Nairaland / General / Re: My Experience With Racists. by nikai(m): 10:14am On Dec 01, 2014
[quote author=Amefrica post=28457061][i]Hi guys, due to what's going on in our world at the moment, I think it's hightime we started loving each other. I had an encounter with racist people some weeks ago..

My flatmate (a Nigerian) and I went to the mall about some weeks ago to get our winter clothings and all, after we got all paid, we went to the bus-stand to wait for the bus - we got to the stand and met a Canadian man probably in his mid to late forties waiting for the bus too, I said "Hello, how you doing today? Nice weather, isn't it?" The man just bone face, he didn't even answer, my flatmate looked at me and we just acted like it didn't happen.

What he did next was something that irritated me. Immediately he packed his bags and went to the stand opposite us to meet a Canadian woman sitting down too, we didn't give 2 hoots until they started saying some things we couldn't hear, laughing uncontrollably and pointing fingers right at us. My mate got infuriated and wanted to confront them I calmed him down, that they were just ignorant. Few minutes later, the bus came they got on the bus, me and my mate intentionally sat next to them, lo and behold they stood up and went way back to the end of the bus. I was just shaking my head!

For real, racism has got to stop. You have different wardrobes of many colours, can't God have humans with different colours too?

Tho, I've met so many respectful, kind, nice people here. When I told my female bestfriend who is a Canadian too, she asked me to describe them, that she wants to kick their a'ss, I just told her not to worry. I really wish racism could end for good. We have to learn to live and tolerate each other, irrespective of race, religion etc..

My broda no be d colour make dem dey avoid una,if u had asked I guess their fear would av been EBOLA.
It just shows hw we often colour ourselves BAD n BLACK because of money in d form of grants frm d so-called Western World.
Imagine d way n manner in which d news of d Ebola outbreak in West Africa is being widespread is more than Obama' Presidential Campaign.
One can also imagine d statement that over 1million people or five out of ten persons in Lagos are HIV infected.
I was chatting wit a Black Trinadad n Tobago guy who told me dat their Home office would nt welcome me now to T&T due to d Ebola outbreak in Naija.
Who go tell dem say Ebola don enter Naija? No be d Naija govt so as to get access to fund.when Ebola enter U.S we nor hear about am again o.Americans are stil touring all over the World without embarrassment of quarantine.Abeg make we Africans especially we Naija people use our heads n minds o.
So tell me if ur own people report u to d police as a criminal, abeg tel me wetin d police go do?

Nairaland / General / Re: What Are The Wackiest Bus Graffitis You've Ever Seen? by nikai(m): 6:06pm On Nov 16, 2014
[quote author=Ishilove post=9604499]If you've lived in Lagos all your life like i have, I'm sure you would be familiar with the various Naija graffiti that adorn the bodies of the various rickety contraptions that pass for buses here in Lagos. tongue

They range from the thought provoking to the downright hilarious. The funniest ones I have seen are

"Halat your boy",

"From Lagos to London: by bus ",

"Omo Alhaja Swagga",

"Too much wise make man foolish", to mention a few :-D.

"E beru eyan"

So which memorable graffiti(s) have you seen? Drop yours
