kayzat: There's no point wasting time on Lai Mohammed because the man himself knows how deceitful he is. Let me just give you three of his numerous lies: 1. He lied that Alimodu Sheriff was on entourage to Chad with GEJ but it turned out to be false. 2. He over-bloated the total amount recovered from the so-called looters just to score cheap points in the rundown to Buhari's first 100 days in office. 3. He lied that Rabiu Kwankwasso's plane was prevented from landing in Ekiti during the election but the man was busy holding rally in Kano at the time. 3 Likes 1 Share |

I don't understand why some people are just unrepentantly wicked and hypocritical. In a saner clime, Lauretta shouldn't be seen talking in public let alone working as image maker in an APC government. She and other satanic, educated but illiterate elements offered themselves as willing tools to undermine the last administration and enthrone this incompetent ,hateful and good-for-nothing govt. 52 Likes 3 Shares |

Ngenekwenu, Sarki and other Buharists would simply vanish like vapour from this thread. I just don't know why Buhari likes courting trouble and starting a battle he can't win. WHY? |

Now, that's the true meaning of integrity; implementing every line of your party manifesto without mischief and prejudice. Not only did our own Mr. Integrity make a fake Asset Declaration, he failed to persuade his saintly ministers to declare theirs as he promised. Here, we use both insecticides and perfume (body spray) to "fight" corruption depending on who's involved. 2 Likes |

Orikinla1: OP, did the PDP ever complain about the mess left behind by the military in 1998? Some of you just lack commonsense. |

I thought some APC stalwarts once said only the wailers are complaining of hunger in the land. Very soon, the revolt will start from Blantyre Street. |

The national leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has warned its staff at the party’s secretariat to stop soliciting for money from visitors. Party leaders issued the warning at a closed-door meeting yesterday with the staff working at its national headquarters at Blantyre Street, Wuse 2, Abuja. Vowing to punish anyone caught in the act, sources at the meeting said the attitude had become a source of embarrassment for the party leaders who usually received key political figures, foreign diplomats, and businessmen. “The party leadership has warned us not to run after politicians for money again,” a source told Daily Trust. “They said they are not happy with the unruly conduct of some of our people herewhenever some gift is given by any visitor to the secretariat,” the source added. Meanwhile,APC said it was working on a new constitutionahead of its national convention fixed for April. APC noted that the constitution will check internal opposition, usher in a reconstituted Board of Trustees (BoT) as well as deal with those who derailed the plan to have its preferred candidates elected as principal officers of the National Assembly. http://dailypost.ng/2017/01/27/stop-begging-visitors-money-apc-warns-staff/ |

What a wonderful world! Someone was hated, vilified and kicked out of power in 2015, yet he has become the chief cornerstone in 2017 while the other who was so much coveted ,loved, packaged and repackaged in the same year has now become a reject in 2017. Don't seek for power but seek for service. 4 Likes 1 Share |

But someone at Aso Rock often tell his audience both home and abroad that no infrastructure was put in place during PDP's 16-year reign. Lying can sometimes be repugnant but it becomes poisonous and infective when repeated so often by an elderly man. 3 Likes |

The Federal Government has urged the Bring Back Our Girls (BBOG) group to see government as a partner rather than adversary in the quest to secure the release of the Chibok girls. In a statement in Abuja on Monday, the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, said the BBOG’s continued portrayal of the government as an adversary and the needless firing of darts at President Muhammadu Buhari, were ultimately counter-productive. Mr. Mohammed said the president was doing his utmost best to bring the girls back home safely. “The Federal Government has bent over backwards to carry the BBOG along and to show transparency in the conduct of the search for the girls,” he said. “The recent invitation extended to the group to witness first-hand the search for the girls by the Nigerian Air Force is a clear indication of this.“However, it came to us as a surprise that in spite of its initial positive report on the tour, the BBOG has too quickly reverted to its adversarial role. “BBOG should stick to its role as an advocacy group rather than pretending to be an opposition party. “The synonyms of the word ‘advocacy’ do not include ‘antagonism’, ‘opposition’ or ‘attack’, in fact those words are the antonyms of ‘advocacy,’’’ he said. The minister said it amounted to needless grandstanding for the BBOG to say it would no longer tolerate “delays’’ and “excuses” from the president on the release of the girls, as reported by the media. According to him, such “impudent’’ language should have been reserved for those who did nothing in the first 500 days of the girls’ abduction, and not for Mr. Buhari. Mr. Mohammed said President Buhari has presided over the liberation of all captured territory, the opening of shut schools and roads, the safe release of some of the abducted girls and the decimation of Boko Haram. He assured Nigerians that the efforts to bring the girls back safely were continuing, but sought their understanding for not divulging any further details so as not to jeopardise the intricate process. “Let me say unequivocally that the people involved in the negotiations are working 24/7. “The negotiations are complicated, tortuous and delicate. Any wrong signal is capable of derailing things. That’s why the less we say, the better for all. “We need a huge amount of confidence-building, the kind of which led to the release of 21 of the girls. This has been lacking for years, but right now we are confident that we are on the right track. “We won’t do anything to jeopardise these talks, irrespective of the pressure or provocation from any quarter,” the minister said. Though Garba Shehu has oftentimes displayed traits of illiteracy, crudity, senselessness and incivility, I would still believe his account was hacked. However, if these uncouth vituperations are indeed from him, then his entire education is a waste. 150 Likes 6 Shares |

plainol: That's not true. It was obvious that CNN was biased pre and post the US elections. Their choice of words, news lines and selective interviews (with in-house correspondents and political analysts), were too hostile to Trump's presidency. Even the election polls were carefully crafted to aid Hilary Clinton's electoral success. On the other hand, AIT despite been accused of spreading "hate speech" against Buhari, still gave a level playing ground to both PDP and APC. Imagine CNN giving Donald Trump a 49% approval rating few days to his oath of office. CNN is just disgusting. That said, I think Donald Trump shouldn't have banned them outright. 2 Likes |

What APC and their jingoists dubbed as hate speech in 2015 is staring them in the face right now. Lies may travel for 200 years but it takes a day's journey for truth to catch up with it. 1 Like |

seunmsg: The presidency deems it necessary to refute Deji's tweet very swiftly but takes ages to react to other pressing national issues such as herdsmen killings. You guys are just pathetic. Besides, as of today, no court in Nigeria has convicted Jonathan for corruption. So, direct your tirade to Buhari under whom N270m was spent in cutting grass. |

dealslip: That's exactly the crux of my post. Nobody is inciting the nation to cry over spilled milk but a wakeup call for all of us to access issues critically before criticizing people for their opinion. Many took Fayose's opinion as hate speech rather than the truth it tried to establish. 1 Like |

dealslip: That's true but the nation suffers and pays for it. Critical and prompt decision making are often impaired by any President's ill-health. Do you know why the president has not been able to react swiftly to national issues including visiting disaster venues? It's probably due to his health. 1 Like |

In the heat of campaigns toward the 2015 elections, one of the people that took flaks for placing emphasis on Buhari's age, health and fragility was Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State. Fayose in his ever blunt mannerism drew the attention of fellow citizens to the danger involved in electing a septuagenarian Buhari as the Commander In Chief of the most populous black nation on earth. In one of Obasanjo's numerous interviews, he critically highlighted the rigours involved in administering a nation as big as Nigeria. Obasanjo made an exposé of how he had to hold official and party related meetings into the wee hours of the night, sometimes as late as 1.00am and still found his way to the office by 10.00am the next morning! That's how cumbersome and energy sapping the presidency can be. Without holding brief for Fayose, it's now evident that the rigour of office has started taking a negative toll on our President's health going by the spate of breaks he had embarked upon less that two years into his tenure. http://dailypost.ng/2016/05/04/i-am-not-abusing-buhari-he-is-too-old-to-rule-nigeria-fayose/ At this juncture, it's not completely out of place to infer that the President's age and presumed failing health are responsible for slow response to pressing national issues. One often wonders why it sometimes takes ages for the president to issue prompt statements or perhaps appear on national screens to address the citizens on matters arising. Sentiment aside, no human being is immune from sickness but those who condemned Fayose for speaking the truth about Buhari's age and health in the buildup to the 2015 elections need to do some restitution. OP, stop bothering us with unnecessary epistle. Friendly fire and accidental bombings are common incidents all over the world but Lai Mohammed, Buhari, Tinubu, Fashola, El Rufai, Ameachi and the entire APC heirachy did not think of this when they used similar mistakes to ridicule PDP and Jonathan's govt. They even went to the extent of mocking the same military at every slight occasion. Don't go too crazy when your team beats an opponent 5-0 because you might be whipped by the same team 8-0 in the subsequent season. |

sarrki: I have a strong feeling that something is not just right with your thinking faculties. It's either you're programmed to act like a robot or simply lacks commonsense. Can you tell Nairalanders the deference between a govt that "shared money", yet the masses could afford to buy beans, rice, kerosene etc at ease and the one that "fights corruption" and "plugs leakages" but brings untold hardship on the citizenry. No amount of your propaganda can wash Buhari from his spots of bigotry, selective justice, deceit, cruelty and tribalism. All his past and present evils would continue to trail his steps now and in the future. Buhari is simply evil. 1 Like |
