.

live life well and let God guide you, he never makes mistakes.

Hi,

I work in a company here in nigeria. I have been in NIgeria for quite a while so when i say "why fucking bother trying to make nigeria better."
Most people don't mind how it is here with the cheating stealing lipsrsealed and God only knows what else.

Like a few times i and other managers have sent peole who we thought we knew to buy stock in the company and either there was an unexpected increase in the price of the raw materials or there was some of the stock missing. Really this hashappened so many bloody timesthat i feel like just packing up and leaving . Maybe become a bum in Holland. I am quite young for my position so i amtrying to build a rep here as a reliable manager.

When you end up getting ripped ofevery single time bythe indigens of nigeria in one way or another, you tart asking youself was kafka right and the meaning of life is death,?

A friend of mine bought a car a few days ago and had it brought to his areaand hired and paid for a lotof security in transport and security for thecar and even though he went through all of this his car hasn't arrived. All arrangements were made and he saw it all through and yet , nthing.

I feel for my friend as he spaedntalot of money to get the car here. and he works really hard.

I have to say there is no one in nigeria anyonecan trust 100% or even 5% because everyone is always trying to screw the next person over.

Nigeriaor at least Lagos and Ibadan are 1/8 of a layer beneath the skin a pirates denn. Thieves killer and scam artists at every corner.

Maybe 3% of the entire pop of these 2 places and maybe most of the others are really dubous chrachters.

If you are a foreigner and thinking of coming here to invet in the country i implore you i beg you please DO NOT. No matter what anyone tells you. If you like being cheated robbed , and God knows how else the people here will Bleep you over please come here. If not STAY THE Bleep AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Really

This is a TRUE story.

A politician in Nigeria was being interviewed many years ago.
Interviewer: "Nigeria doesn't have many minerals, does it?"
Politician: "Of course we do! We have coke, sprite, 7-up, "

A Chadian supporter followed his national team to Lagos last year to watch a match against the Flying Eagles. As the visitor toured the city, he was fascinated by view of the numerous towering sky-scrapers.

A local then walked up to him and challenged: "Why are you looking at the buildings? Don't you know that you must pay to look at them?" The nervous visitor then offered to pay the fee.

"How many buildings have you looked at?" demanded the Lagosian. ", er er two!" replied the Chadian. The applicable "fees" were then exchanged but as the two men parted, the Chadian said to himself: "Stupid Nigerian! I cheated him! I have looked at ten buildings, but I paid him for just two!"

Immediately after the rainy season in Nigeria, President Jerry Rawlings of Ghana made the first of a series of visits to Nigeria in order to hold talks with General Sani Abacha. Their talks would take place over the next 9 months as they would seek to develop a micro enterprise system among small businessmen from both countries as well as enter into a free trade agreement with the two neighboring countries.

Upon arrival at the airport, Jerry Rawlings and his entourage of 25 were greeted by Abacha and his entourage of 50. There, they exchanged pleasantries and immediately drove off in Abacha's Limousine.

They were not five minutes out of the airport when Jerry Rawlings spotted a man urinating at the side of the road. Five minutes had passed and Rawlings saw at least six more men relieving themselves at the side of the road.

Too his amazement, Rawlings then spotted a woman and her four children all urinating on the road.

It was at this point that Rawlings threw up his has in disgust. "Why is it that Nigerians are so dirty? Every place I look, I see someone urinating or taking a S_ _ _ on the street as if it were a toilet. Can't you maintain better control of your people?" said Rawlings.

"Shut up!" yelled Abacha. "You stop all of this self righteous rubbish immediately! Everywhere in Africa, this is the way of life. All Africans do this. And besides, you can not fool me for one minute and tell be your people are above this."

As silence came over them, Abacha made a mental note to himself, that on his next visit to Ghana he would point out how Ghanaians piss in the street.

Upon arrival with his delegation at the airport in Accra Ghana, Abacha made it his duty to point out the first urinator that he saw.

Jerry Rawlings was not yet finished asking how the Abacha family were doing, when no more than three minutes had passed since they departed the airport that Abacha so a man in a long white flowing robe urinating.

"Mr. President! Look. I thought you said your people don't piss on the streets?" said Abacha.

In a fit of rage, Rawlings ordered his driver to stop at once and apprehend this violator. When the man in the white robe was brought forth Abacha's eyes bulged from his face and he fainted.

The cause of such reaction was he recognized the roadside pisser in white was his (Abacha's) Minister of Housing and Development!!!!! cheesy

Why should we be proud of nigeria?
Please somebody answer me that?

Come on! People have any of you been here?

I travel in and around Nigeria most of the time. I can tell you this there are very many people that i know from all walks of life would rather be born somewhere else.

In Nigeria there is no such thing as a good deed and any form of hoinesty is slowly drained of of the poeple. People here will always be nice to anyone from another country and will always be more friendly or ''kiss'' ass to the whites.

shocked

Come on how can anyone be proud to come from here-!

With all respect but maybe none of you have been here for a long ass time. or never and you only hear others stories.

I was in Ghana a few months ago and as i was at the border got really thirsty but had no local currency with me. Isaw a bunch of ghanaians travelling to nigeria and they saw my plight and paid for me to have something to drink. I will say now i am not white, okay. I offered torepay them in Naira and they refused anything else i offered they refused.

They wished me a good trip and hoped i had a good experience in Ghana.

In Nigeria something like that has never happened to me or to anyone i know.

Also if you pay your bill anywhere it would take a long ass time before you get your change , if you ever do.
Anywhere you go you are going to get cheated in one way or another.
