Hello Everyone, Please permit my question. Has anyone been assessed for procurement manager. I will like to know how he handled his documentation on organizational chart bearing in mind that the company (or companies) worked for will not sign and stamp it to be used for migration purpose. |

Congratulations quote author=paulodangelo post=62132735]To God be the Glory, I arrived Spain. (almost 2 months sha ![]() Thanks for the info on this thread. It was a life saver. Abet people should continue to contribute for others. You never know who you are helping. I also want to add a few suggestions to the topic (for the students); - If you need a part time job, you're better off in the States, England or Canada. You need a passive understanding of Spanish and whole lot of paper work before you see am. Jobs like working in Irish bars, clubs, (maybe cleaning) fit work but your studies might be affected. - CUT YOUR COAT ACCORDING TO THY SIZE. ORINGO, FAAJI PLENTY FOR HERE O. - You want to save , carry your African wakis like ogbono, egusi, ground pepper, cray fish stock come. Unless you want to blow through your money quickly. - Make the best of the experience. It's life changing. -For cheap groceries, Mercadona, Lidl, Carrefour, Dia will serve. Visit them and compare prices. House brands are cheaper but if you buy foreign brands, it could be expensive. - If you in Barcelona, be careful. Pickpockets are in the crowded areas. - The Pakistani and Indians sell lot of African, oriental and carribean groceries. So if you looking for garri, beans, plantains (the markets gave them too) you'll get them there. Finally, YOU'LL ASK YOURSELF WHAT IN HEAVENS NAME IS WRONG WITH NIGERIA. once again to those that started and contributed to the thread, baba God bless you. -
|

Hola, Just a word about the silence, most of the issues raised here have already being trashed in previous threads hence no need to repeat the answers. However to make the place a depository of information, if there is anything that has differed from previous threads of 2015 & 2016 in your recent experience, please share to help other coming on onboard to be abreast. Overall the Spanish student visa process is very tedious and involves a lot of paper work, the only way to stay on course is to start on time and utilize the info shared here to your advantage. Cheers.... ![]() efeturi3: |

Hiya mate As for the PCC you need to translate the doc, both the pink and white copies (including the fingerprints) Ask the consulate if you should translate WAEC. Mine was a PG program and not undergrad. Speaking more generally quite a good number of the questions regarding documentation have been answered previously. If you go through the previous threads you will see how these issues were tackled. mirik: |

paulodangelo: You don't need your sponsor's account for legalization that is for visa application. If you go through previous threads you will see the docs needed for legalization. Better still drop an email to the consulate incase requirements have changed. |
![]() |
efeturi3: Hiya Just read your email in more detail. Inform your school about it and the exorbitant fees involved may be there is a leeway, may be they need a notarized copy to confirm your admission. Else if the legalized copy still leave your admission chances 50:50, it becomes very much challenging. Alternatively you can look for other schools because this is very strange to subject your admission to legalization and not visa. |

Schonebaby: I think you should apply first and once you get your visa, he can apply afterwards. On the name of the passport, I do not think it is an issue as long as you provide your marriage certificate. Lastly, check with the Spanish consulate if you have to apply through them or via the agency. This is because your stay is 90 days which is regarded as short stay and often not handled by the consulate but an agency (used to be VFS) Alternatively students visa are handled by the consulate |

Oma1358: Hiya, I agree with you... everyone probably gets to that "gaga" point, however I think you must strategize to make the most out of your time. Look at thread 1 by 1andonly, you will have enough info to help you pull through. You can put together all the documents in 2-3 weeks without moving out of Abuja and then come to Lagos for your legalization. You can inbox me if you have any other specifics. Cheers |

Oma1358: Hiya @oma1358, Yes you are right, the Spanish visa process is very tedious, however if you follow through the steps thoroughly on documentation, you will minimize your margin of error and cost. In addition to avoiding mistakes in documentation, I will advise you start your process at least 3.5 months before your resumption date. Your certificate may be subject to investigation and this takes around 2 months (this varies though). Some of us that applied last year were caught off guard by this and we resumed late in our program. Not sure sure what assistance you need in Barcelona, but should it be accommodation , you can reach out to the contact person in your school who can share places where students have lived previously (that was how I got by) Unfortunately I am not in Barcelona but I hope this helps! ![]() Cheeers 1 Like |

peterpeteru:
You should be able to sort it out when you get to the immigrations |
![]() |
peterpeteru:First, I trust you are a Nigerian else not much I can do. Go to the immigration service closest to where you live. You should be able to do your passport there. I reckon that if your company is sponsoring you, they will provide you with all the back up docs. In any case if it is a short stay of 90 days or less you will have to go through the Spanish authorized agent for short stay (used to be VFS). They will share all the details you need.if your stay is longer then you have to go through the Spanish consulate in Lagos. Previous threads here will help you with most of the info you need. Congrats and all the best in your new role 1 Like |

Skelewudprince: Hiya Skelewudprince My approach is different! First check the cost between both options and if there is not much difference, I suggest you go for a return ticket as insurance in case things do not smile your way after your studies. In my case I bought a return ticket for same purpose. Also with our naira weakening daily and tightening immigration laws around Europe, it will be tough for me spending additional days when nothing is in the offin. I hope this helps ![]() |

kwenu:Tough question but I will try As per school you will have to do that search on your own to identify the school fitting for your budget and course. Google knows everything ![]() In the case of visa processing it takes between 3 to 4 months. Go through earlier threads because you have enough information regarding the requirements for visa. You will have to apply through the Spanish consulate and not through VFS. For WAEC and NECO, it best you contact the admission officer in your school of choice but I reckon you are better off with WAEC. All the best! |

Skelewudprince: Hiya Skelewudprince, I didn't use uniplaces for my accomodation. However, the issue is that there is a freeze on Naira debit cards on all foreign transactions due to fx crunch . Best is to open a dorm account here in Nigeria, buy Euros, pay into it and use it to make your payments (please note charges apply). In any case you can still use it when you are here in Spain by transferring from your dorm account into your Spanish account when you arrive. You also have the option of opening a dollar account in Nigeria. This affords you the opportunity to having and using a dollar debit card which you can use both for online transactions and ATM withdrawals when you arrive here in Spain. Hope this helps! ![]() 1 Like |

1andonly: Well I will say nothing has changed from the steps described earlier. The only thing I will mentioned again! again!! and again!!! is to start early at least 3.5 months before your intended date of travel. Be sure to have visited the embassy for legalization 3.5 months before your travel date. Whilst by timeline I did mine in less than 3 months my bane was visiting 2 months before my travel date. Had I visited at least a month earlier the situation would have been different. Also worthy of mentioning is that you have to gather all your docs before this 3.5 months period. 1 Like |

mayblossom: Hiya @mayblossom.. As per CTC yes you will have to do that in your school you can send a photocopy, however these requirements were stipulated by the embassy for us who want to leave Nigeria for Spain (for studies)... Your case is quite new but at the same time very interesting because you already live in Spain and want to study further in the same country... do you need all of these documentation as though you are applying from Nigeria... Please help us understand better |
![]() |
zendman: Hey Hey Bro, Wow perhaps I was fortunate... perhaps my school put a lot of pressure on the embassy not sure which one now... but most definitely God's favour... however just hang in there bro, I am sure you will get something positive soon. Just a word of advise because you will be resuming late... try and see if you can access any of your class mates in school and start getting some info regarding courses done, lecture notes, possible dates for assignments and submission. Also contact your school if they can share recorded session of the lectures with you because this will help. If you guys have a WhatsApp group then it is ok, else you can take the initiative to create one (WhatsApp is quite popular here) As you know I resumed late into my program and it has taken the heck out of me to catch up with a lot of sleepless nights (In fact I haven't yet)... while the school obviously will be supportive of your plight... they may not influence the school calendar just because of you. As you can imagine I only arrived Zaragoza over a week ago and will be having mid term exam in less than two weeks, first project proposal in another six weeks and in the by Feb will be having preliminary defense.... I know this may be too much as you are psychologically down to do such because of visa, but please I will advise you start seeking option of catching up while you are here in Nigeria so you do not have loose a lot of sleep like me ![]() Lastly, Zaragoza is a cool city and the people here are very friendly and willing to help... if not for the stress of classes, assignments and studies, I am really enjoying my time here.... and thanks for asking. Again just hang in guys, it will surely end up in praise 3 Likes |

Skelewudprince:Hiya Skelewedprince I don't know if it will be accepted, however I know you can submit a sponsor's account. I was asked when I went to the embassy but I mentioned self sponsorship. Do not take my word for it but if you have some one pay in money into your account I think it is OK. I also have a gut feel that you are better off with self sponsorship than otherwise. However if your uncle bears same surname as you then you chances are not slim. During my time I had some one pay in money into my account although not much. But it is a normal practice in all visa application as long as you are smart about it 1 Like |

zendman: Hiya zendman, if you followed the thread from 1andonly at the start, you will see it stated and the guys that applied then were told to make sure it was included. I also insisted when I went to do my medicals that it be included. You can try but I have noticed that as much as you can reduce your margin of error you are better off in this whole visa thingy. |
![]() |
ManCiCi1: Not sure this will help I also think you can turn it around in that period, I hear of an Alhaji guy around SON that can do translation in 3-5 days, medical certificate can be issued in a day 1 Like 1 Share |

zendman: Hiya zendman, please check very well, I hear there is Spanish holidays tomorrow, check it is regional or public |
![]() |
ManCiCi1: I did disturb them with e mail but not during submission of visa, it was mostly during to the long wait for legalization, so I reckon they got used to seeing my name on e mail. I will say God's grace and favour because I did not submitted an original contract for my accommodation and also did not photocopy some of my translated documents. Also worthy of mentioning is my school's intensified efforts in speaking to both the consulate here in Lagos and Madrid to hasten my visa hence it came out in 8days. You could also speak to your school to help you contact the consulate (although I did not ask, my school took it upon themselves to do so). Just keep faith bro it will surely end in praise. 1 Like |

Skelewudprince: Hiya Bro, just to add to zendman's contribution. You will have to do another PCC if this one will expire before visa application and you will authenticate and legalize it, however you will only have to do for the pink copy... No need to take fresh finger prints |
