There are basically some things you must know before starting out.

1) You don't need a travel Agent (you can do it yourself)

2) Your cgpa will determine the institution to apply to (university or college)

3) You don't need IELTS (There are plenty institutions that don't require IELTS)

4) Your institution of choice must be a DLI institute

5) As a DLI institution is must offer PGWP after study

6) There are lots of scholarship/funding opportunities for research courses (Masters and Phd)

7) When it comes to scholarships/funding for research programme the U15 is a sure banker (they give scholarships like give away, opor)

Relocating to canada can be expensive depending on the pronvince and institution you choose (especially if you're funding your education yourself)

9) Aside getting admission, the Proof of Funds is very impprtant (you can't avoid it, infact if you can't show it or even if you show it and the immigration officers are not convinced you'd be denied visa)

10) Your family can join you

Breakdowns

1) You don't need an agent, all you need is access to the right information and formular tha works.

2a) Universities accept a Cgpa of 2.1 or second class upper and above for masters (some accept 2.2 aswell)

2b) Cgpa of 2.2 or second class lower down to will have to apply to a college for a Post Graduate Diploma or Certificate which ranges from 1 - 2 years depending on your choice course.

3) Yes! You don't need IELTS, aslong as you were thought in english, all you need is an IELTS waiver.

4) What is a DLI institute?
Designated Learning Institute: these are institutions that gives admission or accept international student (foreigners/immigrants)

5) The DLI institutions MUST Offer Post Graduate Work Permit Aka PGWP after study. (Do alot of research to find the list)

A PGWP is a permit giving to you after study to enable you work, if you study for 1 year you'd get a Work Permit of 1year, if you study for 2years you'd get a Work Permit of 3years. (It is renewable)

6) There are lots of Funding opportunities for Research programmes, So if you intend going for a Research course like Sustainability, Agriculture, Educational studies, Laws, Public health etc be rest assured for funding (there are ways to apply)

7) The U15 Research Universities are your best bet for scholarships in research programmes for Masters and Phd. Once they accept you just sit and enjoy. (You must follow the guidlines to apply for scholarship)

Yes! Immigrating through the study route is by far the easiest route to take, but can be expensive (especially if you're funding yourself), so its basically not for everyone.

1) School application: 100 - 150 CAD

2) Tuition: 11,000 - 30,000 per Year (depending on your programme)

3) Living expenses (Proof Of Funds): 10,000 CAD

4) Living expenses for additional person: 4,000 CAD

5) Visa application: 150 CAD

6) Biometrics: 85 CAD

Medical: Approximately 50,000 naira (as at now)

Air fare: From 250,000 naira depending on the airline

Miscellaneous: Approximately 100,000 naira

Like i said this isn't for everyone.

9) The Proof Of Funds Also known as living expenses for 1year.

The Proof of Fund is your bank statement showing the amount you have available to you for your living expenses when you arrive canada. They require this infomation to be sure you can take care of yourself for at least 1 year in canada, the minimum amount you should have 10,000 CAD.

This can either be yours or that of a sponsor.
