Email IOM to request for your medical report. In the same email, ask them in whether they have transmitted your medical result to the IRCC and when. This is just to confirm.

But I'm sure IOM must have transmitted it. It's IRCC that are yet to update it on your dashboard. I learned here that it does not matter whether or not IRCC have updated it as everything may be done together with BVL and PPR.

I used my own LOA for my kid... i uploaded mine for her. Admissions are secured when you get there and have an apartment... because an address is needed to put them in schools close to home..(for public schools) they are put in schools according to their age so basically your kids will go down a class below their present class now. It’s not Primary or Secondary... It’s Elementary ( 1st - 6th grades) Junior high (7th-9th grades) and Senior high..(10th-12th grade). School age is 6 for 1st Grade so check your kids age and know where they will be.

2. You can apply for study permits for all of them.

3. The US citizen doesn't need any visa application (except if you want to apply for a study permit for her). She can get a visitor record at the port of entry.

As regards the Study Permits for kids, how can admissions be secured for them into primary and secondary schools in Canada?

I'm asking because I don't know what to fill in that part of the Study Permit Form for two kids, one in primary school and the one in secondary school (JSS class). Because the form is not validating as I left that part empty.

Basically, I want to if it is compulsory for the kids to have LOA too from primary and secondary schools in Canada.

I hope this is not an argument on which one is better because the Canadian system I would say is the best of all.

It would be important to note why, Canada understands that most people are coming to their schools as a route to future immigration, their immigration plan is centered around skills so they try to merge these two.

UK is a completely saturated economy with no clue on how to fix their economy (always blaming it on the prime ministers), cost of education dwarfs that of Canada and you are not sure what they will do with you at the end of the day. Prospects when you graduate are low, the last UK citizen has to be employed before you stand a chance, and to gain a stay, you will pass through a lot of frustration. Your kids will remain second class in their environment for many years. It will never be my choice country (I’ve spent some time there)

The US is like a quick judgement, you have no idea what the VO’s considers during their approval or refusal (I’ve experienced both). You might think you have repackaged your application again only to just get a thirty seconds session and you are on another denial. That said, the US is a big country with better opportunities than Canada and a blindfolded man can make a living but also the immigration route is not straight forward. You may not visit your home country for 10years before you finally get your stay. It probably is also not my choice country for personal reasons.

I hope we understand that if you have all your documentations properly sorted, have enough resources and consistency in your story, you are better off with Canada than with UK or US.

The eyeglasses/contact lenses instruction is usually for medicals if you wear them not really for biometrics capturing though i had to take off my glasses during my capturing.

I think she's fine if she was cleared and given her Biometrics slip so let her relax.

I had my biometrics capturing since July 14th, it's over a month and it's yet to be updated as passed. It is only reflecting on my dashboard as successfully transmitted to IRCC but yet to be updated as passed like my medicals.

Honestly, if we don't have faith we don't need to be doing anything at all because nothing is sure in this life.

I have seen someone who went to through a recruitment process, passed all the interviews, given a letter of appointment, but the letter of appointment was retracted a week after and the process was cancelled. They started the application process all over again, the guy wasn't selected again, but about 6 people who never applied for the job in the organization were selected among the 30 people that were selected eventually. All of them are working currently in the organization.

My point is that our lucks are different. What doesn't work generally might work for some people. Someone just commented up there that he has seen someone who is above 40 and got an approval.

So, people should try their lucks by faith and be ready for the consequences of their actions.

Like me now, I just submitted my application on August 4, 2022 but I still believe my family application will be approved, in sha Allah, before my resumption date on September 8, 2022. That's faith and I'm fully ready for whatever outcome, positive or negative, I get eventually.

No single Update for over 12 weeks. after this days I started sending mails every 2 days and a good Muslim friend that I met on this forum God bless him for me, he has been helping since last year with lot of encouragement and guides, for like 3 months we haven't chatted my mind just say I should chat him ooo and give him update on my application. What I did differently, I changed my school and my course, Master in Accounting. I did Accounting in Bsc and ND. Also work in that area. For the travel, renewed my Germany visa in January and travelled in Feberuary. My wife and I visited Dubai for 5days during the Eid-Fitr Muslim Holiday and arrived Nigeria May 5th. I explained these in my Letter of explanation. the reason for changing course and to further strengthen my travel assertions. have travelled to all these country without violating any immigration laws. All in all.. It can ONLY be GOD. Let me also add that I Just resumed another new job today ooo Double blessings....Alhamdulilah for everything.

Recently, we have seen that people can enter Canada months before resumption of class. But have it in mind that it's not worth it if;

1). You don't have family to stay with
2). You won't need to pay for house rent
3). You won't need to feed yourself

I assure you that no need wasting the precious money you have coming here early cos you can't start work until your class resumes. So you will end up spending the one you have. I must tell you, without work, coming here on time is a waste.

What of the spouse with SOWP?

Deferring won't invalidate your Visa. All you need do is update IRCC. How long do you intend to defer your admission?

But note it that when you get to your first POE, due your deferral, IRCC may not give you study permit beyond the expiration of your counterfoil. If that's the case and your course extends beyond the counterfoil/study permit date, you will need to apply for study permit extension, 150days before the expiration of your permit.

I'm pained, downcast and highly disappointed in fellow Nigerians. I tried the "retrieve my application option" from my agent , but I was met with a brick wall. She didn't submit any application as it were. And to think we have been on it for more than a year is equally annoying. I already differed the admission once, I'm supposed to pay tuition deposit on or before August 27th and this. I would have handled it myself if I had known how. I paid an outrageous amount for her non-existent service. I even went for biometrics and upfront medical ( I had a severe ulcer attack on that day, that could have lead to a life threatening situation). She dashed my hope just like that, I'm sobbing badly and there's no one to console me as my husband is not around. Why would you do such to another person? The answer can't be greed, but pure witchcraft. Up till yesterday evening, she kept maintaining that all that is left is a response from IRCC on decision. My sponsor will never take me seriously again. It's indeed a very wicked world and the wait of more that a year has ended in sad tears for me

But my question is if there was no application at all, how did you then get the IRCC Number you used to book your biometrics?

I am suspecting your agent didn't give you the correct details you need.

I think you should arrest her as advised by some people here and ask the Police to get you your log in details from her. Because, I don't know the effect of having two applications if she has already applied.

I have been in contact with IRCC this afternoon about the statuses of your families applications and I do have some updates. All three applications are still within standard processing times.

Your application has been received and is being processed in the Nairobi Visa Office. You have passed your Criminality Assessment, no other Assessments have been started yet. There are no out standing documents on file.

Your husband’s application has also been received and is processing in the Nairobi Office. He passed his criminality as well. No other assessments have been started. There are no out standing documents.

Your daughter’s application was also received and is processing in the Nairobi Office. Her Criminality Assessment is in progress and no other assessments have been started. There are no out standing documents here either.

I will follow up with IRCC about the status of these applications again in 4 weeks and update you accordingly."

However, when checked my dashboard, the background check is yet to be updated.
