Noisyrians:
don't mind the ediots. In Nigeria, there is what is called Certificate of Occupancy. That is a legitimate title of land ownership in nigeria.

to build a house legitimately in Nigeria, you need a valid certificate of occupancy and then permission to build. you call it a building permit. if you don't have these two documents, the authorities can demolish your property and take over your land. It happened in Abuja when one el Rufai demolished hundreds of buildings without valid certificate of occupancy and building certificates.

these nigerians know these things very well. But because they are stvpid grin they don't want to accept the facts grin

Do you know what a title certificate is?

without it, you don't own the land.

Secondly, the High Commission did not buy the land from the rightful owners.

Stvpid goat, let’s see if that land will belong to the high commission when it is all over. Ghana is a country ruled by law. This is what will happen. The case will go to court. The nigerian high commission will be asked to produce their official title to the land, they have none grin they case is thrown out and the Ghanaian claimant takes over the land.

There is nothing the Ghana government can or will do about it because the land did not belong to the government. The land belonged to the people of Osu. Stvpid nigerians without sense. When el Ruffai was demolishing houses in Abuja without CoO and buiding permit yiu didn’t see anything wrong with it. Disgraceful mudder fuggerz. Your high commission bought land without getting title. You think buying land is like buying groundnut? grin

Build what back? You don’t even own the land and you didn’t obtain permission to build. You don’t have locus, you don’t even have a legal basis to claim anything. You are just blowing hot air cool produce your certificate of occupancy first grin

joviegghead:
Hi.
Are you seriously shitting me?!
High commission paid. It's even got a letter of allocation and right of entry to the land issue by the land commission itself.
But one document - Title certificate... Just this document led to the demolition of a the building which must have cost a lot.

I don't care about any article quoted by Nigeria's minister. I not even sure it's valid but..
They must build it back

Ghanaians and their bitter rivalry with Nigeria ehn.

Stop talking nonsense! You don’t know the nigerian high commission did not have certificate of ownership to that land? Can you nigerians produce any document that gives you official title to that land? Your embassy officials admitted they don’t have title to the land, even though they paid for the land 20 years ago. Isn’t that very shameful? grin

You Nigerians should bow your heads in shame. Even a child born today knows buying land is not like buying garri or rice grin you have to get relevant documentation to give you title to the land.

Didn’t el-Rufai do a similar thing in Abuja some years ago? Nigerians are damn fvcking hypocrites grin

Multiplier7:
Ghana is really backward this days and I have my reasons for it.

1. Destroying someone's property without proper legal means is very illegal and uncivilized. There should be due processes but they failed to follow them because it is Nigeria. Of course, they hate that word Nigeria with passion.

2. In Ghana, there police station was attacked by robbers and a lot of things stolen (can you imagine). This thing happened in Nima. A whole police station my people robbed. That's really pathetic. What does police station stand for again? But in Ghana ,reverse is the case.

3. Now fast ward to what happened in a whole Accra o their capital city. Investigation revealed that police station was close by that Nigeria high commission house. Calls where made and no police officer showed up. This can never ever happen in Abuja. But an average Ghanaian believes Nigeria is this and that. What happened in Ghana was a total disgrace to them, a disgrace to Africa and disgrace to civilization.

They should should grow up to their responsibilities.

honestly speaking nigerians are a big disgrace cool upon all the gra gra trash nigerians have been spewing, it turned out the nigerian high commission did not even have title to the land grin

you nigerians should hide your faces in shame grin you go to a foreign country, buy a piece of land to build your embassy and you don't have the required certificates? no sane person should endorse this shameful behaviour by you nigerians.

few years ago, el-Rufai, minister of federal capital territory, in your country, was busy demolishing houses in Abuja that were built without certficate of occupancy (CoO). even those who had CoO, but no permit to build had their buildings pulled down. And all you hailed el Rufai for trying to sanitise your rotten country grin Today, because it is Ghana, you mudder fuggerx are shouting crap!

From where I sit, there is no way the nigerian high commission will get that land back. The case will end up in court and judgement will be entered in favour of the Ghanaian claimants grin next time you people will learn sense grin

“Unfortunately, owing to the fact that the High Commission did not obtain a lease following the allocation letter, or proceed to obtain a Land Title Certificate or even a building permit for the new property, a search by the Lands Commission did not show that any proper documentation had been obtained in respect of the property,” the committee stated. v

The man claiming this land from the nigerian high Commission should contact me or get a good lawyer. He can get easily get his land back. The nigerian high commission doesn’t even have anything to prove they bought the land. They didn’t apply for permission to build the building they were building, which is against the law in Ghana.

As fast as I am concerned, this is not the end of the matter. It will end up in court, and the court will rule in favour of the Ghanaian party claiming the land. But let me ask oo. In Nigeria, when people buy land, don’t they keep receipts and relevant documents to prove ownership? I am just curious.

Oh no. The high commission did not have title to the land? And they did not even obtain permission to construct the building? Why is nobody talking about these serious infractions? For failing to follow laid down procedures for acquiring land and building a property in Ghana, those Nigerian officials should be penalized.

what stops Nigeria from removing zeros from its currency, if it is that simple? I hope next time you go and change money into cedis, you will tell the currency changer to add those zeros to the rate he or she will offer you, huh?

i don't know what all these negative sentiments about Ghana by nigerians is all about. Ghana is better then Nigeria on many scores. is it life expectancy, is it about FID inflows, even inflationary figures? per capita GDP, economic growth? poverty levels? access to health and education? access to electricity? access to health care? corruption index? Ghana leads Nigerian on every single assessment.

even the roads in Ghana are better than the roads in Nigeria. It is not enough to shout Nigeria is better than Ghana. Give us concrete and verifiable reasons to support that.
