Celebrities / Re: A True Story By Chief Femi Fani-kayode - A Must Read! by okayce(m): 3:27pm On Jan 05, 2014 |
I ddefinitely learnt a lession from the story but i must make my observation that you didn't do enough to protect the identity of the couple. Anyone who is current with national events over the last five years must have guessed whom the man is. If the man in question comes across this article, which I am sure he will, his wife will definitely have a lot of questions to answer and it may likely destroy her marriage. Chief in as much as I respect u so much and have been one of ur followers, I don't think it is the best way to start the year, this article is definitely going to be more explosive than that of Bianca. In the case of Bianca, If the late Ikemba had been alive, u would have gotten far more than u bargained for but in the case painted above, am sure her husband is still alive and you gave an unmistakable description by describing him as a well known politician who was put in detention during Obasanjo's regime and has since been cleared by the court. there is only one person having this description and for the wife in question, her marriage may as well be over. Chief FFK, from your article involving Bianca, Oduah and finally this particular article, I think U ARE VERY CONTROVERSIAL WITH WOMEN AND U NEED TO IMPROVE ON THE WAY U RELATE WITH WOMEN. U can as well learn something from ur own poem. 3 Likes |
Politics / Jonathan Got It Right Wit D Sack Of D Youth Ministr, what About D Educatn Ministr by okayce(m): 8:04pm On Aug 29, 2013 |
I want to thank President Jonathan for sacking the Hon Minister for Youth Development Alhaji Inuwa Abdul-kadir. I only knew such a portfolio existed when I heard of his sack. President Jonathan got it right this time and should be commended. I want to use this medium to appeal to President Jonathan to urgently perform a similar surgical exercise in the education ministry; a starting point for such a cleansing exercise will be the immediate sack of both ministers in the ministry Prof. Ruqayyatu Rufa'I and Barr. Ezebunwo Nyeso Wike The education sector is very critical to national development hence competent and seasoned administrators should be appointed to man such portfolios. It is a pity that ASUU has been on strike for close to two months now and the minister of state for education, in the person of Barr. Ezebunwo Nyeso Wike, has been more interested and visible in the politics of Rivers State than in activities and programs concerning the education sector. The failure of both minister is glaring; As for the minister of state, his case is that of dereliction of duty, he probably saw his appointment as a preparatory ground to occupy the government house in Port harcourt and he has been working assiduously towards achieving his lofty ambition. I am almost certain that, with the support of Her Imperial Majesty, Dame Patience Jonathan, the election into the government house in Rivers State has already been concluded and Barrister Wike is already waiting to be announced as the next governor of Rivers State come 2015. All he needs to do is to do everything possible to remain in the good books of the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. I don't think there has been any serious programs in the last three years that has been implemented to transform or at least raise the standard of education in the country. I do believe if competent hand are appointed, the effort will be felt in less than a year; the case of Prof Barth Nnaji in the power sector is a classical example of a man with a good grasp of how to transform an ailing sector of the economy; unfortunately, Prof Nnaji was not ready to play politics like many of his colleagues in the Federal Executive Council ( including the likes of Barrister Nyeso Wike),the cabals had their way and frustrated him out of the ministry. It is time to appraise the performance of these ministers and those of them that have performed below expectation so far shouldn't even be given the privilege of resignation, they should be sacked outrightly!!! Prof. Ruqayyatu Rufa'I and Barr. Ezebunwo Nyeso Wike are long overdue to be relieved of their appointments. It is time for President Jonathan to act now before these incompetent ministers destroy education ministry completely. |
Politics / Chief Femi Fani-kayode Finally Apologises And Ask For Fogiveness. by okayce(m): 6:21pm On Aug 15, 2013 |
After spearheading a war of attrition against the Igbos, FFK has finally withdrawn some of his statements and rendered an unreserved apology first; to the three ladies he alleged to have had "intimate relationship" with and then to the entire nation especially the igbos. It would be recalled that this e-war started with the deportation of some eastern from Lagos to Onitsha, a move which was condemned by majority of Nigerians. In reaction to the move made by the Lagos State government, Orji Uzor Kalu, an outspoken Nigerian, was alleged to has said that the Igbo contributed to the development of Lagos. This generated further controversy and Chief Femi Fani-Kayode took it upon himself to defend the yoruba nation and clear all doubt about the ownership of Lagos State. At the peak of the controversy, FFK, as he is fondly called by friends, challenged the Igbos or anyone who can "cross sword" with him and give him a good run for his money to come out for a public debate. He concluded that article by claiming that he has no match. In the same article he clearly spoke of his intimate relationship with several Igbos ladies as evidence that he is not an 'Igbo-hater'. The uproar generated by this destructive article was something FFK did not anticipate; several Nigerians, including myself reacted bitterly to the unfolding events. For some people, it was a confirmation of a fact they had long suspected about FFK; that he has an unstable mind and he is usually on drugs hence his unintelligent write-up. However, some gullible Nigeria commended him for his wonderful write-up and marvelled at his bravery; he was urged to further educate Nigerians on historical fact. Less than forty-eight hours after the controversial article came out, FFK, probably back to his senses, tendered an unreserved apology to the three ladies he earlier claimed to have had intimate relationship with. While most Nigerians were still wondering the reason behind the change of tactic, FFK finally surrendered by releasing an article which he claimed was to be his last contribution to the debate. In the said article, he cleared his members of the Femi Fani-Kayode of several sexual allegations with some top politicians. He also apologised to the Igbos and other who were offended by his several articles. Looking back at the various articles that have been in circulation since the past two weeks, I begin to ask myself what must have made FFK to "chicken-out" so easily: He was probably scolded by some of his elders or family members ; it is possible that the drugs he took has finally cleared off and he is now in his right senses and has finally realised the damage he did to himself and the entire Fani Kayode family. Whatever the reason for the u-turn, It is now glaring that the high intelligence quotient (I.Q) he is acclaimed to possess almost led to his own destruction. He has done more harm than good to this country with this self acclaimed intelligence of his. I cannot recall any positive achievement he made while in public office. Instead, he has been battling with the EFCC or one sexual scandal or the other. His public romance with the recently-released Major Al-mustapha is an act of betrayal to the yoruba nation. CHIEF FEMI FANI-KAYODE, YOUR SINS ARE FORGIVEN. GO AND SIN NO MORE!!! However, I must commend the courage he displayed by making an apology for his unguarded utterances. It is rare to find a Nigerian politician who can publicly admit his mistakes, apologise and ask for forgiveness. It shows that he is not blinded by his personal ego. I wish Nigerians, especially nigerian politicians, can copy this particulars virtue from him. Meanwhile, I use this opportunity to advise friends anf family members of FFK to take him to a good psychiatrist for help. Nigeria cannot loose an intelligent citizen. I do hope the ladies and Nigerians in general find a place in their sorrowful hearts to forgive u. Finally, to the gullible Nigerians who stood behind him when he was barking like a lion, I want to advise u to always use your senses and not be blinded by ethnic sentiments; also do not be carried away by someone's gift of elocution to the extent that you swallow everything he says. I still hold FFK in high esteem and am yet to see any Nigerian whose oratory prowess can be compares to that of FFK. However, history has proved that great dictators who led their people to destruction had an unusual gift of public speaking. Finally I want to plead with Nigerians to sheath their sword and put an end to this tribal e-war which has been raging for the past two weeks. I do hope the next article that will be coming from Femi Fani-Kayode will be more constructive and channelled toward nation building. 1 Like |
Politics / Re: A Passionate Appeal To The Ooni Of Ife To Call Chief Femi Fani-kayode To Order. by okayce(m): 8:27am On Aug 14, 2013 |
Guys, this is not about the personality of the Ooni of Ife or the role the Igbo/Yorubas played in the history of Nigeria. This is about the foolishless displayed by FFK when he went public and started mentioning names of women whom he has slept with. He did that with the intention of proving to descerning Nigerians that he is not a hater of the Igbos. If a man, due to weakness, is involved with in an intimate relationship with other women, then he should at least hide such action and be ashamed of some of his shortcomings. If he does not have an intergrity to protect, am sure the ladies he slept with have their reputation to protect. Even Obasanjo did everything possible to hide some of his actions 1 Like |
Politics / A Passionate Appeal To The Ooni Of Ife To Call Chief Femi Fani-kayode To Order. by okayce(m): 1:51am On Aug 14, 2013 |
Femi Fani-Kayode is someone that can best be describe as one of the greatest orator this country has ever produced. His choice of words is quite extraordinary; his oratory prowess and gift of eloquence is capable of intimidating even a professor of English. However Mr Femi Fani-Kayode went too far by publicly listing the names of some notable ladies of Igbo nationality whom he publicly admitted to have had "intimate relationship" with in the past. He probably did that to prove a point that he is not an igbo-hater. An elder like Chief Femi Fani-Kayode should have known the implication of his rant on the dignity of the ladies. Without mincing words, he publicly admitted to have committed fornication with these ladies, some of whom have gotten married and have children by now. These women would be very embarrassed by the loquacious Ife Chief who probably feel a degree from cambridge gives him the right to insult the collective sensibility a whole ethnic group. Did he consider how embarrasing the husband and children of the ladies would feel about their wife and mother being an ex-girlfriend to Chief Femi Fani-Kayode. Did he realise that the children of these women may be ridiculed in their schools. Nigeria is still a conservative society and he shouldn't attempt to throw our family values to the wind. Every woman wants to have her dignity intact especially in her marital home hence certain information that would negatively affect the reputation of women, most especially in front of their kids, should not be made public. From the research I made on the personality of Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, he had divorced twice and he is currently living with his third wife. It appears the "highly-educated" FFK has not learnt any lesson from his two unsuccessful marriages;the possible reasons why his previous marriages crashed is glaring even to a blind man and I am quite sure Mr FFK is the only man who has not realised that there is something fundamentally wrong with his attitude and that is the most likely reason why his previous marriages crashed and his attitude is still the same reason why his current marriage may be in danger of falling apart if he continues like this. For a married man to go ranting on the socaial media that he had intimate relationship with several ladies is a huge embarrassment to his wife and kids and this goes to confirms that he has no shame. I think it is time for someone to stop FFK from going forward with this war of attrition which he is spearheading against the Igbos. I want to appeal to His Imperial Majesty Oba Okunade Sijuwade II to call this young man back to his senses. I do believe that if Chief FFK has refused to listen to any advice on his attitude, including those probably coming from his wife and children, he would listen to the voice of one of the most respected traditional ruler who saw him worthy to be bestowed with a traditional chieftaincy title from the Great Ife Kingdom. I also want to advise Mr Femi Fani-Kayode to constructively channel his intelligence towards nation-building; he has a lot to offer to this country and much is expected from him as someone who had the privilege of attending some of the greatest and most prestigious academic institutions but from his past records as Special Assistant to President Obasanjo on public affairs and as the minister of Aviation and Culture it is glaring that he has performed below expectation. It is time for him to change his tactics and maybe learn one or two lessons from a fellow yoruba scholar Professor Wole Soyinka. |
Sports / Irrespective of the no of goals conceded, who played better against the Spainard by okayce(m): 9:55pm On Jun 23, 2013 |
The disgraceful display of the Super Eagles against the Spainards shows that we still have a long way to go in building a national team that can compete at the global stage. It was glaring that the super eagles were disorganised and looked confused upfront; there was no good striker. The duo of Ahmed Musa and Ideye should not have been featured in this crucial match, the kind of opportunities these boys missed was shocking; infact I realised after this match that it is only the Super Eagles that misses such opportunities in front of empty net; Yakubu's case at the 2010 world cup is a point of reference. I don't want to believe that these are the best strikers we have available for selection. The rate at which the ball was being passed backward to Eyeama shows a team not having the confidence to advance towards the opponents side. The defending was so poor that Jordi Alba strolled right into the eighteen yard box in the midst of five defenders and scored the first goal. We should however commend Eyeama; who was clearly the best player on the Nigerian side;for leaving up to expectation. From a personal assessment, the Tahiti national team played better against the Spainards than the Super Eagles; the fact that we conceded less goals than the tahitians was due to the wonderful display of the goalkeeper Vincent Eyeama. I am quite sure if they had the kind of opportunities we had in front of the goalpost, they would have converted such opportunities; they had better pace and played with a higher level of determination than the Nigerians. It is time for Stephen Keshi and the entire coaching crew to start looking at building a world class team. I do believe players like Osaze, despite his tempramental attitude, still have a role to play in the Super Eagles. If tempramental players like Balotelli Cassano, Rooney can be managed to produce results, then I don't see any reason why Keshi should freeze Osaze out of the national team because of his attitude. |
Religion / Someone Should Please Call The Catholic Faithfuls Of Ahiara Diocese To Order. by okayce(m): 2:29pm On Apr 29, 2013 |
I read this article on the net and I think It is time for the entire Catholic Faithfuls in Nigeria to speak-up against the activities of some members of the Catholic Diocese of Ahiara who are being misled by some disgruntled religious leaders: "CATHOLIC BISHOPS OF NIGERIA DECLARE WAR ON MBAISE Latest on the Ahiara Diocese Saga. By Prof John Michael Adinuso Our valiant brothers and sisters from Mbaise, have you heard the latest on the ever-changing strategies and tactics of the criminal gang from Awka? They are so desperate to steal the bishopric of Ahiara Diocese that they are ever changing their strategies and tactics. We must keep one step ahead of them. Here is the latest gist. Having realized that coming to Mbaise on Tuesday, May 21, 2013, to ordain and install the rejected bishop-elect Okpalaeke would most certainly be repelled by the Mbaise people, the Awka gang went to Abuja recently and applied to have a massive police and military presence take over the whole of Mbaise a few days before and after the planned ordination. Fortunately, the authorities in Abuja asked that a letter of invitation for the planned ordination and installation from the Catholic Diocese of Ahiara be tendered in evidence in order for them to start considering their application. But they had none of that. Exercising their criminal mind, they reached out to their puppet and agent, the Apostolic Nuncio to Nigeria, Augustine Kasujja, and their new-found ally in the plot, Cardinal Onaiyekan of Abuja, who started pressurizing Msgr. Theo Nwalo to send to the so-called bishop-elect an invitation or an information about his so-called ordination on May 21, 2013. Some notable Ahiara Diocesan priests without knowing the evil machination of the Awka gang did not see any real or potential problems if Msgr. Nwalo chose to give such a letter. But then a tip came that if such a letter was given, the Awka criminal gang would misuse it in Abuja to apply for a powerful contingent of the police and the military to come and invade Mbaise on May 21. When the alarm was raised, the full force of priests from Ahiara Diocese stormed Msgr. Nwalo's office and prevailed upon him not give such a letter. Msgr. Nwalo obliged and the situation was saved. Every Mbaise citizen should see how desperate Okpalaeke and his collaborators are. They are using all criminal tactics to try to achieve their hopeless intention. We should not allow them to make any headway in their effort to steal the bishopric of Ahiara Diocese. Since their earlier effort has failed woefully, the Awka gang has embarked on adopting a new strategy. Their latest strategy revolves around the use of Governor Peter Obi's convoy. It has come to the notice of Ahiara priests and lay people that what Okpalaeke and his group are planning to do on that day of his so-called ordination is the so-called bishop-elect to sit with Gov Peter Obi is his police convoy. They would use the governor's convoy to storm Ahiara Diocese and get the so-called bishop-elect safe into Ahiara Diocesan Cathedral where they believe he will eventually be ordained. This strategy was used quite effectively in Benin City during the installation of Archbishop Akubueze. It is being alleged that the defences planned by those in Benin City during the installation of Akubueze could have worked if not for the use of Governor Peter Obi's convoy. They are planning a repeat of that strategy. The desperate Awka gang is planning to turn Governor Peter Obi of Anambra State into an accessory for crimes against Ndi Mbaise. They will not succeed. Mbaise people are by far wiser than Benin people. Whatever worked for them in Benin will never work for them in Mbaise. We will match them force for force. That is the latest from Mbaise caucus and leadership meetings. And if they try any nonsense, they will pay dearly for it. If you love Anambra State criminal money bags, or are friends with some of them, warn them to desist from this nonsense. If they misbehave in Mbaise they will become history. We suggest that all Mbaise citizens everywhere call on Governor Peter Obi of Anambra State to stay clear of the problem in Ahiara Diocese. He should be sensible enough to know that Mbaise will be a different ball game than Benin. If he makes a mistake in this regard, he will regret it forever. Governor Peter Obi should know that Mbaise is not Benin. Mbaise is not Awka where he dominates like a lion king. It is Mbaise, a place like no other in Nigeria. Mbaise is Igbo proper. And Igbo Mbaise does not respect any king or governor or ruler who is supporting injustice. If Gov Obi chooses the way of injustice, he will pay for it in Mbaise. Mbaise people are notorious for daring the devil. If Gov Obi is coming to Mbaise with his convey loaded with military and police forces to escort the rejected bishop-elect into Ahiara Cathedral on May 21, he will get the rudest shock of his life. If the governor paves the way for the police and the army to commit murder in Mbaise, he will pay for it in every way Mbaise people deem fit. Please, Mbaise patriots, tell the governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi to stay clear of the crisis in Ahiara Diocese. Mbaise patriots, call the president of Nigeria, Dr Goodluck Jonathan and the governor of Imo State, Owelle Rochas Okoroacho to advise the Governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi to stay at home on May 21, with his police convoy. He will be harassed and beaten up in Mbaise if he ventures into the place to intimidate people with his sirens and armoured cars. Mbaise people will not be afraid of him. Let him give peace a chance. All Mbaise people are asking for is justice to Anambra State people and Justice to Imo people, justice to Awka and Justice to Mbaise. If Gov. Obi ventures to use the overwhelming state power to support injustice, he will be beaten back. President Goodluck Jonathan and Gov Rochas Okorocha, please, in the interest of peace and order in Imo State, tell Gov Peter Obi not to cause problems in Mbaise on May 21. There is no way he could come there to intimidate people without being challenged. Mbaise will match force with force. Whatever it will take to defeat him and his Awka gang, Mbaise will do it. To be forewarned is to be forearmed! Governor Peter Obi, please govern your richly endowed state of Anambra and leave Imo State alone. Do not embarrass yourself by getting involved with Okpalaeke case. It will destroy you and your legacy. Ask your brother, His Eminence, what has happened to his legacy in Igboland. He dabbled into promoting his cronies into the bishoprics of Igbo Church and today his legacy is history. Nobody will remember the only cardinal the Igbo church has ever had without remembering his atrocities and his despicable cronyism in the Igbo Church. The same fate awaits everybody who supports the injustice against the Mbaise people. Anybody that supports this injustice will be consumed by it. Gov Obi, stay clear. A word is enough for the wise. " From this write-up it is now certain that some of us Catholics don't actually know what we are doing. The writer of this article, if he is actually a Catholic, is trying to derail a lot of catholics. It is necessary to make certain fact clear for the general public: 1) There is no democracy in religion, Leadership in the Holy Roman Catholic Church is not by popular vote or tribal sentiments; it is left in the hands of those in positions of authority to elect one whom they feel is in a position to lead the flock in a particular diocese. Our duty as catholic faithfuls is to pray for those in positions of authority so that they can be guided by the holy spirit while making decisions that affect the holy church. This is the reason why a prayer is said for the Holy Father and all the Bishops during the consecration of the holy Eucharist. 2) This write-up is an invitation to the people of Mbaise to use violence if possible to oppose the installation of the bishop. The writer should not ethnicize the catholic church; there may be challenges about how the bishop will connect with the people of Mbaise but it should be noted that this issue will open the floodgate for other diocese to start demanding that their bishop must be an indigene of the diocese and it may lead to people fighting and killing each other in order to have their candidates installed in positions in the diocese; this is not different from what is done in the Nigerian political environment. 3) The priests and lay faithfuls of Mbaise should be more concerned about the spiritual growth of the people and not about positions. There is no iota of spirituality in lay faithfuls who took to the streets to demonstate and register their rejection of a new bishop simply because he is not from their place. If a protest is made due to a sacrilege commited by a religious leader, then it is understandable. Mbaise may have the largest number of priests from west africa but what actually matter is the level of spirituality in her priests and her laity. They should be more interested in the spiritual exercise 4) The priest of Mbaise should be reminded that they made a vow of total obedience to superior authority during their ordination so if an unpopular decision is being taken, they are bound to obey higher authority; disobedience to the authority of the Catholic Church is not a good example of a spiritually-minded catholic priest who is interested in drawing souls nearer to God. Finally I want the good people of Mbaise never to lay their hands on THE LORD'S ANNOINTED even if misguided by their priests who are suppose to advise them. Let all catholics continue to pray for the catholic priests of Ahiara Diocese so that they may lead their flock in the right direction and not to their destruction. THE WRITER OF THIS ARTICLE IS AN INDIGENE OF MBAISE AND AN UNAPOLOGETIC CATHOLIC FAITHFUL 1 Like |
Romance / Why Do Ladies Secretly Love To Marry Men Who Have Lost Their Mother? by okayce(m): 2:59am On Apr 24, 2009 |
Good day everyone in the house, there is an issue that has been bothering me for some time and i would like to hear from the ladies in the house. i discovered on interaction with some of my close female friends that ladies of this present generation would prefer a situation whereby the man they intend to spend the rest of their life with has lost his mother. i have tried inquiring from several ladies and none has been able to give me a satisfactory answer.what they seem to be saying is that they are not ready to accommodate any other person who would occupy even a small portion of their hubby's attention or anyone who their husband do listen to. i see this feeling among ladies as an unfortunate one.they probably don't realise that they will be mothers-in-law someday and if i may add that their opinion is made more unjustifiable considering the fact that they expect their husband to care for their own parents but on the other hand do not want to draw close to their husband relatives most especially their mother-in-laws. i will appreciate it if the ladies in the house can give their candid opinion. Thanks |
