Something to encourage the Veterans here,myself and wife got our visa approved via Dropbox. We had two kids in Oakbend Hospital 2015/2018. I was very active on this page around 2014.

Our last Visa expired in 2019. Even though wife got a medical visa,we never bothered applying during the Trump years due to the funny rejection rate for parents of US citizens and the long time wait for appointment.

Submission was done on the 7th of February
Visa was Issued on the 23rd of February

Even though this is my 4th application for a US visa i still believe God's grace worked for us . I believe Being truthful and upfront at the previous visa interview also helped.

Getting a 2nd passport for our kids has been one of the best decisions we've made as a couple. In those days many people thought our decision was a waste of money as Nigeria wasnt this rough but here we are.So i say, Goodluck to everyone on this adventure,it will end in praise.

Hi congrats

How many years did they give you. Had the 5 years kick in
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by nwajay(m): 8:21am On Jun 09, 2022
Junene:
Hello Nairalanders! please I need your help. I got my visa in October last year and immediately applied for my kids. Since then, no response. I traveled ahead and left my kids behind because school was resuming in April but it was the hardest period of my life.
I spoke with my program coordinators and they allowed me come back home since my courses were virtual.

This is my dilemma: After doing the Canadian life for a few weeks I’ve seen how difficult it’ll be for me to combine school and 2 toddlers (2&4 year olds) without my husband (he’s staying back) and I think I should wait for both of them to be of school age first. Even if I want to come with them, I’ll have to reapply and with all these IRCC long waiting times, the visa may not come in time for me to go with them in September. If I abandon this study visa (it expires in Feb 2023), will I have issues getting a new one when I’m ready (maybe in 2 years)? What would you guys honestly advice?

Hi I may not be able to advice on the if you will get a new one. But these are my thoughts.

i. There is a certain amount of money you are expected to bring into the Canadian economy(you brought the tuition fee but the funds to take care of yourself will not be utilized in Canada)

ii. Did you make a verifiable case officially on the reason why you need to return. Was there a formal request and an approval? (this could come in handy when you need to reapply)

iii. If you abandon the study and reapply when they are the right age. I believe you will need to put a proper LOE for why you abandoned the study and prove to them you are indeed ready and have made proper considerations for all you did not in the previous application.

Wish you well.

Education / Re: Is Nexford University Accredited In Nigeria? by nwajay(m): 8:14am On Dec 01, 2021
This is a very deceptive statement. Nexford is not accredited, your founder has responded ethically numerous times on this issue. You are still in the process of getting accredited with DEAC.

Its is important you communicate ethically and give complete information to your prospective students who will decide if they want to get the training or need an accredited course/degree for other purposes.

You got that right it's now a competition. Especially for those in the same category. And it's one appointee per position.

Mr. Maxmayor i would have loved to give you a little insight to what it will look like because we are not going for the same role. However this is an open social network and could end up working against me.

Dig deeper you will get a little info and forget whatever you saw on the graduate trainee group (what you will face is no where near what they are going to be subjected to)

The number of years of experience you've got must count like 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6,.... on that day. Make it count!!!!!!!

In addition to the aforementioned by lokodon, NLNG is prepared to accommodate those returning from UK after their study. However there will still be an AC in the UK as long as much as one person makes it to that stage for the following reasons;
1. Not every one will be returning to Nigeria after their study
2. The fact that some of them may possess dual citizenship makes some of them an asset
3. Because NLNG has already committed itself to recruiting from the UK
4. A no brainer, NLNG has the resources to recruit anywhere they feel like.

For those traveling to the UK and other countries for their study, NLNG is also aware some of its candidates will be resuming from the 1st week of September 2014 for the purpose of an advanced study. The things they don't know are;
1. Do the candidates wish to have their AC in the UK
2. Where is the student study domicile (USA, UK, ......) and can he/she make it to the AC in the addresses presented to them

Today is the 30th of September, 2014, for those who may or may not have started thinking of what to do, kindly make the following advances;
1. At this point you may have to inform NLNG of your change of address
2. Just in case, make a return flight ticket money available if you have to return to Nigeria for your AC.

Whatever step you take you can't go wrong, you will only get it wrong if you don't make a MOVE.

Peace

Lagos, I do not know anyone or if an interview was conducted in Port-harcourt. People from The north were also interviewed in Lagos.

vebee: I think we were about 18 of us that were interviewed on the day I was interviewed but I believe we all came at different times so the office does not get too crowded! I hope for the best for us all smiley

You are correct in the average figures of those who attended the interview. I doubt if there were up to 80-100 people based on the list I saw which included all job functions. Except someone else was interviewed outside of the two days which have been already mentioned in this forum.

Dear All,
Subsequent to your application to NLNG Ship Management Limited (NSML) for the Position of Senior Planning & Manning Officer and the online assessment test you did, please be informed that you were not successful in the online assessment test.
We wish you success in your future endeavours.
Sincerely,
NLNG Ship Management Limited Recruitment

Was this mail sent as Dear all? Any info on planning and manning officers?
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: NLNG Ship Management Limited (NSML) Calling by nwajay(m): 11:13pm On Jul 20, 2014
tmry: No news yet but this week I believe they will inform those that made it and also invite them for the validation test on LNG website.
I wish everyone of us that took the online assessment Goodluck!!!

I don't think what they meant is a website. What it said was nlng ship management site(location). The essence of a validation would/should be to confirm that you actually took the first UNSUPERVISED test on your own. Therefore you would be required to take the test on site, precisely in port harcourt just before a face to face interview.

Dear PTDF fellows,

To help you look at your situation with a birds eye. This is going to be the situation. You do not even think of mentioning the PTDF scholarship during your interview. Get the offer from NLNG and then you can call out a member of the HR to seek his opinion about your situation. Bear in mind that immediately you mention this to him/her the HEAD HR will know that one of their new employee is thinking of going for his MSc.

Now NLNG does not recruit into the graduate trainee program often, if I remember correctly it looks like the last exercise was in 2007. When HR is faced with such a situation, first thing is to make sure that the business continues with or without you. So the moment you mention you are thinking of leaving, the first thing NLNG will do is to get a replacement. They will not make the decision to stay or leave for you (You will do that yourself). Because the induction and business has a timeline. On your return which is likely to be in 2015. You will send a mail to your contact at NLNG. But remember that you did not go through the process of training with them so you are lacking in that aspect. Keep in mind that a space was not reserved for you because that would mean running the business on a stretchy but possibly thick thread against a firm one.

At this moment if you do not know what decision to take think about it this way first, something has to give. However if there is still a chance that you could have both world you would not be disappointed. Before you take your decision think about where you want to be in the next 5 years and chose the one that helps you get there.

All these are in the view that you get the NLNG job.

PEACE

Phone/Internet Market / Re: Glo BIS (Globacom Blackberry Internet Solution) Now 1400? by nwajay(m): 2:22pm On Sep 18, 2011
Glo has been the first to bring down prices, challenging other networks to do same. I dont see what glo stands to gain by reducing prices since MTN still has a more costly plan than glo. MTN charges 3K for their BIS FULL OPTION PLAN while glo used to charge 2800 for theirs. Now it is 1400. can someone in his right mind tell me why he still pays money to a company that treats its staff like dirt, takes money made from our sweat to develope their own country and played the BIGGEST FRAUDULENT SCHEEM EVER( per sec billing not possible).
