Hi everyone, please is it possible to get one's passport back the next day after visa approval in Abuja? I mean like interviewing on Thursday and getting it the passport on Friday.
I'm asking coz I will be having my interview in Abuja though I stay in Lagos. I'm considering using Abuja as pickup location so I will just wait behind to collect the passport instead of leaving immediately and waiting for them to send it to Lagos. Please has anyone done this? Kindly share your experience. Thank you.
yes, very possible.

V/O: please pass my your I-20 and your passport. Types for almost 2 minutes while I peruse her office.

V/O: (pauses typing and looks at me fully in the eyes) please tell me why you chose this university and this program.

Me: (looks at her fully too) I chose this university because the curriculum is tailored to meet my career goals as it offers me a blend of agriculture, economics and technology. Also, I have developed a good student-faculty relationship with the department plus I got funding.
(spends some minutes typing)

V/O: yeah, I can see some funding here. Who is Mr and Mrs Bleep...

Me: (I completed the names for her.) Mr and Mrs XXXX are my parents.

V/O: What are you doing now?

Me: I work as a Data Annotator with XXXX where I label and classify data from the industrial sector, agricultural sector, e-commerce and other sectors of the economy.

V/O: what do you intend to do with this degree?

Me: this degree will act as a spring board for me to launch my career as an agritech research scientist with the International Institute for Tropical Agriculture here in Nigeria. I have liaised with them and the minimum qualification I need for this role is a PhD in Agricultural Economics.

She didn't hear the name of the organization and I had to repeat it thrice.

V/O: I have approved your visa....

Please my people help me review. The issue on my I-20 has been updated. Please how’s it now? My COA is 46k$ in school website but here on I-20 is 42$k. I provided family funds because of my deficit of 3k$ using the COA on school website. Please should I tell them to remove family funds on my I-20 because it’s obvious I had $600 surplus from the dept funding and the COA from the I-20. Please kindly advise. Thanks

I was there that day June16, 7am too. It was a horrible experience, it was like being on a queue to be slaughtered and you can’t run anywhere but only move forward. I was desperately praying for any other person apart from that white man. I wasn’t lucky, he didn’t even give one a chance. Rejection straight. It was so sad. I intend to reapply, but this appointment date thing is giving me a headache. When you prepare transcripts, prepare bank statement, prepare outfit and the rest. Don’t forget to pray for grace too. Because some consulars act almost inhuman. I will share my testimony soon too.

Congratulations!!!
