@frithom - one advantage the PM course would give you is that u go get an overall view.it doesnt make much sense if u tie yourself to a vendor say Oracle, microsoft etc.u see the koko na say i dey see many vacancies whey them dey ask for PM skills because organisations dey go everly do projects.so i suggest u do it - u cant go wrong with the PM course.the PMP one in particular. i hope say u make sense out of my gist.
Career / Re: Starting Project Management Training/certification by obamacain: 11:01am On Aug 10, 2009
You can get the training cheaper and equally interesteing and practical enough for the exam and work purposes at less than 150k. the place i know - it goes for 70k and depending on when u pay u can get up to 10% discount.

And many trained have also passed. so u can even save more money for your exam and study materials.its making a lot of difference in the work place oo and in terms of job opportunities.
cheers

@corle u wud start with the case study of a village and u wud be asked to come up with ur solns - u wud be given like 20 emails by someone u are standing in for and u wud be required to highlight the issues facing the community based on the emails and asked which u wud attend to first, then u wud have group discussions on a community project. They are looking at CAR (Capacity,, )

The last part wud be after lunch where u wud give a 15mins technical presentation of ur choice - based on that u wud be asked questions. The presentation wud be on something u have done before. say u be programmer u go talk abt that and the languages u code in, if na network u dey do too then u go give presentation on that as well. that wud last for like 45mins. all the best

Certification And Training Adverts / Re: Do You Need Dumps For Your Certification Exams? by obamacain: 7:44am On May 21, 2009
i dont believe u can get dumps for the PMP - I dont suggest dumps for an exam like that though because when there is a need for u to face a panel for an interview and u dey look since nothing go dey head, just cram and pass. there are ethics guiding the institute. or what do u think? tis better u get a good place to train for the PMP and CAPM - i sabi a place sha where u go get correct training - I am talking from experience so u fit send mail to ask@parkandbrian.com
Certification And Training Adverts / Re: Project Management Training by obamacain: 6:50am On May 21, 2009
they are yet to have an Abuja class but in the mean time u could send a mail to ask@parkandbrian.com to know when they would start in abuja, but i am sure that if they can get a good response i.e at least 10 pple they can start with them in Abuja. but it's a great experience listening from the facilitators wealth of experience - they are great at that. not just book knowledge now but also very practical so u read less for the exam.
