Roboto11: That's not alot frankly. I have at least half of that sitting in a NAS in my room closet. |

Shalommy: Statements made with no supporting evidence. If you received five to ten thousand Naira in your account this afternoon would that change your mind ? |

It is pure deception that the OP, in their exaggerated write up, intentionally left out the actually price of the Oraimo watch. Otherwise, very few people would even be reading this thread. Your Oraimo watch costs 30k at best 40k (on Jumia an easy search for "oriamo watch 2 pro" yields more than enough shameless information) and you want to compare that to an Apple Watch Series 7 ? Very pitiful. If you are looking for subtle deception it even starts in the very phrased name of this thread "Battle of the Titans" - it seems the OP has no idea of the real definition of the word 'Titans' otherwise you wouldn't be comparing a 30k+ watch (Oraimo) with another that's 10x in price (Apple Watch Series 7), that is clearly an insult and as such even calls into question the accuracy of any other write ups put out by this OP. The Mods should never have published this thread to the front page, even if they were bribed by an Oraimo rep, as this OP's writeup contains inaccurate information and is very misleading to the Nairaland public. 4 Likes |

Repeating this here in 2022, as has been stated on other threads regarding this Emilydates website in the past. Hopefully it will save legit NL members from the site's deception. More than 85% of the female profiles on that website are FAKE and created by crooked scammers. The site's support/admin team is well aware of this problem yet, for whatever reasons, they refuse to take proactive actions to cub this site's rampant problem and I frankly believe even those support/admins are part of the scammers. A whole thread could be made here on NL with multiple evidences to reinforce these points above, but I will spare you the boring details - the summary is if you are reading this and you love yourself; do yourself a big favor and avoid the Emilydates website entirely. 1 Like |

Stating this in 2022 to save legit Nairaland members from getting duped. More than 85% of the female profiles on Emilydates are fake and created by Scammers, some using the different variations of the same lady's picture in fake profiles - with even their support/admin team refusing to take proactive actions to cub the site's rampant problem. If you love yourself do not waste your time there and avoid the website entirely. |

pretteemee: What is the current (financial) valuation amount of your agribusiness ? If you'd rather not share it publicly a DM would be fine. |

stanley000: I doubt that's the Nairalander. username 'abudu200' doesn't exist and username 'abudu2000' (https://www.nairaland.com/abudu2000/posts) doesn't have anything on that subject discussed on any of his posts or topics in March. |

Pattypatt: If you do not have experience and skills why not take free MOOCs online to upskill yourself; rather than continuing to spam the forum threads (and violate forum rules in the process) just to get your point across. You are expecting someone to come and just take you to the 'promise land' without you, yourself, repositioning your abilities. The former very unlikely will happen, and you'd just get scammed. |

OP, with no response from you on the thread for over a week, despite you checking Nairaland multiple times during that time, it seems you never anticipated anyone would want to help you regarding your business idea. Several people here had suggested you contact them to discuss potential funding but you've decided not to; which.. is fine. But, it gives the impression that you just created the thread without expected any meaningful response, which is rather sad. obillyj: 1 Like |

the thing is, the OP hasn't even bothered returning to this thread nor replied any of the recent comments thus far. so, it seems apparent that she's are no longer interested in the funding. SendAbroad: |

OP, since you haven't PM'ed me I'll assume you don't really need the funding anymore. obillyj: |

OP, I don't think all of you ideas require half a million. PM me if you still want to discuss funding. obillyj: |

Myopic foresight, Poor Planning (and most likely shuddy Execution inclusive) is what you get when you rush everything - signing up to Nairaland to advertise an event A DAY to it; thinking people don't have other important things their doing that day. FYI, it is *not* all the leading game developers in the (Nigerian) region that are coming. Rather, only those *you*, Mr. OP and your crew, have contacted and further invited to your 'get-together'. I am very curious as to what these lineup of people have to say. Because I am very certain that there are hardly any (if any, very few) developers in this country that are treating Games the way they really should. - Beyond all that entertainment fluff that most people take the medium to be. Many of the topics on that conference list, on your site, are uncreative, bland, and reflect nothing that would be of key interest to those even trying to get into the space in Nigeria, other than what is already widely available on line. I sincerely wonder if the organizers of this 'expo' really did their homework at all; or just decided to do 'copy and paste'. All in all, a near-certain disappointment, IMO. I'm just curious to see how this cacaphony of ideas you call a 'gaming expo' will play out. |

@OP, you are obviously a scammer looking for people to prey on. Falsifying information in order to get victims. I pity you. There is no such stupid email address as "info.nigeriaministryofeducation@secretary.net". It seems by the time you get reported to a law enforcement agency, and they trace you down to that useless computer that your using, maybe then you would think straight. |

interesting. earning money playing crappy kuluya games. how unfortunate. |

there is absolutely nothing 'fun' about this game that is a mere clone. very flat Game Design. |

The games feel like your trying to give tech Demos of a 2D game framework your using or something less, Needless to say, you guys really need to step-up the quality of your games seriously. |

Just tried your 'Aboki game'. I don't intend to do any comprehensive reviews on any of your games yet. On first look of the Aboki game, i think you guys need to make more refinement of your games. As you can see from the screenshot - why the heck are the electricity pole wires extending off the main viewport ?? The audio isn't catchy at all - sounds like a continuous loop of a sound that doesn't really fit well with the game. I really think you guys need to do more work on this game. Using the community to playtest your games might seem okay to you, but it won't sit well with avid gamers if the quality of the game is in question. Haven't said anything about the game mechanics itself (as i don't intend doing a review or the sort). The games overall feel abit 'too' simple in design - like something developers(one for game-art and the other for game-coding) did over a weekend or probably some neighbourhood game-jam event. And so, I'm curious to know if your company has built any other games besides the ones currently on the Maliyo site ?

do you guys have a gaming roadmap for your company ? |

Couldn't make the CCHub Event today unfortunately, even though i Did register on Eventbrite. Hm, How sad. First thought that comes to my mind when i look at your company logo is "a Zynga for Nigeria"; in essence you guys trying to emulate the success of Zynga in the casual/social online space but with an African type of feel and backstory. It's good but you guys should be abit careful using that philosophy. The games don't feel to me so original, more like very typical casual game design mechanics slapped together with interesting (though stereotypic) 'africanized' character designs. Good, but i believe you guys can do better. I'm aware of the Teams pedigree with regards to social game development. Well, From the overall feel of your games it seems you guys are really just trying to 'test waters' to see if your kind of games will be appealing ( i guess that's why it's in "Beta" ). It's clearly reflected in your approach to the game design. About "Class Fight", haven't played it too extensively yet, but you might wanna add other kinds of voice-over for when the characters get hit, instead of the same single repeated voice-over (it gets kinda annoying after a few play sessions). |

@gameaddict, there are several games in the indie space that weren't made by "experts" as you put it. for instance, take a look at this link: http://www.tigsource.com/2012/01/12/top-indie-games-of-2011-according-to-the-tigsource-forums/ Alot of those games, some don't have fancy stuff - that most people would term were made by 'experts' - yet the games are really fun to play and have a great formula of mechanics and gameplay. my arguement with the quote that 'Nigerians can do better', is based on that fact that there are hundreds , heck, even thousands of even neater ideas (than those in that link) floating around in Nigeria. Nigeria itself is big enough on it's own to even be a small continent sef. The issue is not the ideas themselves per se, but rather actually their execution. as well as, in addition, what you said about enjoying what one does. that's important as well. -make games that are 'fun' first before worrying about all the other things (e.g graphics, money, and what not). |
