I think it's normal that some are disgusted by and opposed to homosexuality, but the comments are sometimes so hateful, that it seems obvious to me the intent is to hurt people. I don't think most six year olds if any at all have enough in their database to make those kinds of judgments. They're still learning how the world works and are still very gullible. I think most things we learn before our mid-teens should be re-evaluated tbh. I just think once we accept something as true and base our lives on it it is very difficult to go back. Few naturally curious people can do it, but it's generally difficult.

Imagine someone trying to convince you that what you have known and referred to as blue your whole life is actually yellow. I think that's how hard it is to convince some religious that they may be missing the plot.
