Yoruba people are the most tribalistic set of people in Nigeria, I knew what I faced growing up with Yoruba adults just because my Yoruba mum married my dad 'Delta ibo'.

Tinubu might do well as a president but that doesn't mean Yoruba people will stop being tribalistic... they have the worst set of mouth when it comes to insults
.

Point of correction; The most tribalistic and hateful tribe in Nigeria is Igbo. Please correct your mistake.

you are so dumb. Your IQ is very low. Deborah was killed in the name of religion. The woman and her kids were killed because of their tribe.

I hope you will not come here calling northerners all sort of names when the same thing happens to your brothers living in the north ( get killed because of their tribe).

And Christians disguising as ipob to kill Muslims is not condemnable, koh?

Alaye, will you just STFU..I am a Muslim & I say Deborah's killing is absolutely wrong..CAN has every right to protest and I pray that Allah see it through that her killers are convicted and killed by the justice system..... Nonsense

If truly a Muslim woman & her kids were killed by the Christians, the Muslims shouldn't have triggered it First by killing Deborah...SHIKENA!!!

Hypocrisy lies in the heart no matter the tribe or religion...

Call me whatever name you like, but the truth remain.
If you say IPOB are killing for their shrine, are they not Christians. Why are you not associating with Christianity as you do to Fulani militia when they commit the same crime?
You people are always quick to associate Fulani with islam, but you never for once associate ipob with Christianity.
Is this not hypocrisy?

Don't tell me you are not semi-mumu! Killings in the guise of any reason is condemned, it is inhuman and those people behind it will be exposed and send packing to meet Ikonso. However, you are comparing two different things together. Did the people who killed in Anambra killed in the name of Jesus? They did not kill in the name of religion, so it is not the duty of CAN to talk, you can channel your griviance to state governor or other political state men leaders.

We have lots of killings and lawless, adding religion to it will make it worse. Deborah is not a Muslim being govern under Sharia law who understands what your blasphemy should be, so she shouldn't be killed for what you called blasphemy. Christians have their own blasphemy that Muslims violate on daily basis, but christians do forgive. It is not Muslims that will dictate to Christians what they see has blasphemy vice versa.

So, Muslim killings for blasphemy should be law that guide only Muslims and not non-muslim because non-muslim don't see Muhammed as perfect example for humanity to follow to heaven because of his numerous amoral behaviours. Deborah killing is because of religion involvement, those that killed her shouted alha Akbar and said they killed for Mohammed because it is what Quran said, but that of Anambra is pure criminality, they never killed by shouting Jesus or cite refrence from Bible to kill.

IpoB/ESN usually kill in the name of their juju, shrines because that is where they get inspiration and not from Jesus. You can even see them stopping Christian Crusade from holding. However, these criminals should be unveiled by security agents and send them to meet Ikonso for killing innocent people and children. You can't expect CAN to respond to what doesn't concern them because it has no religion colouration except each of them wants to talk as individual
Crime / Re: Christianity And Its Hypocrisy by nura15(m): 2:17pm On May 24, 2022
I'm twisting any fact, Mr man.
This has been the norm in this country. Whenever Christians commit murder, they just hide the name if Christianity and link the crime to one particular criminal group. But when the same thing happens in the north, Christians do not even mind to verify they just link it to islam and start campaigning so as to draw the attention of international community there by giving impression that it's only Muslims committing heinous crimes in Nigeria.
For instance, when Muslims travellers were killed in Jos by Christians for no reason nobody came to call the killers as Christians rather they were called as criminals, hence hiding the name of Christianity.

Some days ago Deborah Samuel was lynched and burnt in Sokoto for blasphemy. Ever since that incident, internet has been on fire calling for justice for Deborah. CAN and its members staged a Nationwide protest for the same reason.
In Anambra two days ago, a Muslim woman in person of Fatima and innocent kids were killed by christians for no reason. However, as usual no body is saying anything about it. May be the reason is because she is a Muslim.
I have come to understand that may be in this country only Christians regarded as first class citizens while Muslims are second class.

Why some people choose to turn themselves blind to truth confuses me a lot.
Whenever incidents like this happen, people talk about freedom of expression.
My simple question is this; Does freedom of speech permit one to insult someone or his religion?

What do you think would happen to somebody who insults Nnamdi KANU or Odudua in Abia and Ogun respectively?
The earlier we respect each other's religion, the better for all of us.

Their plan is to christianize Nigeria, which never happens. God forbid a bigot pastor to rule this coun

That's exactly what they are planning to do forgetting thatNigeria is secular state. Not only that, Muslims are the majority.
The earlier Christians learn to start minding their business and respecting other religions, the better for all of us.
Who is more barbaric between those that burn people for stealing a loaf of bread, doing skull mining and killing rampantly for rituals and those that kill to defend their religion.
What do think will happen to a northerner when he goes to Abia and start insulting Nnamdi KANU? Or a person who goes to Ogun and start abusing ododua?

Nigeria is for all of us. Nobody has a monopoly of violence. We have been tolerating you guys in spite of your intolerance and narraw mindedness.
We northerners are most accommodating set of people in Nigeria. We have hundred of thousands of Igbo and yorubas doing their businesses without any form of intimidation, because we believe in one Nigeria. However, whenever we travel to South particularly Igbo side, to even park our car, we will have to pay. A northerner has no right or whatsoever to build house in Igbo land. But look at how many Igbo become so rich in the north due to our accommodating nature and hospitality. It seems you guys are taking us for granted. So, let me remind you that; you are mistaking our hospitality for cowardice.
SHEGE KA FASA! IF YOU LIKE DO YOUR WORSE!! DO ANYHOW AND SEE ANYHOW!!!

I will make sure I share this to both what's up and Facebook groups so as our people to know your true color.
Did you bother to condemn the killing of northerners in the southeast?
What did you say when Muslims travellers were killed in Jos?
Instead of you to call your stupid Christians to order to start respecting the religion of their host, you end of condemning the action carried out leaving the one who caused the incident to go Scott free.
Mr. mere commissioner, we Muslim northerners already know the reason why you're contesting for presidency and will never vote for you comes 2023. Mr. JUDAS .

Hypocrisy of the highest order.
In as much as I totally condemn the action of those who took laws in their hands, but the government has never been just in its dealings with northern Muslims.
What action did Buhari take when Muslims travellers were intercepted and gruesomely killed in Jos?
Some hypocrites here on nairaland were even rejoicing the killing. Even asking stupid questions like how could a Fulani Muslim be an indigene of Ondo state?
The same government did nothing when Muslims business men were killed for no reason in the southeast, and the same nairaland hypocrites also supported the killing.
I have now come to understand that; whenever you see social media shouting and making references to constitution, then bear it in your mind that it's a Christian or Christianity that being affected. However, when it's Muslims or Islam, you won't even see anybody saying anything.
Hypocrisy is when you feel alright when someone or his religion is harmed, but feel pained when you're the victim of the same crime.
WHY ON THE EARTH CAN'T CHRISTIANS PRACTICE THEIR RELIGION AND STOP INSULTING ISLAM? HAVE EVER SEEN OR HEARD MUSLIM INSULTING JESUS ? INFACT, IT'S PUNISHABLE BY DEATH TO INSULT JESUS ( PROPHET ISAH ) IN ISLAM. PLEASE LET'S RESPECT EACH OTHER'S RELIGION AND LIVE IN HARMONY.
I wish to live to see the day the Hausas will rise up and take their land back from the invaders and killer fulanis. The Fulanis are very few but because the Hausas are carefree and disunited, they have allowed the Fulani to mess up their land and kill their people daily. All Hausa chiefs have been displaced and top political posts taken by the Fulanis. Now they have seen the consequences of their mistake, they must unite and save their people from annihilation. With the spate their people are being killed, they may be no indigenous Hausa tribe in the next 50 years. Don't you guys ( Igbo) have anything to do apart from igniting tribal war and hatred in Nigeria? You have succeeded in breaking a long term cordial relationship between northerners and Yorubas, and you are now trying to cause another hostility between Hausa and Fulani. You're indeed the Israelites of Nigeria. I now fully agree by the saying that " like father like son". I can now confidently conclude that; EVEN A DVIL FEARS IGBO PEOPLE.

We know who you're. You're just an impersonator saddled with a duty to tarnish the image of Islam. However, no matter you try you cannot do any harm to islam, because even your ancestors who lived thousand of years ago couldn't do any harm to talk less of you who is jobless. So, go and tell your sponsors that Islam is truly the only true religion via which one can make heaven, therefore, they can do nothing to Islam.

Islam for Muslims / Re: Insulting The Prophet: Freedom Of Expression Is Freedom FROM Insult, NOT To! by nura15(m): 1:35pm On Oct 30, 2020
Each faith community feels a deep-rooted emotional attachment to the symbols and personalities it reveres. Muslims are no different.

The value system of Islam is underpinned by respect and reverence – reverence for the Almighty, for all the Messengers of the Almighty – including the Prophets Abraham, Noah, Moses, Jesus and Muhammad (peace be upon them all), the angels, the holy scriptures, the holy cities, religious symbols and places of worship, and respect for elders, teachers, leaders, religious scholars, parents, the elderly etc.

Depicting images of the Prophet (peace be upon him) is strictly forbidden in Islam. The rationale for the prohibition, inter alia, of depicting the Prophet (peace be upon him) is that he was too sublime to be truly portrayed. Furthermore, attempts at portraying him could result in his image being distorted. There are therefore no records of any authentic image or portrait of him anywhere in the world, from any period of Islamic history, which is a significant point of note.

Any attempt to depict the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) in illustration is an attempt to depict the sacrosanct, which is not allowed. The nature of cartoons is to satirise and trivialise. This is clearly not acceptable in the case of a personality who is held in the highest esteem by almost 2 billion people globally.

Irrespective of what the motive is for the repeated publishing and displaying of these blasphemous cartoons – whether for cheap publicity, political gains, deliberate provocation, or due to sheer ignorance – it is grossly offensive and highly insensitive and will always be rejected by all people of morality with the contempt it deserves!

Muslims accept the principle of constructive freedom of expression, but not the freedom to wantonly insult, which is sometimes deviously and deceptively masqueraded as freedom of expression. True freedom of expression is freedom FROM insult, not freedom TO insult! Freedom to insult has ultimately resulted in hatred, bigotry and even destruction. Humour that is disrespectful, insensitive and offensive, is not humour, but is in fact hubris.

But when Muslims object, the stock response is that they do not appreciate freedom of expression. The media and others view this as an infringement of the right of freedom of speech. However, one aspect that is often overlooked is that no right is absolute; there are inherent limitations. Every right is counterbalanced against other rights. Every right has to be exercised with utmost responsibility.
The blatant hypocrisy of certain leaders in the application of freedom of speech is glaringly visible for the world to see! Whilst they harp on the promotion of freedom of speech, they are intolerant of any criticism of themselves or things that are dear to them. So much for freedom of speech!

Muslim leaders and masses would be justifiably outraged and enraged by this act of profanity. This could even precipitate protests and boycotts. The worldwide anger and outpouring of objections has made it amply clear that Muslims will never accept disrespect to the Prophet (peace be upon him) or whatever else is deemed sacred to them. Despite this open provocation, Muslims are urged to follow the noble example of the Holy Prophet (Peace be upon Him) in the kind, tolerant and forgiving manner he dealt with his enemies and continued to invite them to the Path of Guidance.

I have never even heard of a repulsive liar like you.what happened in Lagos was an unfortunate incident caused by misguided elements that every sensible Nigerian irrespective of religion or tribe should feel bad about. For your information,we northerners are guided by our religion that refrains us from rejoicing when our fellow human is adversely affected by something bad. Therefore, northerners are not rejoicing and will never rejoice about what happened in Lagos. Many Hausa's were killed and were robbed of their properties nevertheless we in the north didn't harm any southerner. We allow southerners to do their business without any form of maltreatment or harassment unlike you that make your place like a hell to the northerners. Please, whatever your aim might be stop spreading rumors because I'm sure you will gain nothing from rather than causing another trouble.
