Travel / Re: FG Places Travel Restrictions On Ministers, Others by noniwealth(f): 8:06pm On Dec 30, 2019
Simplyleo:
Well, I don't think this should be.

It would have been more appropriate if the policy places emphasis on foreign trips by ministers only when it is very necessary. Otherwise, it should be at the expense of the traveller and no allowances (estacode) for such.

But placing a ceiling at the official number of foreign trips by public office holders doesn't seem to make sense.

It is possible a minister need not travel offially in a year, conversely, a minister may also need to go out of the country more than 10 times in a year. It all depends on necessity.

It means they travel for unnecessary purpose with our money, with many aides self
Cos I see no reason for restrictions if their purpose is good for the nation

You should also penalise officers at traffic light where the orange light is faulty.
Imagine they remove the orange light intentionally just and set time between the green and red to be less than 10 seconds,so they can jump in ur car to arrest you.
Just imagine officers that are meant to control traffic causing confusion

There's something about power I do not understand. When those politician are seeking for political power, the seems to be visionary and know exactly the problems of this country. But as soon as they're elected, they'll be clueless and making irrational policies. And soon as they're voted out power or their time elapsed, their reasoning will be back to default settings. I've observed this scenario with people like Shehu Sani, Ben Murray-Bruce and even Obasanjo.

Few years down the line this Jigawa state Gov. Alh. Badaru will certainly reflect back and realise how stupid such misplaced priorities in the name of poverty alleviation looks.

He has all the resources to boost Crop production which Jigawa state is known for, but instead he chooses to share goats that might be stolen, die or even eaten by the beneficiaries.

Or even begin to destroy their crops.

Anyway its good to create Jigawa herds women

Romance / Re: 7 Common Reasons Why Ladies Say No To Marriage Proposals by noniwealth(f): 1:06am On Aug 13, 2015
missbronze:
Very correct.

Truth is that, not all men are husband material.

In one way or the other, a lady will see what will make her nt want to get married to a guy. or have her reason for nt accepting the marriage proposal.

But, trust guys, they will nt want to know the reasons, or accept their fualts, and, work towards being a better person.

Rather, they will start labelling the gal all sorts of name. and, will be wishing her evil.

I would say you are speaking from personal experience as its not all guys that will call a default gal evil names, most guys I know won't want to call a gal evil names as it automatically pronounce they were involved with the evil @ dat tym
The OP spoke facts, and truth is there is no husband material or wfe material, but we have to make do with what we have and mould him as husband material.
Some of us get decieved thinking a caring yahoo guy is a husband material while a caring official worker is not because he cannot meet up with our financial needs and also the tym D family demands of him atm.
I see most of theproblem as civilisation!
The gadgets and the ease of communication
In the past our love life relied upon lettersznand once u can write a touching letter to ur lover,it goes a long way in D relationship.
But these days f u don't call and another toaster that lives closer does the frequent calling and meeting of basc needs,I.e hair nails and if given room to sex,we discover we tend to believe the guy more than the husband to be,
Wat are ur criterias for a true husband material?

Please he needs response like yesterda & if possible with facts to back up the duration for spouse application process and how long before he can get a job.He is an IT guru with A+,Network+ & CWNP “Certified Wireless Network professional”pls Medlabgirl & Delta007 we need ur urgent advice on how to go about these or if she is right about her claims
Travel / Re: COMING TO CANADA??? Choose British Columbia by noniwealth(f): 12:41am On Feb 09, 2012
@medlabgirl,you have indeed done great with this thread & your prayers are answered Amen.Delta007 and everyone that's added positively to this thread will be greatly rewarded.
Please I need your advice on this as its really affecting my youger brother. He was working with an IT firm & doing good until early last year when the company could no longer afford his services anymore,he had a girlfriend in canada and they decided to tie the knots last month.the problem is They had plans coming to canada but after the marriage his wife went back to canada,{Alberta} with the marriage certs that he should fill the parmenent residence form & post to her to file the application from canada,on getting back to canada instead of the wife to do as agreed she decides to relocate back to Nigeria reasons are
1}The application will take up to 1yr
2} If he eventually come to canada he won't get a job until after 2yrs when he must have finished a training cos to enable him work in canada
3} The only job he can even get will be care aid & can never be a parmanent one because he is a man
3} He will not be able to achieve anything back home except if a miracle happens,
Meanwhile the guy has not been working for almost 8months now since he lost his last job & spent all his savings on the wedding held in january this year, this is really affecting him as the wife already has a building she is about to finish in nigeria and wants him to move in with her,he feels very uncomfortable about this & needs to know if these facts as stated by his wife is true about canada
1}He needs to know how long the application for spouse will take before he can be allowed entry to canada & how long it will take afterwards to get the citzenship
2} If its true he won't be able to get a job as she claims and will take 2yrs to get trained before he can work in canada
considering his present condition of no work in nigeria is she not better of staying with him in canada to see him through the process now that she has a parmenent job and can file for her husband now, this is a very touching feeling for him as I am begginig to feel the wife is just being selfish by not wanting him to come as she fears he might react after he got his papers, but I think her selfishness will still not make things work when obviously you are richer than your husband and wants him to move into your own built apartment.I don't know if I can explain the situation well as I'm not the one directly involved but it sorts af affects me too as he is my blood brother

Quote from DisGuy “is He paying for her upkeep there?

is he paying for her regular flight tickets down to nigeria every 4months?

if canada is so important to him why didnt he travel before meeting her?

talk about being fair!!
Do u mean he has to pay her rent & feeding in canada? Or has to pay her tickets @least every 4months while the application is in progress? They met in london & decides he comes home to apply for the canadian citizenship as they both agreed canadian economy is better than other countries,I am only worried for the sudden change of plan now that they got everything in place.
@Hotstepper thanx for seeing things in the right way,its no loss but advantage to both of them if she applies for it now.No sentiments.
All I need to know is how long the application will take & if they can apply for visiting whilst the citizenship application is in progress

Talking about being fair, people migrate for greener pastures from ancient times, the question is will their lives be better of in nigeria than canada?how do you know if she is truly planning staying in nigeria for the rest of her life?what if she decides goin back to canada if nigeria shows her the tough part she never thought of,& she packs her baggages to leave,is it then she will decide to apply for him?
Travel / Re: Canada & Nigeria,which Guarantees Ones Future by noniwealth(f): 8:08pm On Feb 04, 2012

what about if you applied for 2yrs and was denied for using fake statement of account, you appealed and won but the consular still refused and you appealed the grounds and was finally issued a 6months visa instead of 2yrs that you applied for claiming that though you got a 6months they have in their file verification that you had earlier used a fake statement, you had gone and stayed 3wks of the 6months.
Will such person be affected by this ban or there is no wahala as the visa was finally issued.
Romance / Who Cheats More? Men Or Women by noniwealth(f): 8:09pm On Apr 16, 2010
Is cheating more common with men or they are just loose about it
Its easier for men to accept that" yes i am sleeping with her so, "
but the woman would rather be caught red handed than admit he sleeps with her when the hubby is away
Its easier for men to pick a girlfriends call while the wife is somewhere around but the woman would rather say
Please dont call me today i will be out with my husband
What im saying is its common with men cos they can afford to leave traces while the woman will never
I hope u get where im coming from
What do you think?

He says they tell him UK is Lagos extension that sh**t happens. Please i really dont want him to live a miserable life out of ignorance thats why im trying my best to help him out

I have a friend who just got a UK visit visa for 6-months,and he is planning to go and stay for 2years before coming back, his reasons are
1. Nothing is reliable in Nigeria i e He works as a computer engineer here in Nigeria, Sells Laptops and mainatains networks for offices and cafes but lately he complains of businesses going down
2. He also breeds Dogs and says someday there might not even be enough money for nigerians to feed themselves to think of buying Dogs
3. Most of his friends are loosing their well paid jobs and somehow some of his clients too are affected and thereby he also has lost clients too
4. Now that he is not yet married and no issue yet, he can start a better life there in UK where his kids can be sure of sound education at the rate he can afford
5. He is afraid of loosing this opportunity as he went thru hell to get the visa and cant take chances to apply again
6. Plans to sell off his car, And 3Dogs (Rotweillers and Boerbull) to make documents to work in the UK
Now i need anyone with useful advice or info on how he can go about it to attain success eventually, or if he should just stay put here even if he is not lucky enough to get another visa.
Please kindly assist in advice or any help you think WILL BE USEFUL in his plight
