Congrats. Was it a consecutive win or was it Green beret that won last season.

No. I first won it in 2017/2018 season. This 2020/2021 is my 2nd. I don't think any other person has won the main league twice.

https://www.nairaland.com/3921349/nairaland-fantasy-premier-league-2017/69#67562100

I have always been in the top 25. Last season I was top 10.

Also, I have always made top 8 in FA but never made it past semi finals. angry

Congratulations to you also Dayo! You tried and gave it a good fight!

congrats bro...

Thanks Bro!

I guess it's confirmed now that I won the main league (for the 2nd time now.... cheesy )

My target has always been to make top 10 and in worse case scenario make at least top 50 on NL Premier league.

And I think I have sustained that overtime.

I always believed anyone in top 50 can win it... this fantasy game is 50% of skillful strategic plan and 50% of luck.

Congratulations to everyone..... and thanks to you all that sustain the thread with enough banters; adding to the fun of it all cool

Let's do it again next season! cool

All the above loosely applies anyway.

The only reason why top 8 in FA Cup or top 25 in league will miss out on FA Cup is if they are late.

Another factor that counts is contribution to banter, so the likes of Timbros, SodO9 and Raumdeuter will always have spot as they contribute to the community and banter throughout the season. Although I'm considering waffing SodO9 if he doesn't make top100 in the league cheesy

Very Good!

Then, let us concretely apply them so everyone knows what to expect.

And lets wait at least 2 weeks before the 1st gameweek or set a concrete deadline before substituting those who won by right with others. I almost lost out this season because I didn't know when the registration started. And some of the regular veterans lost out too....

All former league Champions are allowed into FA Cup.

Not to mention a former league Champion and 4 time FA Cup winner plus league moderator.

I think it's about time we have standard rules applicable every season. If need be, we can debate this before the start of next season.

IMO, to increase encouragement and quality, I think anyone who made top 8 in FA should automatically qualify for next season, also the 2 finalists in Carling cup should be promoted to FA, then we can add some top 25 from the main league who are active Nairalanders. The remaining spots can now be shared and given to NL FPL Veterans on the basis of 1st to apply.

Similar applies to who qualifies for Carling cup... Should be top 8 previous season and among top 50 main league..

And if possible we should be able to match the NL monikers with all players in FA and Carling at the start of the season.

Just my humble suggestions.

Playing Professor Killer

Team Emerald FC

It is has good as not qualifying, I wanted to avoid him at all cost.

lol

As you can see from the results, I was even the easiest opponent for you. cheesy

I rarely go beyond quarter finals in FA because most of the qualifiers reserve their chips for the knockout.

Your problem was that you didn't plan for Blank GW36 while planning for Double GW 35, so you ended up having 6 or 7 players with blank for BGW36. For example you made 3 changes in DGW35 which included Castagne who has no fixture in BGW36 and tougher fixtures afterward, while I got rid of him and others for those who had fixtures in GW36.

Better luck next time.

What out for him and ibime, especially ibime.
#otoge grin grin

There is nothing I can do against Nihilist defeating me in the next GW

I cannot deploy my 2nd Wildcard for a blank week...

Anyone having a free hit chip available and still loses to a team without one in the next GW should be a novice.

I am sure Nihilist will be singing now..."it is for such a week like this I reserved my free hit chip grin"

I cannot complain, my free hit chip helped me to get to where I am now after deploying it earlier in the season.

As they say.... we move! cheesy cool

lol ... if he had won, he would have been comfortably sited in the top 8 and I'll be struggling to get back in top 8...

And I am meeting Nihilst next; who I suspect will use his available free hit chip to get a full team against my incomplete team in BGW29.

Talk about lucky or unlucky draws. I had the 3rd highest points total in FA Cup but happened to be playing OAM4J who had the highest points total.

Meanwhile wack teams like Juices FC got an average score but was playing the team with the 2nd lowest score. This is the story of the season.

Sorry o.

I am pleasantly surprised to see I still got the highest score in the FA league when I though I was having a terribly bad week. I stopped checking my scores after Arsenal Vs Spurs match when my 2 new recruits (Son & Bale) only gave me a point each and Kane blanked (Though I was happy Arsenal won cheesy )

Everyone who got above 50 won, except you. Even Lala won Mukina with 38 points cheesy

This Werner is very unfortunate in life o. I decided to be patient with him believing Chelsea will improve this weekend.. I was happy seeing Chelsea leading 4 - 0, only to find out the idiot didn't even contribute an assist.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Nairaland Fantasy Premier League 2020/21 by OAM4J: 9:51pm On Sep 13, 2020
You guys should chill.

There should be no need for regret... It's a marathon not a Sprint. Even many of the world best players didn't get their 1st team right.

If this gameweek decisions were difficult, then imagine next gameweek when the 2 Manchester teams come on board.

This season will be very interesting, with so many prime players and no one can have all the prime players... And some players who blanked this week might come out smoking hot next week, adding to the fun. We are not just looking at the regular top 4 teams anymore... There are key players in almost all the teams to consider.

So I will say you all should calm down and see how the games unfold in the next 2-3 gameweeks... Then the real run begins...

Administrative Error - Football Association expresses regret

The FPL Football Association would like to tender apologies to the management of MaziAlaye.

FA Secretary, Ibime Ayapripri has admitted to an administrative error in granting MaziAlaye access to the Cup. Hear him - "I would like to apologise profusely to MaziAlaye for signing off on their FA Cup entry. Upon further review, it was determined that MaziAlaye finished nearly 4 millionth in the World last season which is nowhere near enough to qualify for FA Cup. The Administration team had mistaken MaziAlaye for MaziOmenunko who is a successful and legendary FPL manager. With regrets and sincere apologies, MaziAlaye has now been withdrawn from the FA Cup as there are much higher qualified players deserving of that spot. MaziAlaye will now be compensated with entry into the Carling Cup."

Yours Sincerely
Football Association of FPL

The Secretary himself cheesy

Well done!

ART OF WAR
And when they had all left the King’s chamber, King Bubu summoned Mormor, son of Duara. And he spoke to him saying,
“Tifni, son of Nubu causes me grieve for his strangle hold on wealth and the people of Yoruba, especially those who dwell by the Lagoon. Now he claims he’s National Leader of our great house, AOP. What does that make me? Can you make this grieve go away?”

“This means war,” replied Mormor, son of Duara.

“I am an old fox,” replied the King, “And every dog has its day.”

Moral of this my long epistle :

I'm impressed with Gazzuzz; his dedication and honesty got me awed. 850K is a big small money to transfer to someone you've only met online especially in this current economy but he came through.

I also want to thank him for his patience with me.

Would I recommend him to someone else? Yes ofcourse.

Thanks Oga Gazzuzz, nice doing business with you, looking forward to bigger transactions with you( when my container lands) and keep up the good work.

A good name they say, resounds louder and longer than all the riches of this world.

Just seeing this thread Ify, thanks to lock-down everywhere I am able to read many more threads now. cheesy

I have read so many positive feedback on Gazzuzz services and I'm yet to come across a scandalous one. Many started well on NL but over time they became greedy and wanted to live beyond their means. I'm glad that Gazzuzz still remains true to his integrity.

I have decided before now that when I am ready to get a car I will be using anytime I am in naija to take Ifyalways out on dinner, cheesy it has to be from him and I will possibly pay and keep it with him when I am out of Naija before my bros and cousins "Kazimed" it for me like the previous ones. cheesy

Oga Gazzuzz, please keep it up, a good name is still million times better than riches, especially ill gotten riches.... You will surely hear from me soon, God sparing our lives.
