Politics / If The Rich & Those In Power Are Nigerians, Who Are The Masses? Equal Rights!!! by NjarTakon: 2:48am On May 10, 2016 |
I was watching the news the other day, 21st April and then there it was; Our House of Representatives members were arguing on what should be done to the Controller General of the Nigeria Prisons, Dr Peter Ekpendu, Who they say sat in his car and watched as his aide battered a female lawmaker (member house of representatives). I was shocked but I would not lie because my mama taught me better. I was also very happy. I will tell you why later. So I did a little research and apparently The House has ordered Ekpendu to immediately appear before its interior committee to answer questions about the above mentioned incident. This decision was taken after a motion by minority leader Leo Ogor, who came under a matter of privilege to inform the House that some personnel of the prisons CG “assaulted and harassed” a member of the house of representatives on Wednesday. Read further, According to Ogor, the unnamed House of Reps member was slapped mercilessly on the face by an aide to the CG. Ogor said: “A member of this great chamber was leaving for a service, while the convoy of the CG Prisons was passing. She was blocked and an aide to the CG battered her car. One of the security officers slapped her on the face. And here is the final blow that got me furious; The Controller General of prisons will sit in the comfort of his car, while a Nigerian is being assaulted? He said. Some people will say the Controller General of Prisons should be stripped of his rank or even worst. I say nothing should be done to him. Why you may ask; because so many Nigerians are suffering from injustice, military maltreatment and more heinous fate out there, but nothing is being done about it. Our so called leaders turn a blind eye. When I say Leaders; I don’t mean the President or Governors, I mean that female lawmaker who was given a good slap and her counterparts. Why I am happy; I am happy because someone with so much affluence, influence, and power had felt what it feels like being treated like a nobody. Treated like you don’t matter, like an animal with no right, no voice and no leader. Why I am furious with this last sentence from the Minority leader; ‘The Controller General of prisons will sit in the comfort of his car, while a Nigerian is being assaulted?’ Mr Minority Leader, Sir Leo Ogor the Controller General did exactly what you all do. Sit with folded hands and legs, turning a blind eye to the injustice we the poor and voiceless masses face daily. If you are summoning him, then who will summon the house of representative members? When a bus driver in Lagos State was battered to the point of death by a military official, what did you people do? When elderly women in Delta State were beaten and trampled on at the command of a soldier, what did you do? Now, since it is a Member of the House of Representatives that was maltreated they remember that Nigerians have rights. It is obvious and true to conclude that the rich and those in power are the ones termed 'Nigerians'. Since they are always given preferential treatment. Who are the poor masses then? Slaves? A Means to an End? Or maybe we are just Animals? We Want Equal Rights!!! The Real Nigeria!!! For more facts about Nigeria click here. http://thereal9ja..com.ng/

Politics / Seems Our 2016 Budget Is Fruadulent... And So Were The Past Ones Too... by NjarTakon: 7:49pm On Feb 28, 2016 |
Nigeria's proven oil reserves are estimated by the United States Energy Information Administration (EIA) at between 16 and 22 billion barrels, but other sources claim there could be as much as 35.3 billion barrels. Its reserves make Nigeria the tenth most petroleum-rich nation. The average oil price for 2011-2014 was $110-$120 per barrel. But projections for the country's budget were made at $77-$79 per barrel. With over $30 excess. These Excess Crude Funds is missing. Nigerian National Petroleum Cooperation owns 60% stake in oil exploration contracts. Crude oil production is averaged around 2.3 million barrels per day. Our 2016 budget sums up to 6.1trillion naira. My Analysis: Oil price as at today is $29.96 per barrel. Lets put the oil price at $26 per barrel $26 per barrel * 2.3 million barrel per day = $59.8billion daily. $21.78billion yearly = N4.34trillion (naira) Since we own 60% = N2.795trillion Supposed Oil Revenue = N2.795trillion Non-Oil Revenue = N1.45trillion Projected Independent Revenue = N1.51trillion TOTAL = N5.755trillion Note: This calculations doesn't include bids made on individual oil blocs or Sales made from our locally refined crude... Why then do they need to borrow N1.84trillion? And don't forget that some ministries added extra of billions to their budgets.. More over, where is the supposed sum of $30billion in our Excess Crude Account made from 2011-2014 oil boom sales? Finally, Our budget for those 4years was based on $79 per barrel, which is way more than enough to cover our annual needs. So, Where did the other generated revenue go? I am no economist so my analysis maybe wrong, but, this is just common sense/logic, since our government have decided not to be transparent and proactive. No More Fooling Us!!! No More Fraudulent Leaders!!! We want TRANSPARENCY!!! The Real Nigeria... Read More Here: http://thereal9ja..com.ng/2016/02/seems-our-2016-budget-is-fruadulent-and.html

Crime / Kidnapping Is Just A Means To Survive... Why Blame The Youths? by NjarTakon: 7:40pm On Feb 28, 2016 |
Kidnapping in Nigeria is not news anymore. But it's just a means of survival for the suffering youths. The Ijaw National Congress (INC) condemned the abduction of 72-year-old foster father of former President Goodluck Jonathan, Chief Inegite Jonathan. INC described the kidnap of Inegite on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 as one heinous act too many, adding that it was a clear indication that the common people on the streets were not safe. Also mother of the Rivers State Commissioner for Information, Austin Tam-George, Madam Patience Tam-George, age 85-years, was kidnapped some days ago. I am not a fan of crime. But, how will this crime stop? When our leaders keep making life difficult for we the young masses with active but idle minds. They steal our funds and care-less about our needs. He said “The security agencies must track the perpetrators of Chief Inegite’s abduction. Both the Federal Government and the security agencies must as a matter of emergency do everything within their powers to stem the tide of rising kidnapping in the Niger Delta and other parts of the country,”. I say that is nonsense!!! If our so called Federal Government had put in place a system that thinks of it's masses these crimes would not have been happening. Instead we have a system that turns a blind eye and promote the crimes committed by those in power... They Need To Survive!!! As the Bible says "An Idle MIND is the DEVILS WORKSHOP"... We have hardworking youths, with intelligent minds. But they are all suffering and wasting away. Nothing is free and fair. You can not get any job without having connections. And what I mean by connections is having someone of influence in the hierarchy of power. They say our economy is bad, but still our political leaders buy luxury cars and houses everyday. Why won't the youth result to crime? Why won't they kidnap the families of our greedy leaders? Now I ask; Who Is To Blame? The Real Nigeria!!! Politics / Overlooked Key Sectors Retarding The Growth Of Our Economy by NjarTakon: 7:30pm On Feb 28, 2016 |
Nigeria, the giant of Africa, a place with over 160million people, positioned at the best location in Africa. A country with the best of weather conditions, favorable for export crops, minerals and lots of resources. A republic aged about 53years, yet still UNDERDEVELOPED!!! Yes the transformation is on going, but it's taking forever. I carried out a survey on some Nigerian youths to find out "What Key Sectors Our Government Should Focus On." And the results are as follows: Power (Electricity) - 87% Industrialization - 72% Infrastructures - 78% Education - 60% Do you all agree? As for me, I agreed 100%. Buhari should focus on other sectors, and not just his corruption cause. POWER (Electricity): Nigeria got its independent in 1960, over 55years ago. From then till today there have never been a time where we have had electricity for 24hours. Yes, it's that bad. Most times we stay for months without power. Power is the backbone of any society. It's a basic need of man and his-self development. It's also the major need of any country for it's development, industrialization and investment. How are we going to grow as a nation when we lack the major need for our development? READ MORE HERE: http://thereal9ja..com.ng/2016/02/overlooked-key-sectors-retarding-growth.html

Crime / We Are Born Into Corruption; That's The Real Nigeria..... by NjarTakon: 2:05pm On Feb 11, 2016 |
As the bible says "We were born into sin". Same way in Nigeria "We are born into corruption". Ours is a society where corruption is a culture. A person encounters corruption at every point in life, which he must involve in other to progress/thrive. From elementary school where teachers favor kids from wealthy homes, and are less concerned about those from poor homes. This impacts the knowledge of bribery at a very tender age into the young ones. This young minds continue to secondary and tertiary institutions with this same philosophy. Politics / Fight Against Corruption In Nigeria Is One Big Scam! by NjarTakon: 1:57pm On Feb 11, 2016 |
The Chief of Army Staff, COAS, Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai, said that the Army cannot probe ex-service chiefs involved in procurement of weapons for the fight against Boko Haram because they had retired. According to him, all the service chiefs and other senior officers involved in the procurement have so far retired, hence the Army is limited on the extent it could go to investigate the procurement. This ex-service chiefs are retired, but not dead. They should be indicted, as they can speak for themselves. Mr President say he is fighting corruption yet some people are allowed to go free. Some Ex Governors, Senators, Minister etc, that were said to be involve in diverting public funds have not been named till date. If the fight against corruption in Nigeria is partial, Then This Cause Is One Big Scam!!! This Is The Real Nigeria. Read More Here: thereal9ja..com

Health / Britain May Have Just Found The Cure For HIV And Sickle Cell by NjarTakon: 11:49pm On Feb 01, 2016 |
Britain's fertility regulator has approved a scientist's request to edit the human genetic code in an effort to fight inherited diseases — but critics fear the new technique crosses too many ethical boundaries. The Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority announced Monday it has granted a research application to a team led by scientist Kathy Niakan to try to understand the genes that human embryos need to develop successfully. Scientists say gene-editing techniques could one day lead to treatments for conditions like HIV, which causes AIDS, and inherited diseases like muscular dystrophy and sickle cell disease. The genetically modified embryos would then be transferred into women. Amazing Right? Read More Here: http://takonfacts..com.ng/2016/02/britain-approves-controversial-human.html

Crime / ISIS Releases Photo Of Bomb That Brought Down Russian Airplane by NjarTakon: 5:55pm On Nov 19, 2015 |
The Islamic State group has released a photo of a bomb hidden in a soft drink can that it said had brought down a Russian passenger jet over Egypt last month, and it also announced it had killed hostages from Norway and China. Bob Ayers, a former CIA officer and an international security analyst, said it would be "easy" to bring down a commercial airliner with a device hidden in a soda can. "To bring down an airplane, you don't need to blow it apart, you just need enough to rupture the pressure hull of the aircraft, and the air pressure will do the work for you," he said. A can with a device inside could "blow a really nice hole" in an airplane, he said. Read More On: http://takonfacts..com.ng/2015/11/is-releases-photo-of-bomb-that-brought.html

Its inventors say it could be the next big thing for those hard of hearing -- a portable "ear" that sets off different colored lights, depending on the sound. Someone knocks, the light turns green. Someone yells, it flashes red. The device is called StickEar and the team at Singaporean startup Embodied Sensing has launched a crowdfunding campaign to get the first ones made. For the blind, the team is developing the FingerReader, a ring that "reads" words aloud as you slide your finger along them. "Your fingertip of your index finger is your cursor. And the word in front of your index finger is read back to you. If you're deviating from the line, it vibrates and gives you a signal to come back to the line. Hate to break it to you, but you probably have herpes. Turns out, nearly two-thirds of the global population is infected with herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1), according to a recent report released by the World Health Organization (WHO). The WHO researchers estimated that 3.7 billion people under the age of 50 are infected with HSV-1, which is best known as a cause of cold sores. Another 417 million people worldwide aged 15-49 have HSV-2, the type most often thought of as a sexually transmitted disease. But get this; 140 million adults have genital infections caused by HSV-1, meaning half a billion people could sexually transmit either virus.
