I applied for tourists/visiting Visa and did my Biometrics on the 16th of September 2022 .... This is my first try and I received a correspondence letter yesterday to check my portal for a message.,.. like I said before it was about my biometrics information..

People I don't really know much on how to comment here, also I don't really know much about the visa .. please can a good Nigerian add me on WhatsApp and put me true on this...

Please I got a reply for the application yesterday, they asked me to check the portal that they left a message for me... But the message is about my name, address and the validity of my biometric information .... I did my biometrics last year's September....

Please what could this mean, does it mean they are about to work on my visa?

Application submitted in Apr 2021. Sudden BVL received on 4th April 2023. No update again. I sent a webform on 7th April but no update. I sent a mssg yesterday that no decision email after abt 2 wks that I got BVL, then later I got an email "Pls check ur cic portal for the new update"; after dat I got a "donotreply" email, and I logged in to see PPR. (Old portal).

Another May 2022 application (New Portal). BVL came 2 days ago, then also sent an email yesterday to ask why there is no decision after about 48 hrs. I got same pattern of email and logged in to see PPR.

Hello good afternoon, my Visit Visa application was 12, October 2021 and biometrics the next day 13th. Eligibility started in March 2023 ( although I don’t know the exact date but early March) But this afternoon I go an update of “Correspondent Letter “ .

Should one worry or rejoice ?? Because I can’t open the letter .

I checked my old application I submitted since November 2022, it is in eligibility review, I dont know when this started i never received any notification, I have submitted a new one on the IRCC new portal though,
My Question : How long does it take when Eligibility has started, my concern is, the conference is in first week in May, will l be able to meet up?

Your application is in the final stage because your application status shows that your eligibility has started. Also, they started processing your background check.

Because your application is nearing completion, you might want to hold off on submitting a new one, but if you are willing to submit a new one, don't cancel or withdraw your initial application.

info sharing - In Progress - These implies the 5 partner countries ( Canada, UK, Australia, Netherlands &United States) are exchanging information about you. This is a normal security routine check done on prospective immigrants coming into their country either temporarily or permanently. They make use of biometrics details ( which has data of the applicant) and share these with their partners. This is the stage where they detect an applicant that has violated any law, committed a crime, overstayed, denied or given a ban etc.

FCC comprises the above mentioned countries. But, I cant see any issue on your GCMS notes, it is just their normal internal security reviews.

It shows your application is still under active review. FCC means the five country conferences. Simply put, the Canadian authorities are asking information about you from the USA. The reason you see" Ready to be Assessed" USA.

But nothing to be worried about if your travel history is without issues.

I applied through the privacy act route on the 7th of February 2023 and got my GCMS note on March 11, 2023. I can't make any sense of what is there though. I applied on June 30, 2022.

So I applied for a TRV since Nov 2020😐...totally forgot about it since then but now need to go to Canada this summer.. so I want to apply again via the new portal.

Mr. Obazi- Yes applications of those who received the email were approved on 21st January, 2023. That's about 10 days the application was approved.
