Wife of the President, Aisha Buhari has condoled
with
residents of Benue State, who were displaced by
the flood
which ravaged many communities in the state
last week,
donating relief materials to them.
Buhari’s delegation to the Internally Displaced
Persons (IDP)
camp at the Benue State capital was led by the
wife of
Nasarawa State governor, Mairo Al-Makura.
Represented by Mairo Al-makura, the president’s
wife
sympathised with the dsiplaced people who were
mostly
women and children, donating to them food and
non-food
items.
The heavy downpour, which hit Benue State a
week ago has
left more than 100,000 people displaced, over
2,000 homes
ravaged and many hectares of farm lands
destroyed.

Also, the Minister of Health, Professor Isaac
Adewale wduring
a visit to the camp certified the medical facility
set up for the
victims, describing them sas suitable to contain
any scare of
diseases outbreak.
The medical facility was jointly set-up by the
Nigerian Airforce
and the Benue State government to relief the
victims of the
flood.
