Travel / Re: South African Visa Needed by Nokwazi(f): 1:12pm On Mar 13, 2007 |
Nigerians are not welcome in South Africa, sheesh !! Since 2004 South Africa has seen more Nigerian immigrants than ever before and the numbers are growing steadily everyday. South Africa is the latest transit stop over for many Africans wishing to settle abroad. By assuming SA citizenship, and buying all the necessary documentation, visas.Because South Africans are most welcome in the West and Europe, quickly, they jump over to any old country in the world and settle there as South Africans. Do you know any Nigerians living in South Africa Constantin? Those that say they are not welcome here, it should be because unlike in many countries in the world, South Africans do not fall for the Naija charm and charisma that easily. Chiken-ice get your visa the way you know, why should you pretend that there is another way. You want to come to Souty, come my friend, you will pay from the minute you set foot here, so make sure you have dollars in your pocket, and a smooth tongue, to talk you way out of any tight spot. You be Naija, do am the way Naija do am, now !! |
Family / Re: Toilet Seat Debate by Nokwazi(f): 2:40pm On Mar 09, 2007 |
Well spoken Douzy Nor here in South Africa, we are just grateful that we have the toilet to use, especially when you know that many people still do not have proper sanitation facilities in Africa. In my village they still use the pit toilet system and I go there quite often, mind you, so I know |

Romance / Re: Somebody Help Me Before I Break Up With My Nigerian Boyfriend! by Nokwazi(f): 8:01am On Feb 27, 2007 |
Evil Mia, Drop the loser with immediate effect. He has no respect for you and the first date is the only chance he has to impress you and treat you like a princess. He has blown his chances and from hereon it can only get worse. Do not compromise. There are plenty of guys out there who will treat you the way you deserve and this guy does not deserve you sista. Apologies at this point in time do not count for anything either, he is a brute and chances are he will not change and may even turn nasty. There are plenty of good Nigerian men out there, believe me. |

I know I always send out mixed signals just to throw a guy off and sort of put him to the test at the same time. If a girl likes you, you will know, if she does not, she will make sure you catch her drift. Eye contact, a smile, a touch on your arm when she addresses you, you will know believe me. We are the champions in expressing our feelings and emotions. Big sudden movements do scare us off, however, so avoid stalking and touching, give her a bit of space until she is comfortable with you, then make your move gently. |
Poems For Review / My Igbo Man by Nokwazi(f): 10:10am On Feb 20, 2007 |
My Igbo man By Nokwazi Gugushe Have you seen my Igbo man? He went this way, they say I can still recall the day The keys for my car to him I gave. Have you seen my Igbo man? To the suburbs he has moved but why? For our son and for I, he is now shy But the paper for his stay he did receive Have you seen my Igbo man? He now seeks a mugu! they cry But that, why should he even try? Power of attorney he finally did get Has anyone seen my Igbo man? By airplane he has flown, they warn But why does he still call at dawn And say, Baby, baby I dey gone |
Poems For Review / Poem By Nokwazi Gugushe by Nokwazi(f): 6:17am On Feb 20, 2007 |
In memory of Tochi Amara Iwuchukwu To the gallows I never knew a young boy called Amara Sent to the edge of the world not by his mother Carrying not a gift for his host, but his own poison A rope for him they wove fit for the winter season. I never got to meet a boy called Tochi He was way too brave well beyond his age. He took the way that they told him to by air Another man’s fortune to be his own despair Did he say goodbye, did he cling to his father? Did he tell his mother he will see her in a world another As the sun in the East did rise, his last meal they did prepare As they led him to the rope, his hands and feet to the cold, bare I never knew a boy whose father was called Iwuchukwu Yet for him I cry and the tears do not cease to flow For the men who sent him, I will create a strong kind of voodoo Their song and dance I will stop, as Oluchi, did never grow |
