Phones / A Tale Of Two Phones by OFides: 2:41pm On Nov 28, 2016
I am in a Charles Dickens mood today, so here goes my tale wink

Two days ago, my sister and I were returning from a praise concert we'd attended.
As we got home she got out of the car to help with the gate, and then we heard a thud.
The phone had fallen onto the pavement, the madam just shrugged and had that 'odeshi' expression- apparently, in her mind her phone was stronger than the pavement made of concrete.

Three minutes later as I walked into the house, a sober face was staring back at me; long story- phone had actually cracked (humpty-dumpty shey?) If it wasn't so NOT funny, I would have laughed, I tell you!
And I also tried very hard not to do the 'I-told-you-so' talk. It was haaaard.

So, to celebrate my found phone-love, here are SIX things about the PHANTOM 6 that have made every penny worth the buy!

1. Three (3) Month Insurance For Broken Screen
The folks at TECNO offer a one-time free screen replacement when it's broken by falling or crashing within the first 3 months of purchase (Provided you have the invoice). Ha! Tell me somewhere else where you can get a juicier deal.

2. 24-hour Fast Repair
When you purchase the Phantom 6, You are offered a 24hrs fast repair service for transceiver under warranty against functional defects.

3. Free Tamper Proof Glass
With every Phantom 6 you purchase, you are gifted with 2 tamper proof glass. No more buying 'screen protector'. Haha! Plus the one that comes with the Phantom 6 is ebeanosmiley meaning I shall not be having any humpty-dumpty episodes with mine grin

4. Five (5) Days DAP Free Exchange
Should incase your Phantom 6 develops a functional defect within the first 15 days of purchase, you would be offered a phone exchange at no extra cost upon validation by Carlcare service center (Provided you have the invoice)
**Need I say more?

5. Free Sim Card Slot Pin
For every Phantom 6 you purchase, no need to search for sim card slot pin as it comes with your device, free of charge.
See ehn! the struggle to remove your sim and insert it can be real for someone like me who is learning daily to be more patient (Amen?!)
So.. to think that 'em folks at TECNO gave thought to this seemingly tiny detail just says a lot about them! No more huffing and puffing in the name of slotting Sim card!!

6. Free Type C Adapter
This is the mother of all the goodies this phone offers:
In-case you lose or damage your original USB cord, you are gifted with an adapter that allows you to use regular USB cords to charge your device

So, here are my top 6 features for today (as I uncover more, I'll share)
Now, over to y'all, if you have experienced the Phantom 6/6 PLUS or are currently experiencing it, what are your personal favorite things about 'em #BeautyandBeast?

**PS: Because I don't trust y'all not to come rushing for my head in the comments, I decided not to share what brand my sister's phone was undecided

Me, I like Chigurl alooot! I won't even front! SHE IS FUNNY!
I followed her story and read that she's come through a lot and grown..like the people at TECNO and their brand (the phones too). Haha!
It's only fitting that they belong together abeg.

Once in a while someone comes into your life and changes everything. Raises your standards, make you laugh, and makes your time here on earth worth the while. And even though you may not be together you feel like you never want to let them go.

I have been hearing about the theme #MySpecialOne being championed by TECNO Mobile, as a passive audience I was indifferent about the concept; but when I had an accidental look at the philosophies behind the MySpecialOne theme on their website, it dawned on me that life can only be worth living when we show love; receive love and constantly be-in-love…I definitely needed to refocus my perception.

The idea of finding that #MySpecialOne is a common quest all around the world. When eventually we do; our world stops! We become born again! We see the world around us differently! We experience a certain kind of joy we’ve never felt before; we find peace!!!

Regardless of who that MySpecialOne is to me one thing is for sure, I am definitely not ashamed of flaunting and showing the world who they are. MySpecialOne

Yaay! these #myspecialone memes be spreading!
Let Nairalanders embrace 'em already so they can spread like wildfire, as all good things should..

I'm making one (or two? or three?) of these already. smiley

Yes!
I saw it too..

I like what they did there, painting the Phantom6 experience to be more than just using a (cold?) sleek gadget.
They've given it some 'warmth' by making it synonymous with friendships, beautiful relationships..

Hello, I'm sorry it took me a while to reply.
The post I put out was for therapy- people who need to speak with professional Therapists, because I had read quite a number of stories of people needing that kind of help.
However, If you have a post (with evidence for the surgery), I could help spread the word and we'd help in ways we can.

I want to be sure that I'm not reading you wrong: you think seeing a therapist =a pity jamboree?
I think movies do great injustice to them (and their roles)..
*shrugs
But what if starting a business or getting a new job is not the solution, or one that merely scrapes the surface of the troubles she has? What if she's the one messing up those jobs?

byvan03:

If they continue laying you off then it's time to start your own business. I don't know what a pity jamboree will achieve except of course the shrink is offering a new job. Am not here to discredit you, all am saying is that I won't see a shrink if it's free because I know how to find my solutions and swift too. Nothing to back and forth about.

Maybe these American movies have spoiled market for therapists, No?
Many people think all therapists do is get you lie on the couch and just be talking.
Dunno.
What do y'all think?

Just before you go on to read this post, I thought I'd ask:
How do people generally deal with depression or those issues that 'oyinbo' people see therapists for, in this side of the world (Naija?)

Someone's life may just depend on it

This morning, it was on the news that someone committed suicide because he didn't have anymore money to pay rents and feed his family, meanwhile we're still grieving with the family of the banker who shot himself because he couldn't pay back that money and the bank was on his neck.

Domestic violence hasn't been on the low, people! (see: NOI polls). There are still many scary stories, and what's worse? we hear the economic situation in Naija is becoming a very strong factor.
A hungry man is an angry man shey?
(There's no excuse for domestic violence biko nu).

There are many more sad scenarios, but this post isn't about making you cry or saying 'eyah pele'
IT IS ABOUT HOPE! IT IS ABOUT FINDING A WAY OUT...

If you feel soo sad and that all the pressures (no money, no job, no hope on the horizon) are choking you in every time you think about them, or you're not feeling very safe with your husband or boyfriend (this could be vice-versa too) or 'uncle' or madam sef, because someone's beating you to a pulp or emotionally shredding you to pieces or there's rape, some critical life issue or that addiction (porn, drugs, to name a few) that keeps you feeling totally hopeless and helpless?
