There is no iota of doubt that the nation's economy is in recession. And, nobody feels the excruciating pains of the economy more than the masses. They experienced the effects firsthand, in every aspects of their daily life...Is it when they go to the market or when they board a taxi to work, etc.

As a result of that, the situation requires the utmost cooperation of govts at all levels; from the federal, states and local councils. They both have critical roles to play in order to turn the tide.

In the case of Kaduna state, the Executive Governor, Malam Nasir El-Rufai, has repeatedly indicated the readiness of his government to pay salary as at when due. And, he has obviously kept to that promise to a larger extent. He has also not relent in ensuring funds meant for local government councils get to them on time for prompt payment of workers.

Contrary to what is generally believed, may I bring to your notice that glaring sabotage by the Chairman of Kudan Local Government.

Since the month of August 2016, some workers in the councils have not been paid a dime despite collecting the fund meant for that from the state government.

I for one do not see any justification why a man/woman (especially a family man) will be working since August without a kobo. If that's not extortion then what else is it?

This is especially so when one considers the fact that the Chairman has been luring and vehemently urging the members of staff affected not to disclose their predicament to anyone. Isn't obvious that he has questions to answer?

Why allow them to die in silence?

How would their silence help their situation?

An investigation has also revealed that the Education Secretary is ganging up with the Chairman to maintain the status quo by all means.

Gaskiya, this wickedness has to stop. I see this as a struggle between what's right and what's wrong. Afterall an injustice to one is an injustice to all. By lending your voice to this struggle against tyranny, you may eventually be putting food to a thousand people's table.

My aim is to see this message gets to the right person/channel and the inhuman treatment redressed ultimately.

[b][/b]Kaduna State Governor Alh. Nasiru El-rufa'i was interviewed yesternite and he stated clearly that he has been paying the salary of staffs in Kaduna State since he assumed office, he made mention of his achievements and promise to make Kaduna State Great Again.
In contrary I want to bring to your notice that the Chairman of Kudan Local Government Kaduna State have refused to pay the Salary of the Staffs working in the L.G for the past Five Months since August 2016 till date.
The Chairman has been luring, convincing and urging the staff not to disclose this to anyone. I think the Chairman is collaborating with the Educational Secretary to embezzle the Teachers Salary.
The affected Teachers are those employed since 2010.

A male correspondent who does not want his name to be printed said: "I have not been Paid for five months since August 2015, I was only paid d yearly Areas which I believe if the State Governor did not recognise us, I will not be paid.
A test was also conducted by the State Government to verify and update the data of Teachers working in the State but we are sidelined" .
We approach the ES and the Chairman of Kudan LG to complain but he told us that the test is not mandatory. When we insist he gave us a fake question Paper and refuse to submit it to the State Government.

Another female correspondence lamented that she find it hard at this recession period to be working without salary. She said : "I have not miss any class since the issue happened"
She also insist that if she is relief of her duty, it needs to be formal and with a relief letter.
She urge the state Governor and the commissioner of Education Kaduna State to come to there Aide.

The affected Schools are all the School in Kudan LG having Staffs employed from 2010.
Pls share this information until it gets to the Governors Desk or to the Commissional of Education Kaduna State.
