However, my parents previous B1/2 visa expired in 2017 so would they be eligible for drop box at least?

Good day. Please I wish to ask a question.
My brother (Nigerian citizen) will Wed his fiancee (American citizen) sometime in December 2022 and I, my three sisters, and my parents wish to attend the wedding in the US. A friend informed me that the closest available date we can secure for a B1/B2 visa is mid 2024. Is it possible to secure any sooner date (perhaps sometime before December 2022) considering that the reason for our visit will happen in December 2022?
Is there any provision made by the US embassy to assist people in our shoes?

Can someone please advise us on what to do?

Yes Sir. My bimetric number, biometric date and expiry date reflected on my account same day I did the biometrics; but my account has never showed "biometrics completed". I have also reached out to VFS but was told to contact Canadian embassy. I'm really confused.

No idea why they are still asking you for fingerprints. Does your profile have a biometrics number (one long 20 digit number like that......directly above the biometric date and biometrics expiry date)? If so, I guess everything is fine.

If not, you may also want to reach out to VFS to see if the biometric information was transmitted.

I did my biometrics on the October 12, then my biometrics section displayed "We need your finger prints to process your application. Check your messages below for details". However, the date which I performed my biometrics (October 12, 2020) was reflected in my account and also the expiry date shows October 12, 2030. I then received an ADR to submit my "proof of biometrics" on December 09 which I sent through webform to IRCC. Afterwards my biometrics section displayed "We have not received your fingerprints. Check your biometrics request message below for details".

Can anyone ascertain what stage or what is happening to my application? It seems apart from medicals passed, no further progress has been made. IRCC requesting for proof of biometrics, does it signal that I have passed eligibility or security? Please someone help......
