Please house, I have a problem. I did DIY since at Benin office since May 12. My passport is yet to be out. I went there last week, they said they are still printing March. I'm really tired of waiting.

Please any suggestions on what I can do to get it out?
Travel / Re: Nigerian Nurses And Midwives With The Dream Of Working Abroad Let's Meet Here. by Nkepedia: 3:19pm On May 27, 2021
Please I have a question, does internship year count as work experience in USA. Georgia state board requires 500 hours of clinical practice before you can apply for registration as a RN.

Good morning everyone!

I have a few questions for the experienced elders, and your answers will guide me towards making informed decisions.

I'm a fresh grad from the uni, I studied nursing and I love Australia. Here are my questions,

1. I noticed that some people here came into Aussie from the UK, how long did you live in the UK before leaving?

2. To what extent did your work experience in the UK help in getting same or similar job in Aussie?

3. For nurses, how easy can it be to convert UK Nursing license to Aussie?

I want to go to UK first cos of the sponsorhip to give to nurses so no need to spend your money as such and their process is very easy. I heard Aussie is very hard.

Sweet heart pls talk. We need to hear your own side of the story. I'm planning to sign up with an agency to work in Ireland. Your experience might just help my critical thinking at this time. Ejoor oo

School of health is not school of nursing and its very wrong to say that university nursing is administrative while the other is practical nursing.

The truth is both learn the same thing however, the scope of learning in university is wider and incorporate extensive learning from other associated areas such as psychology, microbiology, biochemistry etc.

Please encourage the young girl to go through the university.

Its been long I read something this smooth on Nairaland. Kudos sir .
Here comes my question :how do you write so well , is it an inbuilt ability or you got this from years of consistent reading and practising ?
I find it hard sometimes to convey my thoughts into words . There are times i write and I feel ashamed of myself because my words were badly put together.

Another question I would love your opinion on is: I have a 15 yr old cousin who's torn between studying medicine and Nursing ,but as it is, her 220 UTME score won't get her an invite for UI Post UTME, so i urged her to try science lab tech at Yabatech, get good grades in her forthcoming WAEC Exam and prepare well for next year.
You might ask me why i am asking this question on her behalf ,well ,she's someone I took interest in ever since she lost her Dad when she was 8 .
How a young girl would be so interested in her future amazes me .Each time I visit them, she always ask me to buy her books, share with me her term results laced with distinctions and how chemistry bores her but her lowest grade was 71.
I have been trying in my little way to expose her on her dream course , got few text books , have her watch Grey Anatomy etc to gear her up but there's a limit to what I can do at the moment because of the financial implications .
So, how good is a Nursing degree obtained from the university compared to school of Nursing?
My Aunt attended Ogun state school of health (Nursing major) and i kid you not, she's extremely good.
She once told me Nursing degrees are more of administrative nursing while school of health deals more with practicals.

what do you mean there’s nothing like poor elasticity? What are you practicing, because clearly you don’t know what you are talking about. Genetically some women have poor elasticity, some have great. Some women will go right back in to shape, with no flabby skin and a toned body after pregnancy. Women with poor elasticity will have loose skin, excess fat and cellulite for years that will be almost impossible to get rid of. The same goes with the vagina. There’s no amount of waiting that can heal beyond measures when the natural elasticity of the woman is poor. I’m not saying there’s not certain things you can do to help, however waiting a year is totally unnecessary and there’s absolutely no difference if you wait 6 weeks or one year.

You are very right.....very unnecessary!

Most likely she was not breastfeeding the baby exclusively. If she did, she wouldn't have gotten pregnant. Once she is lactating and breastfeeding her baby regularly, the body sends a signal to the brain, the brain then block the secretion of the hormones responsible for ovulation and menstruation, hence pregnancy would not occur. Google lactational Amenorrhea as contraceptive method. This is effective from birth to the first six months specially within the first four months.

A lady I know got pregnant during her first sex less than 2 months after delivery, the lack of child spacing created a big problem in the home and the husband left her to catch his fun, coming home late, grooving around town and putting all the blames on her while she struggled with a new baby and pregnancy cheesy
Women be careful with sex after delivery, take all precautions
