European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: John Terry Cleared Of Racism Against Anton Ferdinand by olojoro: 5:34pm On Jul 14, 2012
John Terry is a racist piece of crap and should be banned from playing football forever and ever and ever and ever. He hates black people and sleeps with everybody's wife and sister.

He's not just a racist but a horrrrny racist. That's the worst kind. Crucify him!! Chelsea is a useless racist institution for not sacking that englis tout.

Reference:

I disagree. Manchester City and the traditional top four of United, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool are all in one form of transition or another that affects all teams. Give it another couple of seasons and you will find four EPL teams in the last 8 UCL places as has been. The EPL remains the most competitive. They have only suffered recently from aging squads and player power. With all due respect Bilbao and United are not to be found on the same pitch. Na condition.

Abegi nobody wanna hia all dat storeeeee. They are, for whatever reason, on the same pitch and Bilbao is knocking utd's head off. Save all dat one for tales by moonlight.

I don't know from wherever you woke from, joining the topic after it's all dead after 27pages. You see you've just exposed yourself; ecstasy is very common among gay men. Now unless you're using, why would u want someone else to use? If you think ignorance is punishable by death, I better hope you're up to par because someday your own ignorance will call for your own head. Live by the sword, you die by the same sword.

Abegi shut up jare. Ala kori oshi. Bloody dog. Who taught you how to talk? Bingo oshi. Everybody is talking you too open mouth want to make a point. You belong in a cage in a zoo where small children can come and watch you do tricks like typing and be amused.  WTF are u yapping? Bloody slave!!

This will send a very good message to other intending gay activist in Uganda, this is Africa mehn, we 've got culture, and same sex marriage is from the pit of hell!

As shown by Miss Jennifer's posts, homosexuality is part of some African cultures.

Ignorant ba$tard. I think ignorance should be punishable by death. I think we should let 5 well endowed gay dudes on ecstasy go to town on your buttocks and literally pump all the life out of your ignorant self.

Kill the gays. Stop blaming democracy. It's the gays. Let's burn them. Death to the gays!! Let's kill them all and the world will live happily ever after. We will never be disgusted again.

To be honest it bothers me  that GEJ is president, because I don't think he is qualified to run a country, especially one in Nigeria's state. But I also think this crusade against his wife because of this particular speech is unwarranted. There are many legitimate reasons to object to the Goodluck's being in charge. I don't think this is one of them. I think this is just very petty, at best.

These "homophobic" flamers just need attention. The only place they can ever feel powerful is on an internet forum leading the offensive against the "worst evil the world has ever seen". whoaaa!! Be very afraid. .  the gays are loose and are going to turn us all gay. It's a contagious disease and we are all at risk of turning gay. Hide your kids, and your elderly because they spare no buttholes.

Goofs.

Oh here we go again. . . . the same B.S excuse.

Why should she address the world in her native language? Can the world speak your language?

If she needed to speak her language, then she ought to have hired an interpreter  to translate her language to English for the rest of us non-deltans or wherever she came from.

And did she inform anyone that can even write in her native language?
When (if) she went to school and graduated from uni, with what language was she taught? If not English?

Did you understand the words she spoke in her speech?

Lmao!! So you think there are no gays in your village?  grin grin

You guys are likely very insecure with your sexuality. Are u scared you are going to turn gay?  shocked shocked Let me guess you "accidentally" saw gay indecency once, had a slight erection, it made you uncomfortable so now you bash gays to reinforce to your flaming gay selves that you are heterosexual?  grin grin

These are the tackiest arguments against homosexuality I have ever heard. You guys are ignorant beyond belief.
Politics / Re: Uganda Gay Rights Activist David Kato Killed by olojoro: 2:22pm On Jan 30, 2011
I think the kind of rhetoric directed towards homosexuals is quite extreme a lot of the time. I think it's normal that some are disgusted by and opposed to homosexuality, but the comments are sometimes so hateful, that it seems obvious to me the intent is to hurt people. To each his own I guess, it just seems like a very petty and insensitive way to object to something.

@ olojoro >>> SMH >>> you really underestimate kids >>> probably aren't aware of the many innovations pree-teens have made   undecided  (your take)

like >>> eeeemmmm >>> 1 + 1 =2 abi  undecided  >>>

Exactly! If you can show 1+1 to be something other than two then go for it.

I've been waiting all my life to see a snake's vocal chords, or a virgin pregnancy without artificial means. I'm still waiting.

Uyi Iredia:

I assert that everybody and anybody is born with inherent curiousity >>> You talk like an atheist/agnostic >>> You one ?

Maybe we all are. That's why i wonder why many people believe things from one book when they will dismiss the same type of stories if they came from anywhere else.

I'm the holy spirit on steroids.

Uyi Iredia:

i gave you examples from my own experience to prove that one can turn from a belief >>> when the reasons are good enough for such a person >>> you needlessly posit that people find it hard to turn from a belief >>> except some privileged curious people_i guess  undecided

I just stated that maybe you were too young to make an educated decision. I know of many adults that became religious as adults so I don't think my comment shows anything. I was just stating what I thought of your situation.

Enigma:

Yet your "compelling" evidence that religious people are "missing the plot" is scattered all around "across the earth"?

Veeeeeeeeeery clever indeed.

Talking snakes, messiahs that do magic tricks,  human sacrifice for redemption , etc just don't do it for me. Especially when these happened thousands of years ago and I just have to believe some book that I don't even know where it came from. Why not just believe our own African folk tales if we're going to trust ancient minds with our fate?

Enigma:

And you have not yet stumbled across the truly compelling arguments for Christianity and for the existence of God?

Not for the supernatural claims and the nature of God that western monotheistic religions profess.
Religion / Re: Atheism Is A Religion by olojoro: 5:42pm On Nov 12, 2010
@ Uyi, You were six years old, and Jehovah witness literature convinced you of God, and at 8 you became Christian and when you were ten your dad converted. . .  Interesting.

I don't think most six year olds if any at all have enough in their database to make those kinds of judgments. They're still learning how the world works and are still very gullible. I think most things we learn before our mid-teens should be re-evaluated tbh. I just think once we accept something as true and base our lives on it it is very difficult to go back. Few naturally curious people can do it, but it's generally difficult.

Enigma:

"Man is a political animal"

"Man is a religious animal"

Discuss.

cool

Man is men and women and children living together. Political, arguably so. Religious, not necessarily. In fact I can say religious, NO!! It's just hard for one to change a world view that is really all they know.

Imagine someone trying to convince you that what you have known and referred to as blue your whole life is actually yellow. That will make you, and every reference you have made to the color almost nonsensical. That could be somewhat traumatic. I think that's how hard it is to convince some religious that they may be missing the plot. It's not that the arguments are not compelling, it's just really difficult for people to accept that they have been living a lie the whole time. It's very very difficult. All sorts of defense mechanisms spring up and it will most likely just end up causing fight.

grin holy poo poo. Are you guys really this sorry?

I used dictionary.com because i just googled the word and that was the first one that came up. I was not really trying to get all technical. I was just trying to show odde4real that his statement was meaningless. Besides, Merriam-Webster has a similar definition to the one I used (a source of harm or ruin). They are pretty much the same thing unless we want to be little children and act all petty. I won't go there with you. It wouldn't matter what definition you used, odde4real's statement makes no sense.

Bottom line is that Odde4real is an ignoramus trying to do local champion on Nairaland. wink
