I have a feeling, we can become best of friends. I will visit my home town of Awka around November. I would love to meet you( passionate, but come with only one moniker ooo) and perhaps mksinsight ( intelligent, needed to put any government on their toes) and maybe ( mature, he is a worthy ambassador of the state)

I love Anambra and will always want the best for her. We have built a successful society without oil/gas and can do more with it.

With love from me
mktinsight is nowhere near intelligent..

He is just a bitter jobless afonja who dedicated his time for the hatred of Anambra

You posted a table of Nigeria Frontier Basins or Inland Basins ( All other basins in Nigeria, excluding the Niger-Delta Basin). The Inland basins or the frontier basins will benefit from the 30% annual profit of NNPC as passed in PIA for further exploration

Imo state is in Niger-Delta Basin and not one of the Inland Basins as you posted

The word basin in geography means a depression in earth surface and we have this depression around Omambala River, hence Anambra Basin

I hope you know the difference between OPL & OML as used in your table. Most Fields in Anambra East, Anambra West and Ayamelum falls under OPL as shown in your table. The only exception in Anambra state is OML 143 of SEEPCO which straddled into Anambra(Ogbaru), Rivers, Imo and Delta

This guy is trying to explain what he don't understand to another fellow...
The name Anambra basin does not relate to the state... Anambra basin extends to Nasarawa state, ebonyi enugu kogi and parts of Niger state..

Go to the UK and ask them to pull down their ancient, small clay-moulded houses in Manchester and central London. You wouldn't like what happens to you next. We should learn to keep our heritage. Do you think they don't have money to modernise those roofs or pull down the buildings? Instead, they moved to outskirts to build and develop. There are several historic sites in ibadan. The oldest Palace is still there standing.
so that slum is your heritage.. People living in abject poverty should not be a heritage.. Ibadan brown roofs should be demolished..

BREAKING NEWS!!!!!!....

CENTRAL BANK OF NIGERIA FINALLY SIGNED THE CURRENCY_SWAP_DEAL WITH CHINA✍️.

The CENTRAL BANK OF NIGERIA (CBN) have finally signed the currency swap deal we have been expecting for the past 2 years into existence with the Chinese Government.

The importance of this is that since almost 70% of the goods we import come from #China and #Asia and 12% #America why must we use Dollars to transact with China? from now instead of using dollars at N500 to 1dollar to import those goods, we can now buy #Yuan at 47 naira to 1 Yuan and import those stuffs directly.

INSTEAD OF BUYING THESE GOODS IN DOLLARS IN CHINA, WE WILL NOW BUY THEM IN YUAN WHICH IS 5TIMES CHEAPER DOLLARS.....

As usual, another giant stride which Print Media, Electronic Media and Nigerian looters will not report or allow you to understand this victory over supremacy of dollars in our daily lives and economic activities.

Up coming reality is that from tomorrow, try to monitor exchange rate. Some of those guys who hoarded foreign currencies to make gains will off load them in order not to have heart attack over their huge loss arising from the currency swap deal with china.
Dollars and pounds will flood everywhere with no buyers, as the buyers will draw naira from their accounts in banks with presence in China.

MANY NIGERIAN BANKS WILL BE SEEKING TO HAVE THEIR REPRESENTATIVE OFFICE IN CHINA LIKE FIRST BANK SAW TO THE FUTURE AND ALREADY HAVE OFFICE IN CHINA...
INFLATION WILL GO DOWN DRASTICALLY BECAUSE OF THE PRICE OF COMMODITIES

Cc@ #SouthSouthHypeHub
https://www.youtube.com/c/soppotv

You are talking rubbish. What will the cbn use to defend the naira against the yuan..

We couldn't defend dollar even with dollar earnings from crude...

The government should not be encouraging importation

Financial prudence is very key. Aviation is a single digit margin business and requires extremely careful planning and management of load factor costs and step by step growth. A lot of Nigerian operators underestimate the vagaries of fuel prices and maintenance costs and jump in by buying cheap old gas guzzling planes without calculating the future scenario of mounting expenses.

Currently the only impressive operator is Ibom Air which has the right sized relatively new crj 900 jets on limited routes. They followed this up with buying a220 fuel efficient airbus jets recently.

When I read comments on nairaland I don't usually check the moniker. But whenever I read your comment I always know by the state of hatred and negativity you spew.. And also the way you always position yourself as all knowing..

Imagine you compare Ibom air wit 2jet to air peace..

Typical Osu with low thinking let me educate you and your fellow ignoramus liking your m*mu comment. Before the coming of Lagos as an oil producing state last year, Two states of the East Abia and Imo and Ondo of West are the three states producing crude oil outside Niger Delta. The combined output of Imo and Abia for east is less than 30,000bpd while the output of Ondo is 60,000bpd. Last year Lagos was added with the capacity of 40,000 bpd and your fellow Osus on this platform lamented how crude oil is no longer essential because it has been discovered in Lagos the land of people you love to hate. Now 4 litres of crude oil is reported to have been discovered on in a disputed area between Kogi and Anambra to be shared equally, you are bragging probably you forgot that if Kogi is an oil producing state it is still to the advantage of Yoruba people because Kogi west belong to them. You hypocritically (Typical of the Osus) painted Ondo has having only Bitumen thinking everybody on this platform is a villager like you. The way God bless Yorubas, the Osus will just continue to develop B.P for nothing.
Very long epistle of lamentation from the coneheaders..

Lagos is not an oil producing state. If you like cry from yewa to ibarapa.

Travel / Re: Anambra International Airport Roads And Bridges Completed (Video, Photos) by Obdk: 8:20am On Sep 01, 2021
post=105374313:
After 30 years of the first attempt to build an airport in Anambra State at Oba in the present Idemili South Local Government Area failed, the airport, an international airport, finally came on stream on April 30, 2021, Hallelujah.
Such development all over our darling nation is what we want @MANNA.

Prior now, there were unconfirmed stories that wealthy Anambra people, who were enjoying the boom of inter- state land transport business, were sabotaging efforts of successive administrations to build an airport in the state as that, they erroneously believed, would crumble their business.

However, the successful implementation of the project by Governor Willie Obiano 15 months after construction began, has shown that what was lacking in the past was the political will to execute the project.

To say that the multimillion-dollar project came easy would be an understatement as there were initial hiccups, including distractions from the host community, which tried to muscle the state government into making additional concessions even after adequate compensation for the acquired land for the project was paid.

The airport has a four-story terminal building with shops, a ten-floor control tower, and a car pack that can accommodate 750 vehicles. It has 3.7 kilometers runway and it is bigger than any other runway in the country.
The Chief Executive Officer of Air Peace Airlines, Chief Allen Onyema, whose two aircraft were the first to land at the new airport was the first passenger to land.

Already, most of the adjoining land in communities around the airport have been bought by estate developers and trust the people, the value of property in the area has increased tremendously in the past one year.
Thank God for the foresight of some of us @ who purchased properties around the airport at the right time, it is now worth 9 times of what we paid for the various properties years back.

Friday, 30th of April, 2021 would, forever remain a memorable day in the history of Anambra State as it was the day aircraft landed at the new Anambra International Cargo and Passenger Airport. Three aircraft, two belonging to Air Peace Airlines owned by an indigene of Anambra State, Chief Allen Onyema and a private jet, landed at the airport with Governor Obiano and who- is-who in the state on hand to witness the epoch-making event. Expectedly, the airport will be commissioned by the end of 2021 with facilities to handle domestic and international services.

Slow and steady we will get to the country of our dreams.

God bless Anambra State.
God bless all good, sane, honest and hardworking Nigerians.
God bless Nigeria.

We Rise.

WHY IS KOGI DRAGGING OIL IN ANAMBRA RIVERS, DOES THAT MAKE SENSE TO ANYBODY.

THE OIL IS IN ANAMBRA RIVER, NOT KOGI RIVER.

THE BODY OF WATER IS ACTUALLY NAMED ANAMBRA RIVER.

Anambra River basin covers part of delta kogi and enugu..

Its a geologic name,, its not about Anambra State...

Anambra River basin is a rock formation that extends to lafia..
Anambra River basin.. Is very rich in hydrocarbon,
Coal in enugu largest deposit of lignite.
About 1000 trillion cubic feet of untapped gas
Ugwoba gas deposit near awka.
Igbariam gas deposit near onitsha

Anambra River basin have estimated crude deposit of 50 billion or more barrel in reserve..

Mind you this is what I learnt from geology class through seminars and field trips

When will Yorubas wake up and realize that SW deserves more than it currently receives.. There are oil companies and oil fields in Lagos, Ogun, Osun but only Ondo is recognised as oil producing in SW.

The 5 SE states combined fits into Oyo state yet 3 out of the 5 now enjoy 13% derivation for oil producing states while big for nothing SW looks on. What is really going on with Yoruba leaders?
We're just shortchanging ourselves in everything including jobs and public offices in our region. You want to please others while you displease yourself and people.

They will continue to look while they carve out 2 to 3 more states for SE and SW gets nothing. Why are we so docile in the West?? So annoying and painful.

We are not talking about palm oil

No one will land the least 737 in that warehouse called a airport.

Its glaring it can only hold low passenger jets.

Any jumbo that lands in that airport will be at its own risk cos no insurance will take responsibility. That airport can never be certified as safe with that quack and substandard construction.

Anambra state government should just convert it to a worship center or greenhouse farm.
