Visa Delayed July 17 2018 at Lagos embassy

Re fired... Got an appointment for August 16, Rescheduling thing happened, interview date was moved to 27th of August and the following went down.
I am doing this because I learnt a lot from this forum... from part 11 down to 13 and a bit of 14.

Abuja embassy window 3...

Me: Good morning Ma'am with a big smile

Vo: Good morning, pass me your passport and your I-20, she then asked what school are you going to?

Me: Im going to bowie state university for my masters in computer science, while saying that she was also nodding.

VO: How did you get to know about this school?

Me: It was recommended by my line manager at my former place of work, I also read a couple of online journals as regards my area
of specialization and the school kept being mentioned.

VO: So you work at XYZ Consulting firm?

Me: Pronounced it properly for her, then moved on to explain what my job is at the firm. I am an application support specialist plus a consultant

VO: Have you served?

Me: Yes, I served in 2015

VO: What are you going to be doing after this program?

Me: I will be returning to nigeria to continue working at my current place of work, but as a senior IT security specialist, she now asked for
a proof of my return, which i presented

VO: Who will be sponsoring?

Me: My uncle, went ahead to explain that he is business man, my maternal uncle and how he's being sponsoring since High school plus i will be
supporting with some savings from work, she then asked for his bank statement went through it and said she will be holding on to the bank statement and if found fraudulent i will be banned for 10 years and my response was: I can assure there's no issue.

VO: She then asked about my parents, I confidently told her they are doing great and that my mom is also involved with sponsoring this course
Then she goes with those words.... I will be approving your visa...you know the rest

Please note that the above does not fully cover all that transpired at the interview but will sure inform one of what to expect and how to go about it.

I will also like to mention that GOD is really important in all this, you need to be confident its okay to stammer but make sure you make your point. Also, you need to use technical terms in your field of study while explaining yourself. I dont know it all but GOD did it... It was only his grace. It is also important to dress simple and neatly... More like a clean shirt and some nice pants.

Finally, thank you to everyone that have taken their time to post one thing or the other as regards School and Visa, GOD bless you all.

Hello everyone, I have being a silent reader since part 12, I really appreciate everyone who took their time to post their transcripts and all for other people to learn. I had my first interview on the 18th of July and was denied. Well, i was really not confident that day so i reapplied but got a new date at abuja embassy for 16th of august the whole rescheduling thing happened and was rescheduled to 27th which also happen to be my school resumption date.

I was at abuja embassy before 6am, did the regular checking some mins after 7, did the interview and was placed on AP and still waiting to get a mail from them. I will be sharing my transcript as soon as i get my passport and visa.

The thing is school has resumed yesterday, DSO does not want to issue late resumption letter but is suggesting that i defer admission to spring 2019 and come in at that time. If I travel in december for the new semester, would there be any issue at the point of entry with the new I-20?

Can anyone kindly advice me on this?

Also how long does the bank statement verification thing takes as I was given the white paper but was told they verifying the funds in the account i presented.

Hello everyone, just a quick one. Following the closure of abuja embassy till further notice, I am supposed to have gone for my interview on the 16th and hopefully resume school on or before the 27th of this month. Can anybody suggest what i can do next in order to meet up resumption. I am open to several suggestions. Thank you.

Morning peeps, so i recently applied to abuja embassy for my visa interview due to the fact that i saw a date that was close but on getting to the available dates pages things i changed. Question is: is it possible to change my interview from abuja to lagos without having to pay another fee?

The next available date is 14th sept 2018. That is too bad. Just hoping an earlier date pops up.

Lagos or Abuja. Between does anyone knows if there are earlier dates?

It has no additional cost. It will cost you about #58,000 to schedule a regular appointment and nothing extra to make it expedited.

Hi, so my school resumes on the 24th of august and im planning to use the expedited appointment, do you know if there's be any issues with this?

Hi, How much does it cost to apply for emergency date?

Guys, How far? I'm also going for MSC computer science.
logophilia:

Any luck getting the past questions? I'm going for PGD in Computer Science. It's been difficult connecting with current students or anyone who has the past questions.
