what a joke. Wiz played at the wireless festival and you say he got a white fanbase? Hey 9ice played at Mandela's birthday party filled with thousands of whites in London and broadcast all over the world about ten years ago or so but how many whites know 9ice? That's a festival and there are a whole lot if artistes on the billing wizkid was just one of them. Just like the Coachella and so many other festivals . You know nothing about the music business so shut the crap. Wizkid did a song with Beyonce but how many units did it sell? Hey go check. That Beyonce album with African artistes was a flop in terms of sales. Was there even a video? Majek fashek was big in the 90s in the US in the 90s if not for drugs. Was wizkid in Drakes one dance video? Stop celebrating mediocrity. Nigerian artists are big in Africa. Yes. However been big in the USA is a different matter.there are lots of k-pop artists who are big really big in South Korea but no one knows them in the USA. The USA is the biggest music market and every musician wants a piece. American artistes don't give a damn about wizkid or your davido. The reason some black American artistes are supporting Nigerian artistes is a form of going back to their roots and a form of African solidarity. Not because they need African artistes to sell. Wizkids part in one dance was almost wiped of his voice heavily autotuned. So what's the value there? Hey and what certifications does fall have in the USA? How many units did it sell? Did it go platinum in America or even gold? Don't fool yourself

Lol. I was right afterall from the first instance. You guys are chronic haters and you can't even hide your insecurities.

What you said about Wizkid's contribution to One Dance and the fact that you coveniently overlooked what I said Spotify in that post of mine says a lot about who you are.

And no, dunderhead, you don't know shit about the music industry. I can school you from now till eternity but I won't waste my time on an obvious insecure hater like you.

The post is originally about Sinach but somehow, you guys have been masturbating all over the thread with the name of Wizkid and Davido due to your hate and bitterness even when they have absolutely nothing to do with the OP.

Please go get a life and f**k off my mentions.

yh, but i don't think any artist song is as popular as waymaker. ..many prominent artist do sing it from hillsong to M.Smith
although ppl don't know her much like davido or wizkid, i think they know her songs more...
Just watched a stadium full performance in brazil nd ppl were singing along..same with spain nd Indonesia, but i doubt they know her

I am not even trying to say she's not very big or anything. Sinach is a rare gem for Nigeria as she is repping us well outside Africa. I don't have anything against her.

My grouse is with those that had to needlessly bring in talks about Wizkid, Davido etc when the thread really has nothing to do with them.

We can all appreciate Sinach and pass on. No need to insult other artistes. I have noticed that crappy attitude is quite common among Africans.

Sinach is big in the US amongst the white market. So many big US gospel artistes have covered waymaker which is still one of the biggest gospel songs in the US right now! How many US artistes have covered a davido song? All Nigerian afrobeat artistes do is beg US artistes for a feature and they pay them. Also Davido wizkid are more popular among Africans in diaspora. How many whites do you see at a davido concert in the US apart from Nigerians in diaspora? Don't fool yourself. If you are the biggest artist in Africa you should be able to garner 500m views on YouTube with no stress. Africa has got 1b people. Most people have andriod phones now and can view on YouTube easily than before

"So many US gospel artists"

Lol. Dude, Wizkid has been featured by Drake and Beyonce (Two of the biggest artistes in the world). I mean they literally called him up by themselves and paid him with their own money for features. You must be completely delusional if you think artistes like Wizkid or Davido will be begging for collaborations.

And did you just say whites don't listen to Wizkid and Davido? Lol. Go and read about the certifications and charting history of Fall and Come Closer by Davido and Wizkid respectively.

You can also check out Wizkid's performance in UK wireless Festival (80% white audience) in 2017 and his performance in the shows of Future and Drake in 2017 and 2019 respectively. If you are ignorant about something, you try to brush up your knowledge about it instead of coming to a public forum like this and making wrong claims.

Saying you should be able to have 500M views on a single song on YouTube if you are the biggest artist in Africa is another ignorant claim by you. Do you think data is cheap in Africa like it is in the West? You want to compare the way Oyinbos with access to very cheap data will stream songs to how Africans will?

And even at that, Wizkid has over 2 billion combined streams on Spotify (a much more credible platform than YouTube), the highest ever for an African artist. I don't even think Sinach has up to 500M on the same platform.

I like Sinach and her music but this rubbish attitude of trying to pull down young Afro-pop dons like Wizkid, Davido, Burna boy etc just to elevate your favourites needs to stop.

The thread is solely about Sinach but you guys out of envy and bitterness had to bring in talks about Wizkid, Davido etc. You can just appreciate Sinach and move on without throwing jabs at other artistes.

Way maker has 148 million views on YouTube. I don't think any of the Davido's or Wizkids have so much views for all their songs combined, yet they won't let us hear word. Our Gospel singers are doing so well globally, but just not blowing their trumpets, which is good anyway
Stop saying nonsense. Always ensure you know what you are saying before putting them out to the public in a forum such as this.

Davido's Fall has over 160 million views on YouTube. Wizkid's Come closer also has combined over 100 million views on YouTube.

And Both Wizkid and Davido have higher combined streams for their respective total songs on YouTube than Spinach.

And don't let me even get started with more credible streaming platforms like Spotify, Apple Music etc because they blow her out of the water there. As a matter of fact, YouTube views aren't even that credible as they could be bought.

Of course, Sinach is doing well and putting Nigeria on the map at the international stage, but you don't have to pull down those young dons just to praise her.

You don't have to bring others down to appreciate some. It's a terrible mentality.

Bro most people here on nairaland mostly like chernobyl and found it very good, only a selected few who did not like it.

Doom patrol was only hyped by you alone...it was trash. I don't know why it was renewed for a second season. Lol. I guess doom patrol was renewed for mainly DC fans only ..lmao..which I know you are.

Go on Twitter and see the review for money heist.. It been mostly positive reviews so far. Most people find it entertaining, it's one of those shows you binge watch and be tense from the beginning till the very end.

Only you found chernobyl boring.. Now you calling money heist equally boring ? Seriously? It been a long time since anything historically accurate like chernobyl has been produced...

And oh by the way you also thrash talk "when the see us.."

LOL.

I don't mean to meddle into whatever it is going on between you and the other guy but I just want to chip this in.

I believe the major grouse of many people (including me) with Money Heist is that outside its entertainment value, the show falls flat.

To me, what makes an excellent show goes beyond entertainment. Plot depth and cohesion, brilliant characterisation, great cinematography and many more are just as or even more important.

I have seen all the three seaaons of Money Heist and while it is a great fun flick, it is riddled with a barrage of plot holes, needless character arcs/sub-plots and a host of others.

It is not as terrible as some people will make it look here, but definitely not as awesome as others are hyping it to be. It's a 6/10 show for me. It's just a fine show; not awful, but not outstanding either.

But of course, this is my personal opinion so...

Dark is better than Stranger Things.

So if the buyer refuses to pay, he can just get away with it? Isn't the agreement legally binding?

Greenbullet:
lol am also studying law. u know am right.
Then I wonder the kind of lawyer you'll turn out to be. You obviously have little or no sound knowledge of the law.

Two things are to be considered here viz:

*Davido has only made mere claims that the baby's mother is a cannabis addict. For the court to take him seriously on this, he needs to prove beyond reasonable doubt that the lady is indeed a cannabis addict. For all we know, He could be lying. Perhaps, trying to whip up sentiments to his side from the little-informed public.

*Even if the baby was truly infested with massive dosage of cannabis, it's still not enough a justification to attempt travelling with the infant without her mother's consent. If he wants to take the baby's custody, all he need do is present a medical report from any reputable hospital to that effect. Otherwise, the court will dismiss his claims.

So, from whichever angle you want to approach the issue under the law, Davido is bound to lose the case if it becomes a court issue.

So, the best thing to then do is what?

Simple, let them settle it amicably off the social media. I think the elders in the respective families have some work to do here; talk like adults and sort it out.

Wow....I am shocked at the comments here. shocked

So, because it wasn't the OP that employed the maid, she doesn't deserve to be respected? And if she gets married and moves in now, and then issues start arising, same OP will be criticised by nairalanders for not sorting the issues out first before getting married into a family home.

And she saying the maid (albeit consciously) refused to pack her clothes from the line does not mean she spreads her cloth on the line for the maid to pack it. Situations arise...you are not around and then a heavy rainfall starts and you hope the maid who I assume is mostly at home may help. It is vexing if she intentionally packs all the clothes on the line and leaves yours. That's just purely being rude. This is not about master-servant respect...the maid even lacks human-to-human respect for her.

OP, your fiance is the problem here in my opinion. If the maid can even be rude to him, dear, your case is no biggie for her.

Nigerians and hypocrisy. As if all the commenters here treat people right in their daily lives. I don't know the OP but let's assume she's even a 'difficult ' person, she rather knows herself and is trying to avoid any cause of ruckus in a fresh marriage just because of a maid.

I don't see why she should be called an evil person by people who lack comprehension.

STEP 1 : Raise 20K outta your pocket money.

STEP 2 : Go to any good Electronic Shop or Show room.

Depends on d stacks with you.

STEP 4 : Take it to your room, Beg any supplier of pure water to supply you at least 10-20 bag per week.

STEP 6 : Buy Kuli-Kuli, Groundnut, Sugar, Eggs, Garri ( put it in nylon, make it 20 Naira own) grin

STEP 7: Announce your new business to your hostel mates. Especially guys in particular.

At least in a week u will earn up to 2K if no one cheats you.

Young man there is something called monetisation. How well has Seun monetised this site in comparison to how Linda has monetised her blog? How much does Seun make from adverts on this site in comparison to what Linda makes from hers? That's the key thing.

You'd better advise her to invest her money wisely in what will appreciate and yield good returns. House depreciates in value. Hope she knows.
