What if you are staying for 4 years? Do you also need to show funds for living expenses for 4 years?

ShowYoung:

If you are staying for 1 year, you will show 1 year living expenses: if you are staying for 2 years, you need to show 2 year living expenses or demonstrate that the fund is always readily available.

That stuff the successful ones did to be successful with an application with a sponsor who isn't related to em is what I want to know. I need someone with that kind of experience to tell me how he/she dealt with the situation please. That's all I want.

I have no pictures with my sponsor. And he is not related to me. That is my problem now. That's why I've not applied for the study visa yet. I don't how to go about the whole sponsor thing. I was thinking, he should send the whole money to either of my parents account. So i can use them as my sponsors instead. I don't how practical that might be. Nothing is in this my head now. I'm confused about the whole process. If only my parents were rich. kiss cry

Osemigho:

Let your sponsor pay your one year tuition in full and transfer some living expenses to your account. Submit pictures together and any other documents to show your relationship.

Exactly, everybody's sponsor must not be a relative. I get that. Buh those successful scenarios are few. I've been reading the thread. And I'm yet to see. Buh i really need to get first hand experience from someone with that kinda sponsorship. The processes the person underwent to ensure a successful application. I'm on a limited timeline and i can't afford to fail.
Do i need to convince him to send the lump sum into my parents account? My mum owns a school, but her closing balance is not even up to 500k. Her transactions revolved around thousands. Not in millions. Do i need to make him pay the school fees of the school.?

Secondly, the school is University of Saskatchewan. Computer Science dept. The start date is September 1. But my acceptance letter is valid until January 2023. I spoke with the admissions officer of the school and she said i could register for either fall or winter term. If i register for winter term then i would start by January thereby allowing time for my study permit to be processed

With reference to the bolded in your comment above: it's the best way of proving relationship between an applicant and a sponsor; yes, it's incontestable: but in your case as you have explained the relationship between you and your sponsor; what happens if your sponsor is not closely related to you? Does it mean there is no way to establish and prove cordial relationship? Does it mean everybody's sponsor must be a relative?

Please someone should help me with the link to part 1 of this travel thread. I've searched for it and I've not seen it yet.

I secured my admission since December last year, applied for school scholarships around March. None forthcoming yet. I want to apply for the study permit now. And recent comments on this thread shows that it's best for sponsors to be closely related to whomever they are sponsoring. In my situation. My sponsor has a company in Canada. And he is capable of sponsoring me. I just don't want to make mistakes especially concerning the proof of funds aspect. I dunno if there is any other option or line of thought that I've not considered already to ensure positive responses from the VO

ShowYoung:

Any legitimate person can be your sponsor in as much as you can prove relationship and explain beyond reasonable doubts the reason for sponsorship. This lies in how strong and constructive your SOP and documentation is.

Kindly refer to and read from part 1 of this thread in order to be loaded with the right information on how to apply for study permit: but let me summarize the process.

Visa application is a straight forward process that requires transparency and thorough documentation and explanations.

To begin, you must secure an admission and honour all the terms and conditions of the admission; after this, you can proceed to applying for study permit. After applying, you'll be asked to do biometric: you could wait to be asked to go for medical examination or do it upfront. After these processes, you must wait for a decision on your application. A decision can be given within days, weeks, months, a year or more depending on some factors and how complex your situation is.

You will need to ask questions on each step as you progress.

Please, i need advice on how to go about my visa application, especially concerning the proof of funds stuff.

My sponsor isn't related to me but is a huge close friend to my mum. And he is residing in Canada already. How do I go about the visa application so that i won't get rejected?
