Did you read what I stated? Arsenal have already won the Premier League before they went unbeaten. Arsenal had superstars before going unbeaten. While Bayer Leverkusen were in relegation zone when Xabi Alonso took over. It is not the same in anyway. To transform that club from a relegation zone team to winning the league unbeaten is remarkable.

It is not by rhetorical question.
It is remarkable but it is not unheard of. The Arsenal invincibles is held in higher esteem, that's a fact. Thank you

Being verbally abusive won't help you. You can make your points without cheap abuse.

It remains a mystery to me how people will watch this and say it is not thrilling.

When Zidane coached, is it individualistic flair his team was playing? Is it not possession football?
Only you claims possession football alienates flair.

Oh I remember not only you, but your baldie and his minions

When you watch a game today, it is not a one player thing. It is about dealing with the set ups. The press, playing out of a press. Outnumbering the midfield block, opening half spaces etc.

If you watch football from this perspective it gets so thrilling.

Remember, when Alex Ferguson met Guardiola in two Champions League finals, his team could hardly touch the ball. Let alone keep it. That is even 2009 and 2011, let alone today with so much advancement.
Only a jaundiced fellow will call the cheap knock offs of Guardiola something thrilling

Xabi Alonso took Leverkusen to win the Bundesliga without losing a match. Michel Sanchez took Girona from the lower league to punch among the big dogs like Real, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid.

Gaps are closing.

I have seen wolves press and cause my team, Manchester City trouble.

It is no more like the past where we have big dogs and small dogs. The gap is closing and this is due to Tactical growth.

The joy in football is no more technical but tactical.

Ronaldinho and their likes should go and do their badges and coach the Samba let us see.
Xabi is not the first to go unbeaten, tone down the platitudes. When Wenger did it, his players were not robotic

Fairy tale runs by smaller clubs didn't start recently. Charles was right to ask rhetorically, did you just start watching football?

What if it changes for the worst? They must restore the number 10. They made football special. Only that ten was like the sun around which the entire solar system of football revolved. They removed the ten, now darkness has fallen upon the game.

In the past the ten was the embodiment of skill, excitement. He was the conductor, that's why football borrowed the word maestro from music and applied it to the ten. Defenders, attackers, wingers were never described as maestros, only the ten.
I shudder to imagine it worse than what it is now. God abeg

That would be true if they played the same position. Ronaldinho played with Messi under Rijkaard. So it was not a case of emerging talent. Tactically it was not going to fly. Ronaldinho's style of play would not have fit into the kind of possessive control Pep aimed for.
It is that satanic possessive control that has ruined things now. It has hypnotized many so much so they can't think on their own. Shoddy copycats

It did not fly over my head. It is one of the reasons I posted it. The demand for tactical strictness today makes it difficult for players with flair to easily shine.
The demand is the problem. That is what we are kicking at

Don't miss my point. I am not saying Ronaldinho won't be good. He will be a bright talent. But, won't operate on that stellar level as he did in the past. The space will limit that.
grin The space from who? His own teammates or the opponent

I said they will. Why do you think Ronaldinho was first kicked out of Barcelona by Pep Guardiola? He was not going to work with the system or against it.

You can't waste time with ball. That is what the space and time theory is all about.
So because he wasn't going to work with the system means he is lesser than those who could abi

Ronaldinho et al aren't fit or physically strong? cheesy grin I no de surprised

Funny this is coming from Bielsa. One of those who perfected the art of defending with a hard press.

I said technical players is not what is causing less flair in football but how good defending is today.

Bielsa is one of those that caused it. Slacken how tight defending is and you will see flair in the game return.
It has NOTHING to do with tight defending. It has everything to do with coaches being a slave to the science of football.

Nothing in this Euros has proved high defensive acumen rather it has exposed the low quality of football sense.

On the contrary,

There will still come a time when football will be more enjoyable than this era.
Nothing last or remain the same forever.
Tikitaka or whatever that is being played now will come and go.

They will still come a generation with well refined skills and flair,or whatever it would evolve to be in the modern times,
that would dominate the game and make it more enjoyable.

It's just a matter of time.
All it takes is for one coach to succeed with group of talented players with advanced skills,
others will start copying.
I hope so. Change is inevitable
