What you can do is to open a file and keep the moniker, team name and email address of all the people you are sending codes now, in their different categories. It will make the job easier for you next season, as you will only need to sort out those being promoted and those going relegation.

He is right and your point is valid as well, that's why I suggested 2 leagues format for this coming season. Elite League and General League. You can drop the code for the general League as usual but I suggest there should be another one with very limited participants -20.

Best 4 from General League should advance to Elite League the following season and vice versa. Every participant in this season FA should automatically be in the Elite League, hence I suggest you send 2 codes - for Elite League and the FA to active, known players.

We just must make it lively and fun-filled this coming season bro.

That will be extra work, but if you guys have the time and energy, fine by me... Just that 20 will be too small for the Elite league you suggested, I will suggest 50; which should include all the participants of FA and Carling cups, plus additional 10 participants that did well in the main league in the previous season.

Otherwise, I will say if the thread for new season is not pushed to the home page, participation is not automatic every new season, and only those who visit the thread on NL-EPL Section will see the code for the main League, then participation will be limited to some extent to serious participants.

I suggest you and Oasis007 fine-tune the rules and conditions going forward and open a new thread for the new season and let's understand the new rules (if any) before sharing the codes.

Let's do these quickly, the season is opened already.

FPL News....

FPL managers will now be able to bank FIVE free transfers. This is an increase from two.

Secondly, you will KEEP your banked transfers even when you play a chip.

Also Fantasy managers will be given a NEW CHIP in 2024/25, to go alongside the two Wildcards, the Bench Boost, the Free Hit and the Triple Captain. At this stage, it's only known as the "Mystery Chip" We will know the details about the chip later.

getting more interesting....

Whao! I know it's not easy. You and Mukina2 have tried.

iamoyindamola:

Why na
Okay create the leagues I can help you share the codes and if we have other volunteers too please come forth

Why not just create the leagues so it will be easier for you to control wrong entries after sharing codes. You might need 1 or 2 more assistants.

Also let's see which and which recommendations/ suggestions earlier made can be implemented going forward, so the rules can be set at once...

These is just my own personal suggestion which is subject to majority of the active members' agreement.

It's same email you use in registering your account
Anybody can create leagues

Oh okay I get it. Sorry I have not created a league before.

That means Mukina owns the email to all the league we are presently playing... And we can not have a neutral league because the creator must have his/her team in the league too... A bit complicated to make the league independent of a particular player.

Well you guys should work out whatever idea and changes that are convenient to implement.

I am not sure you need access to emails o. We can keep tracks of events and iamoyindamola has also offered to support.

iamoyindamola:

You don't need to access people's email and password to know their standings
Ibime can be in all leagues to control that

I don't mean participant emails. I mean the email accounts used to create the main league, FA and Carling cups.

As at now, I think only Mukina2 (or with Ibime) has access to that email, if she is busy or for one reason unable to reactive those league accounts on time in a new season, then all participants will be stranded. All the administrators should be able to reactivate those league accounts, control and monitor the participants, so they can weed out those who are not meant to be in a particular league but got the codes through the backdoors or those who break any set rule...

Ibime.....since you will be incharge fully next season, pls let's make it interesting and competitive. We do not need large number of dormant players, rather few number of active participants.

Out of 500+ that registered for the league, how many are active on this board?! You see some names and you wonder where they crawl out from.

Like someone suggests, we can structure next season into perhaps 2 League Formats. NL Elite League for known active participants and NL General League for the rest.

Allow every player in the NL Elite League to participate in the FA Cup as well. At end of season, bottom 4 or more, depends on the number of players should be relegated to NL General League and Vice versa [promote top 4 or more to from General League to Elite League].

The idea of promotion and relegation is a good idea and will add more fun to the whole thing. I support.

It's just that it is a lot of work for one person to handle seamlessly. For it to work, we might need at least 3 active administrators with access to the email and password of all the accounts we use for these fantasy games.

I will also suggest the following:

- Let's keep the structure as they are, (The Main league, FA Cup and Carling Cup)

- Carling Cup will be the promotion feeder and relegation receiver from the FA Cup, while those who performed well in the main league the previous season can join the carling cup on request. Relegate bottom 3 from both H2H and promote top 3 from Carling cup and main league.

- By all means, while we make the code of the main league available for all interested, let's not make it automatic in the new season to include all previous participants. We now have like thousands participants in the main league and I doubt if hundreds among them still visit Nairaland.

- To address the problem of waiting indefinitely for those who are qualified for FA and Carling Cup, we can give a grace of 2 weeks after opening of the new season thread for qualified people to request for codes after which we can give the remaining available spots to the next most qualified people that are already showing interest.

We can fine tune all these to make it more fun and convenient for the handlers.

The season comes to an early end for me. I forgot to update my team before deadline.

I used the wildcard to setup my team for the final run last week, planned to use my triple cap on Harland this week and bench boost next GW... But I got too busy with real life events and forgot my fantasy...

Hope I can create more time for this fantasy next season. Good luck in advance to the winners.

Lol, when I checked the results last Sunday, I gave up already that I lost the GW to you, because there is no way I expected Bowen with an hattrick, you have Foden vs my KDB and Ake vs my Walker. I was even angry with myself that I picked Bowen instead of Douglas Luiz, because while looking for Diogo's replacement in my team, my head went with Douglas Luiz but my mind was with Bowen, so you can imagine how I felt after Douglas Luiz' brace on Saturday not knowing Bowen will perform better and rescue my bad gameweek on Monday.

I didn't even touch my team that week... I only remembered the team after the GW deadline... I was in between many other fantasies ni jare...

Anyway, It's about time we address our nonchalant attitude to this beautiful game.... The handlers of Brutallion has been told to break their circle of consistent inconsistencies and do better in the 2nd half of the season..

Professor Killer in a chat with some journalists recently stated: "Even though the management of the club told us we can relax and spend less in recent seasons, having won this great championship twice, in other to give room for some paper tigers to actually develop and become real tigers, but what we will not tolerate is disrespect from these paper tigers, we remain the lion of this jungle and we are still as brutal as ever, cos we will never change from being BRUTALLION!".

Problem here is that there's no laid out rules guiding the league's for everyone to see.

The requirements should be listed for all, some of the requirements should be voted by the members to either be removed or remain.

The league na for everybody. Without structure we won't even know what we're fighting for during the season.

Apart from the administrator, let everyone have an equal playing right. How many FA Cup slots is given to the NL league, how many to active members on this section of the forum.
What's the criteria for the Carling Cup? Etc..

If everybody knows this rule, nobody go dey disturb everybody about codes or anything. Because at the end of the season you go done know where you dey..

Also, a metric should be put in place to determine what "active" entails, and who active pass. Because at the end of the day no be everybody wey active go get the code. Because the slots for league performance go dey obviously more than being active here.

Make we look into this because every season na the same back and forth.

There are laid down rules. Maybe you didn't get Ibime. Let me break it down for you.

Everybody is allowed to play in the main league. But to qualify for the FA H2H, Ditto the Carling Cup, there are 4 things that will qualify you to participate:

1. Being a previous main league winner or FA cup winner in the past.

2. Being in the Top30 in the main league during the previous season. Sometimes if there are late show, top 50 are considered

3. Being the winner of Carling Cup the previous season.

4. Being an active poster on this thread.

Now if we put all these together we might have more than 50 people qualifying for only 20 available slots in FA and 20 in Carling Cup, so it becomes a case of First come, first serve. Which means even if you are a previous winner or if you are qualified by other means but you don't come to request for code early, you will still miss out. This is because the volunteer administrators cannot afford to wait forever.

I hope the rules are clear now.

Let's not deceive ourselves, no Nigerian arsenal fan will tell me he considers spurs a bigger rival than Chelsea, man united or Liverpool

You support Arsenal sometimes, we understand and appreciate that, but you are not a FAN.

No Arsenal fan will romance or dine with Spuds or Chelsea even with a long spoon, especially Spuds; the hatred between us has been ages.

The only time Arsenal fans will want either of them to win is if it help our cause, even though we know they are always useless to us, otherwise we will always wish them bottomless failure. Like they both didn't make Europe, we are just a lil happy, we would have preferred they were actually relegated cheesy

What a season for us at Brutallion... We are not so brutal as we always do. 😢

1st time in over a decade we did not make FA playoff and first time we are away from top 50 at this time of the season in the main League.... Well, just maybe per chance or miracle we can still make top 50 as we are currently occupying the 52nd position.

All in all it's been a poor season... We missed a number of deadline and had little time to make adequate assessment of the players and gameweek cos of lack of time due to many travels... But we only have ourselves to blame.

Fair enough... We will meet again.

Congratulations in advance to the winners.

As if it were. Meaning it still retains its FCT status.

The fact that it is still the FCT means that the leading candidate must score 25% in the FCT.

If 299 eradicated it's FCT status then it would be a different matter altogether. Then you'd be correct in saying that the 25% doesn't matter.

What is 'FCT status' that makes it special? FCT/Abuja in the eye of the law is just like any other states, just that it is under federal government administration. It has a state status like Oyo or Imo or Kogi or Kano.

Now anybody that win Abuja will be declared abi?

No. You must still win majority of the votes from the 36 states AND FCT and have min 25% from 24 states.

But like I wrote earlier, I don't think Abuja is special and different from other states. So there will be no rerun specially for Abuja.

Abuja is a MUST.

The constitution said AND FCT. Until you remove AND FCT clause, you must meet the requirement.

I doubt if INEC will be bold enough to ignore this fact. So calm down and face the run-off. What are you afraid of? Afterall it's the mighty jagagban we are talking about. What's a run-off for him? A walk in the park.

Lol. How are you my friend Point B? It's been a while.

On the subject matter, I think you are misplacing the AND. I think what the section mean is scoring at least 25% in any 2/3 states of the (36 states AND FCT). The AND is only joining FCT to the already established 36 states making it technically "37 states".

I don't think it means a special 25% must be scored in FCT.

Abuja has the status of a state. Being a federal territory,The 'governor' is the president who administer it through a ministerial appointee.

So if you score majority votes and 25% in any of the 2//3 of the '37 states' (original 36 states AND FCT which is 24.666 approx 25 states you win.

Now ... If for a moment you are right about Abuja having a special status requiring special 25% , then the rerun will only be between APC and PDP and only in FCT since FCT special requirement is the problem. But I don't believe the writers of the constitution mean that.
