Literature / Re: Achebe's Things Fall Apart Named One Of 50 Most Influential Books by nsiadi: 10:51pm On May 21, 2012
Nobody is begging anybody to like Achebe
However, haters can send their queries to the group who drew-up the list
Many things we dont appreciate is that only a section of the country will buy into Awo if he were shares
He caused deaths of many & was swayed by the love of money to dance naked in the market
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Alex Ferguson & Ryan Giggs Named Best Manager & Player In EPL History by nsiadi: 12:35am On May 18, 2012
its wrong to believe that tevez was flushed out of Man U
We have all seen the type of character tevez has
Some 1 who refused to play, when asked to, in a CL must be a terrible person
Thanks to hunger & Maradona who whipped him back to Manccini
Sir Alex is a fada. He takes care of his boys v well
Politics / Re: Pres. Jonathan Sued Over Move To Reinstate Justice Salami by nsiadi: 11:51pm On May 17, 2012
We continue to see mix-ups in all these
Are the members of the NJC not lawyers?
Are they not learned?
Were they under duress when they recommended the sack?
What new revelations have made them to have a change of mind?
There must be unseen hands trying to rock the boat
The only unfortunate thing is that some egg heads will try to heap blames on the executives
People have just got up from slumber to fight for their own. Let them dig it out there
All concerned have the ingredients.

Politics / Re: Soludo Takes Lawmakers To School On Capital Markets by nsiadi: 11:08pm On May 17, 2012
Quota system jettisoned Soludo, Okereke-Onyiuke, Ernest Ndukwe 4rm d syetem
Every system has a trick---& these people knew all the tricks
One of these is NEVER BLOW EVERY PROBLEM OPEN
I dont encourage graft but we dont manage things stupidly
b4, d Capital market was booming. CBN too was green. Banks like Oceanic, Intercontinental were doing well
Now, after quota played out are we any better off?
Think of quantum of money pumped in to save the banks!---Any positive change?
The money changing malams are back! Naira continues to slide
If u discover dismeanour you handle that in a mature way without killing the milk cow
Its even more stupid to come asking y the cow is emaciating after injecting it with lethal doses
Politics / Re: President Jonathan Unlikely To Risk Oil Graft Crackdown-reuters. by nsiadi: 7:08pm On May 17, 2012
God has reason for everything. Emergence of GEJ isnt for nothing
In spite of every obstacle, Thick opposition etc God`s will must be accomplished
We will all be best for it. Who could believe that BENIN ORE Road could be fixed?
Who believed that ABUJA LOKOJA road construction could be fast tracked?
Who believed trains could resume running in Nigeria.
Who believed APGA could rule in Imo state
Who believed that our power problem could be narrowed to gas supply?
There are changes but those losing out arent happy things are working without their inputs
They feel humiliated & are throwing wedges
Poser!!! How has our education sector fared? Is GEJ responsible for all the rots? Who has been in charge of education committee in lower chamber?
I know I hv rattled some people & I expect their missiles. Y cant somebody from SS rule Nigeria? Y pull him Lawanly? Y Y.
Who was minister of petroleum during OBJs rule. Y didnt heavens fall bc he pocketed d portfolio?
How long did Rilwanu preside as minister of petroleum? Y was Rilwanu not invited by Farouk during d Oil subsidy probe?
We all know Nigerians are bad. We wish GEJ has stronger dentition to take things head on

Politics / Re: The Dog & The Baboon Will Be Soaked In Blood - Buhari by nsiadi: 8:45pm On May 15, 2012
Utterances that can be misconstrued shd be damned. The half baked will take such for "Be ready to cause mayhem again"
Coming from some 1 who has been gunning to rule is v unfortunate
No wonder this guy has never won an election. Whoever thinks buhari can win any election must be naive
He is not an election material. He is not. He butchered Bartholomew Owoh. Idiagbon was a better option
Politics / Re: Yekini Was Killed- Segun Odegbami by nsiadi: 10:58pm On May 13, 2012
Some deaths in Nigeria are avoidable. Anybody who survives here can survive anywhere else
Its really a pity we are in this mess. Poverty & illiteracy are the pivot of all these.
Unfortunately we must be ready to live with this till we get our priorities right.
No yoruba man wants to believe their is no Magun , Ogun & other super forces. Its really a pity
Politics / Re: Yorubas & Ogbomoso Community Disowns Kano Boko Haram Leader Suleiman Mohammed by nsiadi: 10:13pm On May 13, 2012
Oh wicked world! No money no friends. No money no "relations"
Please note that the fellow doesnt belong to any Yoruba meeting doesnt make him less a yoruba
Its unlikely that a bad fellow will go about joining Kparakpo meetings
Names cant even make a difference. Not these days when we try to modernis every thing
I came to know that Tai Solarin is same as Taiye Solarin.
Its naive to expect security operatives to respond by divulging the mans further details
Politics / Re: Ojukwu Would Have Ruled Nigeria —Gowon by nsiadi: 11:13pm On May 09, 2012
its difficult to say if illiteracy that prevented gowon from imbibing d spirit of Aburi has left him. Its not enuf for him to shed crocodile tears. He shd openly confess his sins or die with those sins. I hope the misfit suffers more b4 joining his ancestors
Politics / Re: What Has Jonathan's Administration Achieved In One Year? by nsiadi: 8:27pm On May 09, 2012
If u are confronted wt the question-"How do u eat an elephant?" How would you respond?
I know most of our friends are v crafty & will probably say they have no idea since they dont eat elephant
C d correct answer--u take one bite & a time. GEJ has been doing just that. But most ppl will prefer to call him names
Genesis is that we found ourselves in a messy situation b4 he came in--true in all sections
Unfortunately we are impatient. We expect a miracle like manner provided the Israelites. Jona cant give manner .
He is preparing the way to make things start working again in Nigeria
Lets take a few points:::

(1) FUEL-Most of us have 4gotten fuel queues. The credit goes to GEJ. Who wasnt annoyed by nauseating fuel lines of those days?
GEJ blew the whistle concerning monies being siphoned via fuel subsidy. Credits shd go to him for his forthright on this
He is also allowing direct access to the books. During OBJ time the Egba Chief pocketed the ministry of Petroleum. His admin
allowed an avowed opposition (Ribadu) to head 1 of the task forces. This is a rare case
(2) INFRASTRUCTURE- A lot is being done. Benin Ore Road, Abuja Okene Road is being fast tracked, Major Airports are wearing new
looks, Power Sector`s challenges are being tackled headlong. Active work is taking place to add the rot in that sector. The
seeming intractable nature was caused by previous regimes who thought they were making progress when the had bad feasibilities. how can you have gas Turbines wt out gas line? GEJ is addressing these challenges now.

The greatest obstacles that slow down these changes are people who feel they have been dislodged from their comfort zones.
And these are v wealthy ppl who pull strings. They try every trick to pay back by sabotaging all efforts. But, in spite of all these he is forging ahead. As human beings we prefer to see the cup as half empty & not half full.
Time will tell who is on the correct track

Health / Re: Lagos Sacks Striking Doctors by nsiadi: 12:04am On May 08, 2012
I wish this drags to the court
I wish Fashola wins so it becomes a bench mark for other states
Its not that I dont like Doctors. Rather its because these doctors dont like us
Y must they always 4get their calling---to save lives
Y must they always prefer money above all other considerations?
Most ppl use strikes as a weapon to fight govt in power
Its really bad that doctors can succumb so cheaply
Let their feathers be ruffled. Let their ego be bruised
Things are getting better in Lagos. Bad government could have sent killers after their headship
Kidnappers could have gone after some of them. They could have resigned on their own----SINCE
Stupid guild. Callous lot. Money mongers. Lets c how they can fit into the society. Tin gods. Giants wt clay feet.
Turn them to me & I will deal wt them. Hunger will deal with them. No futher access to refer patients to their clinics

Politics / Re: Subsidy Probe Lacks Credibility – Alhaji Ali Gullack by nsiadi: 7:37am On May 04, 2012
@ Kobojunkie

Please indicate where I implied that the house should have judged any 1
Also explain y you think that oil marketers are so insignificant that they shd not be invited during such probe
Mind you---the grouse is y verbal invitation was made initially which they, of course ignored bc they know they are macro stake holders
Sister you shd explain y you believe Rilwanu shd be left. Any special reason ?
Politics / Re: Subsidy Probe Lacks Credibility – Alhaji Ali Gullack by nsiadi: 6:44am On May 04, 2012
@ Kobojunkie
Seems u are not aware that house of reps has eventually invited the "recalcitrant" oil companies.
Seems you are not aware that any thing worth doing is worth doing well.
A thorough job isnt necessarily a lopsided job. It should be all encompassing.
Even if your own person is concerned say so. Dont try to exclude any 1. Equity demands just that.
Doing otherwise will subject one to ridicule.
Politics / Re: Subsidy Probe Lacks Credibility – Alhaji Ali Gullack by nsiadi: 11:33pm On May 03, 2012
Honestly I am not comfortable with the degree of professionalism put in by our law makers. No doubt they are improving but a lot more is expected from them. How can a committee do a job with so much haphazardness! I know there are some lawyers among them but I am surprised they allow so many loopholes.
For instance y didnt they formally invite all oil companies to make input same period. Y go back to their vomit by calling them when they threatened going to court. y issue verbal invitations when they knew of the limitations of that system? Y didnt it occur to them that we have smart guys around who will beam searchlights on their work?
Y didnt they invite Rilwanu & whoever was & all those involved during the period under scrutiny? They , for sure, will find it tough to extricate themselves from bias accusations. Seems they shut themselves down. They had little hind sight or they ignored it
Politics / Re: Open Letter To Alhaji Aliko Dangote On Northern Nigeria And Boko Haram by nsiadi: 1:32pm On Apr 29, 2012
Dangote is a business man
He is not obliged to locate any industry in his village
There are very well known factors to be considered b4 locating an industry
However he can positively decide to help his people by citing some industries nearer home
And citing industries nearer home is not the only way to help his people
I believe he has been helping---that was why he was given honorary doctorate degree by BUK
We must not forget that the duty of enhancing living conditions is the prerogative of the government
But 1st & foremost those concerned must show the will power to move forward. Self liberation is the best
Unfortunately the Northerners are lacking in this--why must they be burning universities? Just one out of many questions
Politics / Re: Diezani Alison-Madueke Indicted Over N310billion Illegal Subsidy Payment by nsiadi: 4:45pm On Apr 23, 2012
Seems haters are back to their trenches. Better we see how "stake holders" nd , especially people who seem to be indicted, react to the House findings. Fabricating further allegations against people will do no good. Besides we are still expecting Senates reactions. There is strong suspicion that original haters are still awake
Politics / Re: The North That Southerners Don’t Know by nsiadi: 6:22pm On Apr 17, 2012
A good write-up. Most people have a mind set about this issue.
No doubt there are exceptions in every thing.
The unfortunate thing is that the Northerners have done little to change this mind set
Check the enrollment into Nigerian schools. Check JAMB stats
Even in the North check how many natives do science. Compare with those in Arabic/Islamic Studies
The worst Ambassador image of the North is wasting blood @ least provocation. Boko capped it

They need rebrandingggggggggggggggggg

Politics / Re: Apagun Olumide Was Strangled To Death, Reveals Autopsy by nsiadi: 12:37am On Mar 21, 2012
@ Kobojunkie

I like d sprite in u. Rightly or wrongly u hv kept to ur trigger. Reminds me of resilience of Ngozi & Diezani during the subsidy saga
But not many psychologists ( clinical psychologists ) will buy into ur explanations. Suicide cases end abruptly. There are obvious reasons for this.
Not every body is steel hearted. No Lilly hearted commits suicide. Life is real sweet to the extent that even the steel hearteds will do u-turn when
stared in the face with death. Drowning is a very uncommon means of ending ones life simply because it provides a second thoughts. Suicide by drowning,
as we are discussing, is one of the best means of covering up murder cases.
Not all Nigerians are daft. Autopsy can be arranged promptly. Some families in Nigeria are not bedeviled with so called Nigerian factor
Its a pity we are not there yet. Thats why cracking crimes seems is uphill task. For instance I am sure most of the evidence have been erased---finger prints. Tracks have been covered. We are nowhere yet in forensics. DNA?
But crack homicide seals can make inroad
Politics / Re: I Watch Nigeria's Debt Profile Like A Hawk - Okonjo Iweala by nsiadi: 1:29am On Mar 07, 2012
Some of our semi illiterates think that Ngozi is a magician
Since they have not seen her turn Amajirees to some thing better she has failed
Since they have not seen her sprout the type of mansions @ Onitsha up North she is failing
They dont know that its the hand that bend smoked fish. Bent fish dont live in rivers

Every structure needs a solid foundation.
Since the Barkin Zuwos, the Balarabes & co failed to start these foundations she is just starting from there
Folks, b4 you can start seeing tangible inputs you must allow her reach the lintel level
Latent heat is usually hidden while serious work is being done.

As for those whose stock in trade is to abuse----sorry for you. Better swallow your pride & finish your studies
Half baked education is worse than no education. People who thought you are read are the same people you mislead via silly argument

This Festus self

If we are not careful , one day, they will grant amnesty to Boko Haramites

Every body was dazzled by encomiums being poured on Ikemba
Even OBJ had to shift his birth day so he could escape the drowning dominance of Ojukwu`s remains
People saw what they didnt expect
We salute your courage, dear Ikemba, even @ death
From your vantage post continue to hunt them---no exception
You started well with Aluko, the double dealer
We have not heard from Gowon. He has suddenly become dumb
Travel / Re: Nigeria Deports 28 South Africans As Row Deepens by nsiadi: 5:19pm On Mar 06, 2012
Do we hv good diplomats in this country?
How many Nigerians were deported & how many South Africans were asked to go back?
Is that the law of reprocity Dabiri is preaching abt?
Is there no hot line bw Abuja & Sa?
What did our embassy do to ameliorate the situation b4 getting to where we are now?

Those calling for axing MTN & DSTV are not serious
Do they know how many Nigerians are doing biz there?
Who will be hurt the more if the imbroglio persists?

More questions:
Must we cut corners?
Why cant we go for genuine yellow fever inoculation?
Which govt agency was responsible for this lapse?
If we dont wake up we will remain delinquent
& we will continue to look for light

They will even increase in number

Politics / Re: Ikemba Ojukwu Vs M.K.O Abiola: Who Is More Popular In Nigeria? by nsiadi: 11:29am On Mar 06, 2012
Ojukwu can be likened to Blackberry in terms of value
Compare Ojukwu to Roosevelt in terms of being a states man
He had a great vision---& went straight for it

As for Abiola---Fela aptly described him in ITT
Abiola is some one who couldnt claim his mandate
He had many options but bungled them all
