Title: From Shadows to Light.

The city of Lagos was a stark contrast to the emptiness Amina felt inside. As a 25-year-old aspiring photographer, she yearned to capture the vibrancy of her city, but her own life lacked color. Freelance gigs barely paid the bills, and caring for her ageing mother took a toll. Amina felt invisible, undervalued, and on the verge of giving up.

One evening, while wandering the streets of Ikeja with her camera, Amina stumbled upon an art exhibition at the Nike Art Gallery. She was drawn to the expressive paintings of a renowned artist, Kola. His art spoke to her, reigniting a spark within her.

As she gazed at Kola's work, Amina realized that she, too, had a story to tell. She approached Kola, mustering the courage to show him her photography. To her surprise, he was intrigued and invited her to collaborate on a project.

Working with Kola, Amina found a purpose. She began to see the world through a new lens. Kola's unwavering belief in her talents helped Amina recognize her own worth.

Amina poured her heart into her work, channeling her struggles into powerful images. The project garnered attention, and soon, opportunities came knocking.

One day, Amina received a call from Genevieve Magazine, prominent Nigerian publication, offering her a job as a staff photographer. It was a dream come true.

Amina realized she had the power to shape her destiny. She decided to take control of her narrative, embracing her challenges and using them as fuel to propel her forward.

Today, Amina is a successful photographer, using her art to tell stories of hope and resilience. She's grateful for the lessons she learned and the strength she found within herself. Amina knows that life may throw lemons, but with determination and passion, she can make the sweetest lemonade.
Politics / Re: CBN Raises Interest Rate (MPR) To 22.75% by nwetadinobi042(m): 7:34pm On Feb 28, 2024
Does it mean the Interest payable on some savings account is not based on the MPR?
RepoMan007:
I doubt so. If it means increased interests, where will banks suddenly get the extra money to pay that interest from?
The banking sector in Nigeria is unique in the sense that it lends to mostly civil servants whose salary can be easily used to recover the loans. They dont believe in SMEs(and thats for good reasons off course), so how will deposits be used to suddenly generate extra profit from which they will pay higher interest?
The civil servants themselves are finding it hard to feed not to talk of repaying loans or taking new ones.

This whole chess-like move they are making is nothing more than a postponement of the d-day if import substitution is not aggressively pursued.

So the usual interest payable will still be intact?

Travel / Re: I Am Considering Japa For The First Time In My Life. The Hardship Is Unbearable by nwetadinobi042(m): 5:41pm On Feb 27, 2024
Please tell us more of these route, the experiences you had and why it was justified. I am an undergraduate and I am already feeling hopeless in this country on a daily.
gaby:
In all you do, please, ensure to Jakpa the right way and not the way I did over 25 years ago with the same frustration and hardship brought upon us by our inept leaders.

isn't it funny that the same thing that pushed us enmasse to Jakpa over 2 decades ago is even gotten worse today?

Where is the hope, my people?

If you can Jakpa legit, make the move ASAP. The people you are looking up to solve the same issues caused by them have their wards away from Nigeria waiting to come back to continue from where their parents stopped, while the ones in Nigeria are strategically placed as place-holders waiting to step into their parents' positions.

I used to blame myself and my mates for the risks we took to find a way out of the dungeon, but our decisions keeps getting justified by the day. R.I.P to my mates who passed on in the course of our journeys. Nigeria is worse off, guys.

It is disgustingly a hopeless situation, I must confess.

Tinubu's administration is a disaster

• You go appoint a Banker, Bayo Adelabu wey na monetary matter him know about all him life as Minister for Power.

Sadly, under Bayo, national grid done collapsed more than 8 times within 8 months, and Megawats don drop patapata from 2,000Mw to 450Mw. Sotey some Discos dey receive Zero Mw.

• You appoint an information (media) guru, Dele Alake as Minister of Mines. Person wey every Nigeria know say na talk him sabi talk.
Nothing dey mine nau.

• You carry a whole trillionaire wey get many companies both home and abroad, Atiku Bagudu take do Minister for Budget & Planning.
Wetin him want plan past him business and political empire.

• You appoint tax collectors and commercial bankers, Wale Edun and Yemi Cardoso as Minister of Finance and Central Bank Governor as if you know dey this country wen Obasanjo spent millions of dollars to get technocrats like Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala and Charles Soludo to help his government stabilize the economy and financial sector.
Kemi Adeosun and Sanusi Lamidi Sanusi also did their best under Jonathan and Buhari's government.

Meanwhile, Adams Oshiomhole warned the Senate make dem no approve appointment of commercial bankers like Cardoso to handle monetary policy of the country.

• You appoint boyfriend and girlfriend, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo and Beta Edu as Minister of Interior and Humanitarian Affairs. But later sacrificed Beta for Tunji-Ojo wey the entire world know say he follow chop inside Betagate scandal.

• You still come appoint your younger brother, Isiaka Adegboyega Oyetola wey fail woefully as a sitting Governor sotey him opponent defeat am take do Minister for Marine & Blue Economy.
Person wey no know anything about marine sotey the blue economy sef don turn to black economy.

Economy team or federal executive council no be for political patronage or compensation at all.

I swear, Tinubu don put everything and everybody in Nigeria for reverse.

So please tell us, what do you currently do to get foreign currency here in Nigeria whether online or offline.

How do you go about getting spetranet? Is this 150GB monthly or nah?
hoyze24:
I'm on do more package on spectranet. #16700 for 150GB and free browsing from 1am-8am.
Phones / Re: Which Internet Data Subscription Are You Currently On? by nwetadinobi042(m): 6:24pm On Feb 13, 2024
Is it for a month or nah?
hansomb:
Always-On 45GB for N6000 (1.5GB daily allocation).
Text 163 to 312 to activate. I believed this is the best deal. You will ALWAYS have data to use everyday in a controlled manner and I believed 1.5 gb is a modest volume to consume for gaming, social media and online business activities. If you did not finish it you can use it to download movies or songs or heavy pdf or YouTube videos.

You can use as many brokerage apps as possible but with as many CSCS account numbers as the apps. However, you can have a unique Clearing House Number (CHN) for all, given that all the accounts KYC details are the same.

I have assumed that the apps are from (linked to) Nigeria SEC licenced stockbroking firms.

I keep seeing this attitude all the time. This person used you to wipe the road and you think bringing the encounter here will make you what?

Humble yourself and learn. You can't sell home vacuum cleaner to a street sweeping company.
