I don't even know why you guys are entertaining this person.

Someone came to a foreign forum, decided to be a parasite and is talking about people going to foreign countries and being parasites....The irony.

Stop engaging and hopefully they will go back to being a silent observer.

KLEINBASS:

Ireland just cancelled visa free for South Africa because of Nigerians findings a loophole into our laws to get to Europe. Guys just stay home and stop being parasites. The fact that is difficult to get visa in Nigeria it shows the world is tired of you guys. Now want to abuse the South African path which hurts our reputation that we are a gateway for Nigerians.

Good day,

I entered my old passport number when I paid for my visa fee application on GTBANK. Please how can I fix this problem. The cgi Lagos office are not picking my calls.

Try reach out to them and see if they can update it for you.

But, from personal experience, this shouldn't be a problem. I got my new passport 3 days before my interview that year (received passport on Friday and interview was on Monday). Presented both during the interview.

Take both passports with you for your interview.

NB, the old passport number is also on the data page of your new passport.

Not sure I still remember the number. It's been over a year since this happened.

Quick search on google gave the details below. You can try though.

Email: support-nigeria@ustraveldocs.com
Telephone: +234-0201-227-8955

Bbibbi:
Please can you post the customer care number I can call? Thanks
Travel / Re: USA Visit Visa Part 4 by nuttycaptain: 8:38am On Mar 03
I don't think this is much of an issue. If you received a mail from them stating that your appointment has been rescheduled, just show up for the appointment on the new date with the original MRV payment receipt. You can try calling the customer care office to confirm your new appointment date

Bbibbi:
Please help, I received mail too that my appointment was rescheduled, but my MRV payment receipt was not on the new appointment date, none was written. Please what do I do? I made payment in 2022 and I got 2024 interview date
Travel / Re: USA Visit Visa Part 4 by nuttycaptain: 4:09pm On Mar 02
I didn't need to. I had resigned myself to my fate and was going to wait and go for the appointment ( I was trying to reschedule to an earlier date). Fortunately for me, the embassy was randomly rescheduling peoples' appointments and mine was rescheduled to an earlier date. An email was sent to that effect. I remember several people commented on here about the same being done to their appointments.

jokepearl:

Thanks I will call. But did you do this, were you able to reschedule after the day?
Travel / Re: USA Visit Visa Part 4 by nuttycaptain: 9:10am On Mar 02
I don't think you can cancel. I had the same issue a while back and when I called to try and reschedule or cancel, I was told I can't. They said what I can do is wait for the appointment date, do not show up and once the appointment has elapsed, you should be able to reschedule immediately after (from the next day). I believe the option for rescheduling will come up on your profile.

But you should call and confirm this information again. Things could have changed.

jokepearl:
Anyone know how I can cancel my IW appointment for my mum? I don't see the option when log.

Unfortunately something came up and she has to be in UK in July so got to cancel for another time.

Please don't let anyone confuse you. It is not compulsory and you also do not have to.
As at when you applied, you had Passport A. Before interview, you obtained Passport B.
Go for your interview with both A & B. Stick with your guts. 4+5=9, so is 8+1 and 3+6 and 2+7

Just free. Don't even engage him. Its his way or the high way, but things in life aren't structured that way

I agree with the posters on this one. Speaking from experience.
2 years ago, I got a new passport the Friday before the Monday of my interview. Didn't know I could actually update the DS160 ( I'm not sure I even knew how then). Went to the embassy with both the old passport and the new one. Presented the old one (didn't have 3 consecutive blank pages) and during the interview the VO asked if I had a new passport, which I promptly presented. Good thing is the old passport number is annotated on the data page of the new passport.

Thanks for your response. I appreciate it

ShootingStar92:

You can only be redirected to the TLS contact from the Gov.uk website after you have submitted and paid for your visa application - no other way.
In terms of appointment availability, the last I checked Abuja didn’t have any availability but VI does, PH and Enugu (both new premium centres) do.

Good morning everyone,

I'm trying to apply for a visitor visa to the UK. I would like to know what the process of booking an appointment is like with TLS. Any idea what the earliest appointment dates are?
Travel / Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by nuttycaptain: 7:07pm On Aug 13, 2023
Timeline for me,

Appointment was 2nd of August, 8am
3 e-mails on same day (02.08.2023) acknowledging receipt of application, sending of application to embassy and receipt of application by embassy.
2 e-mails on 11.08.2023 acknowledging receipt of my processed passport by VFS and notification of dispatch of my passport to UPS.

I won't know if visa was approved or not until I receive my passport, hopefully within the next couple of days.

I'll update with more information when I have my passport in hand

Please if you were issued a visa recently, please can you post your visa alerts with your time lines and if possible documents submitted to encourage those waiting .Thank you
Travel / Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by nuttycaptain: 6:58pm On Aug 13, 2023
I had my appointment on 2nd (Wednesday last week). I paid a total of N 81875 inclusive of courier fees for delivery within Lagos.

puffmama:
I was wondering how the 80k came about . I paid 34,393.14 for vfs service charges to get appointment and 68010 for visa fees . I didn't pay any for courier charges because of where I stay.
They charge for courier based on location .

Hello , good day
Please this 80k was it visa fee or what was it for ?
I have my own appointment next week too ,
Please I would like to know .
And also, exactly how much you paid for visa fee .

Can someone please confirm that payment for the schenghen visa is made at VFS on the appointment date and not prior...?

Maybe you should read the post again..not sure where you got 5 years from...

As pointed out by others, your criticism can be better constructed

MatrixReloaded:

Your reply doesn't show you are a potential visitor to u.s.a.
Pointing the fact you are living in a country where your residency is mere education. Your Ties is limited and your application was rejected for that
Why did you choose Lithuania?
After my graduation from xyz University with bsc in xyz, I research through the curriculum offered by xyz uni in Lithuania and is among the modules I intend doing research works during my masters thesis. Lithuania is a great nation with vast economic growth thus, I intend gathering enough experience from my studies here

How long have you been here?
Masters degree are 2 years max. So been in a country for over 5 years ring's a bell. Why haven't you gone home since then? What have u been doing other than schooling?

Think before you reapply.

Hello house,

I'm trying to apply for a visa to France through VFS but can't a date for appointment. I've been looking for days now and it seems slots are not available. Any help with this would be highly appreciated. I would rather not deal with agents.

Hello,

Mine was rescheduled by the embassy. No reason was given. They just sent an email to notify me of this.

Initial appointment date was April 18, rescheduled date was March 15

Popdes:
Good morning Everyone,
Those of you that got your IW drop off appointment rescheduled to an early date by the consulate was there any reason given by the embassy on why they rescheduled it to an early date?
Also, kindly share your initial appointment date and the early date it was rescheduled too.

IW application timeline

Initial interview was rescheduled and brought forward by the embassy.

Dropped off passport at Isolo on 15th March. Approved exactly 3 weeks later, issued the day after that (Thursday last week). Friday and Monday were public holidays. Got mail to pick up passport yesterday and picked it up today, 4 weeks after.

I guess so. I'm able to track the visa process on the "caec" site. Can't access the "cgi" one which talks about whereabouts of the passport etc

Both of you are referring to 2 different platforms.

Hello,

How were you able to check the status. I've been trying to log in since yesterday but I keep getting the message that their servers are down.

I dropped my application about 21 days ago too and it's still saying "Application Received".

Mine changed to "No status but on document delivery information.

I would wait for their final decision probably for scheduled interview or maybe not [/quote]

Thanks

I don't think you can change IW appointment date. That was what I was told by the customer service agents, when I called to try and change my date. I was told all I can do is wait for the appointment date, not show up/drop off my documents and then about 48 hours after the date I would be able to use the same receipt to book another appointment date.

Although, I got the same mail that a few people said they received today, informing me that my appointment date has been rescheduled to next week, approximately 1 month earlier than the date I initially chose.

Pinky:

Please has anyone been in my shoes. How do we change IW date if we cant make the earlier scheduled date pls

hello house.

anyone have any idea the earliest date for interviews at the Lagos embassy?
Travel / Re: USA Visit Visa Part 4 by nuttycaptain: 2:56pm On Jan 23, 2023
Hello house,

Please I need help/advice.

I qualify for IW and I have an appointment booked for 18th April. But a training has come up from work (very necessary for me to be able to continue doing my work), scheduled for first week in march.
Unfortunately IW appointments can't be rescheduled or canceled. I called the embassy (the number on their website) and they confirmed this to me. I asked about booking for expedited appointment but I was told that only applies to regular visa interview appointments and not IW appointment.
Now I don't know which step to take. I am stuck with the IW appointment and can't book a regular appointment.

Anyone know if there's a solution to this? Any advice would be very much appreciated.
