However, if there is something much bigger behind it, then I would suspect Israel before anybody else. From poll results, Biden has closed down on Trump with independents. Israel will be desperate to have Trump in power in order to guarantee support for at least four years. They will be ready to do anything to achieve that. If Biden restricts military aid to Israel and wins the election. Israel will have no other option than to stop the war.

Israel is good at these things. And countries at war do desperate things. e.g. Ukraine (Another conspiracy for another day). Israel could have orchestrated this to boost Trump's chances. The details of how it might have been planned IDK. It's just my theory. A reasonable one.

Well, the truth will be sacrificed first and we'd never know.
