Is moringa safe for brea.stfeeding mums? I know it's not safe for pregnant women.

My 3 months old baby drools a lot and puts her hands in her mouth, at times it's as if she's sucking her finger, other times it's as if she just keeps the hand(s) in her munth. Could it be teething? She does nt run fever.

OK, tanks, used sudocream wen deer was rash on her cheek, d rash cleared bt left a light spot. Dats where d lightness started spreading 4rm 2 oda side of her face.

Sudocrem did the same to my baby's bum. The parts that I applied it to became lighter. After some days, the Sudocrem stopped working for the rash sef.

Sorry, I don't have an idea of what is on your baby's face.

Hello everyone, my baby now 4 months + has always pooed after every feed.He is exclusively breastfed but for the past 3 days, the color of the poo has changed to green. it's also very watery. sometimes he poos 2ce during a feed.and it could be explosive that it stains his back. What could be wrong please.I haven't been a very healthy eater i must admit.

You probably didn't allow him empty a b.reast before switching to another hence he's getting only fore milk while he needs the hind milk more. Try starting any new feeding from the b.reast he took last before switching to the second.

I took my baby for vaccination today and was told Rotavirus and pneumoccocal is N19,500. Please is it that expensive everywhere? I couldn't give her because I didn't have that much?

Marc9:

The pain in the n*pples, with the sore, is due to mastitis, an inflammation of the bre*st, particularly the n*pples and d the areola. An increase growth in Staph aureus in bre*st-skin most often leads to such pain and sore. Also, hyperprolactinaemia(high prolactin in the blood) can also result in painful n*pples.

The less painful n*pple should be used in bre*stfeeding, for a day or more, to give room for the other to heal up. Then you can interchange to also give room for the other to heal. You can take anti-inflammatory drug to relieve the pain, and also dab the n*pple/areola with warm water.

Thank you. I will do that.

@marc9, my baby is 7 weeks old but I'm always scared anytime I want to b.reastfeed her. I've been having very sore and painful n.ipples since her first week. I'm tired of going through this pain several times everyday. What can I do/use to stop this pain?

She latches on well.

Good day mamas, is it okay to give a baby on EBF water? Some people say that's why my baby cry at night and has frequent hiccups.

@roWzayy, sorry about your relative. Lesson learnt o.

@rezzy, I hope to stop EBF by 2 months too. I will resume work and my company has no day care or creche. God will see us through.

Did you do anything different to stop the frequent poo?

My baby is approaching 7 weeks and poo everytime he feeds and its kinda watering and has whitish kind of seed in it, sometimes its foamy. Im tired of it joor. Its 9 days since it started.

Sometimes, just when he sneezes or farts, little poo will jump out.

Pls, wht should i do?.
@jam04, i need response from u too.

Thanks all

A paediatrician recommended ORS and baby zinc. I used it for a day or two but stopped when I didn't see the effect. She still poops a lot but it has reduced compared to then.

God is your strength. Please, when you get a solution, I'll like to know.

@rezzy, thanks

U do not need to put breast milk in his eyes, the eyes will clear gradually by itself, I remember my MIL also told me to do dat buh I dint, cos I asked d doc and she said I should not put anything. God bless us,our children and our husbands.have a great holiday.

Thanks.

Sabi mamas, what can I use to clean my baby's nostrils? I thought of using cotton swabs but they are almost bigger than her nostrils. Also, how can I cut her fingernails? They are sharp and she uses it to scratch my skin sometimes.
Health / Re: NEW BORN BABIES! Are U A New Mum? Then Lets Discuss Babies Here!!!!! by NoQualms1(f): 4:11pm On Dec 18, 2014
I want to digress a bit. Is it true that putting breast milk in a baby's eyes will make them clear? My MIL just said I should start putting it in my baby's eyes. I know I won't do it though. It's just new to me and that's why I'm asking.

How is the poo situation now

We are still battling it o, every doctor we asked said it's normal. How can something like that be normal? Even an adult can't stand pooping severally in a day. It's just painful seeing her so uncomfortable.
Health / Re: NEW BORN BABIES! Are U A New Mum? Then Lets Discuss Babies Here!!!!! by NoQualms1(f): 4:19pm On Dec 13, 2014
Thanks for the responses but I'm sure she latches on well. I made research on it and corrected the way she feeds. It became better at a time but last night was crazy for me. She could not sleep and I could not too, she kept asking for food. It was so difficult.

I'm still open to suggestions on formula. Thanks.

Poo every hour is not normal. Is he EBF or he is taking formular?

She's on EBF but I want to introduce formula today. My tips are sore from excessive sucking, it seems breast milk no longer fills her.

Which formula can I give her? Thanks.
Health / Re: NEW BORN BABIES! Are U A New Mum? Then Lets Discuss Babies Here!!!!! by NoQualms1(f): 7:23am On Dec 13, 2014
Thank you mamas for the responses. I'm still dealing with it though but it's getting better.

I need suggestions on the formula I can get for her, she's almost 3 weeks old. Thank you mamas.

The poop is what is making her bumbum red, u will need to change her diaper often and use vaseline to rub her bumbum before wearing diaper for her.I hope this helps

Thank you so much. I will watch what I eat too. I already stopped taking milk.

Good day sabi people. My 16-day old daughter stools too often. It's almost an hour thing, if she passes gas, poop comes out with it. I went to the doctor to complain twice, he said it's normal. Yesterday, I noticed the inner part of her bottom at the back is red. As at this morning, it has turned to a wound.

Whenever she poops, she cries with all her energy and I believe it's the wound paining her. Same with if I touch that place. Please, what can I do to make the wound heal and fast? Thank you.
Travel / Re: Dangerous Bus-stops In Lagos by NoQualms1(f): 10:09am On Nov 03, 2014
Lagosians should be wary of under the bridge before Toyota bus stop when coming from Oshodi. I learnt they rape people there once it starts getting dark.

First Rainbow (La Roche) bus stop between mile 2 and Ijesha is also very dangerous. They rob there alot. Speaking from personal experience.

The council of elders did not apply ChidI-sense by evicting Samantha just before a task. Why did they just raise her hope like that?

They had better evict Canon too o. How can they evict 4 females back to back like that?

May the best man win.

Okay.

Please, who is d last man standing in today's task?

Canon. He's the new captain. Evi's eviction was unexpected. I noticed Chinedu was the first to get tired, later Cosy started showing signs of tiredness. I was thinking one of them will be the last.

Why was Canon repeating that he had the largest weight? Who told him that? He likes feeling like sonething I don't know, Mr Indifferent.

So the two Ikennas are evicted just like that. So painful for the doctor sha, I didn't expect him to leave this early especially when someone like Sharon is still in the race.

Anyone can win o, Dennis didn't deserve to win last year IMO but he did. I just hope someone deserving wins it this year.

Too bad that Sandra was evicted before someone like Sharon. If not for this team BS, those that would have been evicted will be Blessing, Nne Cosy, Ikenna I(with his igbotic accent), Sharon and/or Loretta.

I was hoping Sandra will be the last woman standing but she got herself evicted with her attitude. I hope she takes an important lesson away from GUS - the importance of teamwork.

I and my gal had unprotected sex twice last week, one on monday and friday. I didn't ejaculate inside her.. She took Postinor 2 on dat monday we had sex and didn't take on friday, she drank Alcohol havily on saturday, she also took me dat she took Potash on dis week Monday. The reason for all of this is to prevent pregnancy cuz we aren't ready to have a baby now and we don't wana do abortion. She was supposed to see her period dis week, but it hasn't come. Would it be early for her to go for a prenancy test?

Am 26 and she is 23

Dammit, all these to prevent pregnancy? I hope she doesn't spoil her womb before she clocks 25. How much does condom cost again sef? Take it easy o.

I was forced to comment ni though. I don't support pre-marital sex.
