Obamagbagbeeni: UPDATE: I picked up my passport on Friday 29th April and was asked to come in for an interview on any Thursday. I went for the interview last Thursday and my visa was approved. Conversation below: VO: why do you want to go to the States? Me: Family vacation…it’s been a long while..and my kids are badgering us VO: I see you spent a lot on deliveries. Would you be using this visa for medicals? Me: Yes I did but I am done with that aspect. VO: laughed…it is okay if you want to Me: cuts in…no, I am done. VO: okay but just pay your bills and take no discounts Me: I never did but I am done. VO: still smiling..where are you visiting Me: mentioned the places and finished with, we will just see as it goes VO: how long are you going for? Me: 5-6 weeks if work permits me VO: Congratulations, your visa has been approved et al. Tell your kids they can pack their bags now…laughs Me: smiling, thank you. Visa picked up! So truly I don’t think it matters if previous visa wasn’t used at all. Also, I filled that I was travelling with my whole family plus hubby o, and 2 nannies. I was told not to fill that, as it might jeopardise my visa. When it was refused, everyone said we told you but I was at peace that I filled the truth though pissed off at the embassy as I felt they were the ones encouraging lies. Not a single question on why I’m travelling with whole family was asked! In all, God came true as always… Thank you all for your assistance…Good luck to all genuine applicants. 12 Likes 1 Share |

chizzybabe26:May God heal your mum. The VO has told you exactly what to do. Get the doctor to send you an estimation of treatment cost and go with your proof of fund that shows you can pay. A substantial deposit might also be of help. 2 Likes |

flourishing247: Good day all, Please people that were called for a follow up interview after IW, when you tracked did your visa status read refused or come for follow-up interview? My visa status reads refused. I have renewed so many times without issues so I’m wondering why this was refused. All events have stayed the same with me except that I didn’t use my last visa at all.. I got it 2019 and planned going 2020 but Covid happened … Can I be refused for not using the visa? Thank you for your anticipated response. |
