As long as your flight has 1stop in the schenghen area, you need a transit visa.

How can one get accomodation for a couple in Kingston upon Hull?
We are looking for a studio flat and most of them are either not accepting couples or fully booked on viewings.
6months upfront rent within reasonable budget is not an issue, but my naija blood needs to see what I am paying for.

Well, going by their timeline, i got my visa in 15workdays after my biometrics.

I got a mail on the day of biometrics saying my application had been transferred to ukvi.

So guys i feel you can avoid paying for walk in by starting your application early.

This is what I mean. Starting the visa application say 2 weeks before your POF matures .
Pay for IHS and Visa fee then select biometrics appointment date which will be 2weeks ahead.

In 2 weeks time when your statement matures. Print the statement and upload all documents

Then go for your normal appointment.

I'm not so sure how long the application is valid after creating the account but I think you will have about 2 weeks to complete that. So it should work.

By the way, You are free to criticize this. Let me hear what you think

You are absolutely correct. No visa application is complete until it has been transferred to UKVI.
No transfer until you have done biometrics.
To do your Biometrics, you need to have uploaded your documents.
Completing the questionnaire on the gov.uk website is just a part of the process.....

I had to reprint my POF a day before my biometrics and I have my VISA....the date I got for standard after completing my application was more than 31days after paying my VISA fees thus rendering my intial statement useless.

I use GTBank. I generated the signed and stamped copy from the app and uploaded it. No issues.

Book an air BnB with free cancellation in your Hubby's name. I used booking.com

In your application, put only the school's address (not a hostel name) as where you will be staying.
And add the air BnB as the other place you will be staying.

On your Hubby's application, put only the air BnB as where he will be staying.

Attach the booking receipt or invoice to both applications.

REASON - School accomodations are single, they do not allow spouses or dependants.

Thats how I did mine and we both got our VISAs

It can be. I used mine along with my Naira account to achieve my POF. As long as it is in your name / Parents name.

Last I checked, Ethiopia is on the red list and all these carriers must stop in their country before proceeding to their final destination.

If you are going on a student visa, do not use them.

Thanks for ur response. But how can it be normal? They wrote ‘work restricted’ in my wife’s dependant visa. I taught is suppose to be unrestricted work so she can work without restrictions. Pls I need clarification from anyone Thank u.

Please state the complete quote.....there are certain jobs that a dependant cannot do and that is what is stated there.....not number of hours like the main applicant
