Politics / Re: Boko Haram: Details Of Nigeria, Chad Defence Meeting Finally Emerge by Nuzo1(m): 8:56pm On Apr 09, 2020 |
El rufai and his fellow enemies of Nigeria Twitted these comments when GEJ tried working with Chad to eliminate Boko Haram. What changed? But now, you don't even need to make such a careless statement. All you need to do is constructively criticize the FG on a bad policy and BOOM...... ....The same people who made worst statements will tell you how you are bitter, PDP, ipob, Igbo and enemy of Nigeria. We just have to be careful with the way we politicize human lives in Nigeria. It's heartless, inhuman and evil. I despise hypocrisy!

Politics / Re: Who Do We Blame For Fake News, Government Or Citizens? by Nuzo1(m): 8:45pm On Apr 09, 2020 |
Fake news abound where there are lies and lack of transparency. Transparency is another name for truth. And truth cannot be in the same place with lies. But in the absence of truth, lies/fake news takes over. Nature abhors vacuum. |
Celebrities / Re: Lemar Celebrates His 42nd Birthday Today by Nuzo1(m): 5:36pm On Apr 04, 2020 |
Lemar was underrated for so many reasons. 1. He was British. And just like most British or foreign singers who refused to associate or become more American in one way or another, the land where dreams come true will frustrate them even with their huge talents. It frustrated Craig Davids, Lemar and a bunch of UK finest artists. Madonna, seal and Adele who moved permanently to New York somehow gave up a good dose of British elements before they could blow. 2. Lemar was for sure a good singer but the period he came through also witnessed a boom of very talented American artists who overshadowed his shine. R Kelly was still raining, usher, Omarion, etc took most part of his shine. 3. Undiluted RnB was already dying off. Nelly, Cisco, kci and jojo, B2k etc were already shifting to a more gangster RnB. It was spicy, energetic and danceable. 4. Just like most talented young artists, record and management labels could stunt your growth a great deal. 5. His videos were so plain and so British. No vibe like his American counterparts. Good songs, boring videos. 6. Some Nigerians didn't bother to know him more after they found out he wasn't too interested in associating with Nigeria. And that made his music not as popular as it should have been in Nigeria. All in all, he broke barriers for the British music industry without much support. 3 Likes |

0m0nnakoda: 0m0nnakoda: You have changed your line of argument 3 times now. First, you said Kalus other colleagues were smart enough to cover their tracks. I counterd it by telling you that EFCC on a life broadcast has their case files with hard evidence. 2. From there, you jumped to yaradua being dead and doesn't count (weird argument), i said it counts but that's not the issue. I only used yaradua because he was the class of 99 EFCC said was clean. So what happened to the rest since it's only yaradua and a few others were clean. 3. From there, you jumped to obi. Why are my exonerating him. Read again, this time carefully.... I didn't claim yaradua was clean, Ribadu's EFCC of about 15 years ago did on a national broadcast. Ribadu in the same broadcast indicted all his colleagues except Duke of cross river and one or two others i can't remember. And i only brought in yaraduas name because he governed the same time with Orji Kalu. I wasn't trying to do a corruption competition with anybody. I was just using EFCC template to put things in perspective. They announced on NTA that apart from yaradua and a few others, all others were indicted for corruption, and that included my state governor. So who is parochial here? What exactly is your point? And by the way, who said we can't talk about dead people who governed us? Is abacha not in the news every day? I was very sure what i heard from Ribadu that very afternoon when he excluded yaradua and a few others from the looters. My first comment here was very clear. With their case files in EFCC, what happened all these while till now if not the parochialism you keep talking about? What happened to Goje and Omisore's case to mention a few? Very straight forward case. I brought in obi into the discuss because for his miserly lifestyle, he starved his state of some important projects and that in turn made him not to soil his hands with state funds according to EFCC score sheet. I didn't mention the new entrants like my favorite Zulum, abiodun and Makinde because they've not been really tested. And it seems one or two of the three might fail the test given recent happenings. So sir, find out who got you upset and settle your issues with him. You don't need to twist my statement to satisfy your ulterior motives. You are not fit to bully me with insults and blackmail into agreeing with whatever you believe or don't believe in. |

0m0nnakoda: Can you leave the insults out? Back to your question, i will be lying to you if i told you I understood why Saraki, Uduaghan and co are in the discus. As for obi, I can't remember commenting about obi either in his defense or support here on nairaland. I never voted for him because I never liked his leadership nor his personal lifestyle. He was unnecessarily too miserly for a leader. But one thing I don't think i can take away from him was that he has not been alleged to misappropriated state funds. And why should I exclude yaradua because he's late? And even if we do, my point is that that all past ex governors ALIVE today has a serious case with EFCC, but somehow the government is not serious about it. But your defense is that they have a good way of covering themselves. How? And how does Saraki, Uduaghan etc not being convicted help your argument? I don't even understand where you are coming from. State your points clearly instead of accusing me of being sentimental. |

0m0nnakoda: You were so quick to pick obi while you overlooked the first name yaradua. Maybe, you do not know well, i don't defend people for defending or condemning sake. Take time to go through my posts if you can. EFCC's records are not too difficult to access regarding obi, yaradua and maybe Donald Duke. Matter of fact, Nuhu Ribadu listed out almost all the names of the the ex governors with hard evidence in a senate plenary session some years back. All except yaradua, Duke and maybe 2 others were not alleged to have stolen. And which ex governor didn't have a bad relationship with either obj, yaradua and GEJ? |

0m0nnakoda: Cover which tracks? All the past and present governors, maybe with the exception of Yaradua, Obi and a few others has huge and straight forward case files with EFCC and ICPC. Your case is only activated based on your relationship with the man in power, ambition, religion and ethnicity. Just so you know again, I am happy with the conviction. |

Well, most Igbos are happy with the conviction. The problem the Igbos usually have with such conviction is that such justice doesn't go round. The question will be; what happened to his governor colleagues from 1999-2007. Na only him and jolly Nyame waka come? That's when you start hearing Igbos defending "their son" since the other people's sons cannot be touched for the same offense. Nigeria cannot grow an inch without equal justice, effective reward and punishment system. Truth! 2 Likes 1 Share |
Politics / Re: Buhari's Daughter Reunites With Family After 14 Days In Isolation (Photo) by Nuzo1(m): 11:20am On Apr 03, 2020 |
Montlab25: Yes to your first question. Leadership is all about selflessness and seeing to the greater and general interests of the entire people you are leading. Not your daughter first before the lives of millions. And when you can't be hardened enough to do the above, you should not even contest for the post of a councilor in a local government. Most times, if not all the times, seeking for the interest of the entire people over personal interests has proven to even benefit even the leader at the long run. What if she had come back and infected the leader himself just like kyari infected many leaders? And who said she won't be fine if she was allowed to stay back? The Nigerians allowed to return are also not bigger than Nigerian students in China who were refused their plea to come back by the government. What changed between these 2 groups of Nigerians? Go and read up about Lee Kuan Yew of Singapore, General park of South Korea, Taiwanese leaders how selflessness transforms societies. I don't even want to talk about the leadership in Scandinavian or Nordic countries. Go and find out what the "madman" in Phillipines is doing. He doesn't care if you are a family member, if you dare stand in the way of the state by omission or commission, na you sabi. And look at how fast Phillipines are sitting up. Now, don't get me wrong, we are all humans and come along with a good dose of empathy for our family members. But in this case, the young lady's life was not threatened by the pandemic and could have stayed back. 1 Like 1 Share |

Her question is not out of place. However, I hope it is not for ulterior motives. That being said, for those who are not worried Mr kyari is sick, you better start being. If anything happens to abba kyari today, it is rumored that the number 1 Nigeria schemer kingibe will be begged to take over (i still doubt he will accept). That is when Nigerians will understand that Abba kyari is far better and manageable. |

Montlab25: Black doesn't understand what leadership is all about. It just has be about having power to protect his family and friends interests. The western and Eastern world are developed just because of one character; selflessness. If you are not ready to sacrifice something precious to you for a greater good of the people, then leadership is not for you. |

Biodun556: On a normal situation, nobody has the right to lock any citizen out. But on an emergency situation, it is okay to do so. Our legislators voted to lock out Nigerian students in China far when this crisis started. Or are those students less of Nigerian citizens? Closing international borders to fellow citizens and closing state borders to citizens, which violates our rights more? The later of course! Every single error should not be defended. We Nigerians especially the government must learn to take responsibility and apologize once in a while. |

Calculate the total amount that has been donated so far, it won't be half of what the FG makes from VAT in 2 days. If you want to criticize the government, do so on the basis that the number of people with corona virus is falsely reduced due to their inability to test people. Yes, government officials will loot money as usual but the lockdown though should have come with palliative measures, it is timely and has proven to be the best way to identify problem areas and effectively work on them. Nigeria does not have the capacity to tackle a full blown corona virus. Total lockdown is the only way out. The money donated so far are peanuts. If Buhari wants similar donations done to his private account, the donors can comfortably double what they have donated so far. Use your brain please. 1 Like 1 Share |

On the 26th of April 2016, in my deep dreams I was revealed to the events playing out now. It was really scary. But it ended in praise. Early this morning, i remembered i had written down this dream in my revelation book. Checked out and the details i saw was shocking to me. I won't go into details in order not to offend some and come off as insensitive. It will get scarier, people will be helpless, no where to turn to and fatality rate will be high. But Nigeria won't experience much loss. The pandemic will restructure and shapen world economies and diplomatic engagements. More so, it will be a critical juncture for the leadership of Nigeria. I saw the dark cloud brighten on the 26th of April. It will be for a greater good. Stay home as much as you can. 2 Likes |

I hope you guys are trying to have fun with this thread. If not, it's a very stupid thread. If anyone is to resign for falling sick for a few days, it has to be Buhari who was sick for almost a year. Please stop being childish. If you are calling for Kyari's resignation, it has to be on the basis of non performance. Not because he fell sick for a few days. Anybody can fall sick! And thinking that Buhari will replace his most closest personal assistant with a non Hausa speaking Northerner, then it means you do not know anything about Buhari and Mamman Daura. 1 Like |
