Romance / Re: Marriage: He Wants Me To Wait Until I'm 32 by oluyoko(f): 1:47pm On Apr 22, 2008
It would be easy for others to give advice when they are not in your shoes. You yourself need to clarify a few things within yourself. How well do you know this guy? if you consider your age, you can marry anything that will marry you. (no offence to the 'anything' brothers). If you are sure he loves you and he will be with you after he has achieved everything he wants, then you can wait for him. he could change his mind in two years you can never tell.

Another thing is to take it up in prayer, this could be God's way of letting you know that he is not the one for you. you need to consider everything before you marry a person. People need to stop marrying for marrying sake. this whole marriage thing is getting ridiculous. someone listed a few questions. take them into consideration and then decide what you want to do. the thing is not to forget that God has made the person for you, make sure he is either that person or move on and find that person. Also marriage is for life. although there is divorce but that is not a good thought when you have not even gotten married yet. Also God hates divorce. Malachi 2:16.

think about it.
Romance / Re: My Girlfriend And I Are Both AS by oluyoko(f): 3:30pm On Apr 14, 2008
i know you have been in a relationship for a long time. but remember that LOVE can also be found with someone else.
If you two decide to get married, then you should think of only adopting kids. there are loads of kids on the earth that need help.
Risking a child being SS is just a matter of selfishness. the child will be the one who will suffer and he or she might end of resenting you two for it.

really think about it before you decide to take the plunge.
Romance / Re: What Will I Do Make Her Leave Me? by oluyoko(f): 4:49pm On Jun 23, 2006
get married to some one else and get that person to kick her out. she has to leave then. that is if she has some self respect. how could you have dated her for five years knowing you were not going to marry her? you should have left her a long time ago.

you men!!!!!!
Religion / Re: Does Satan Really Eat With His Left Hand? And Other Quranic Discrepancies! by oluyoko(f): 4:57pm On Jun 21, 2006
so that is where that nonsense about left handed people came from!! i always wondered.

it is ironic. it says in the bible (i can't remember the exact passage) that every was wonderfully made by God. I know he made mas, so how can one arm of what God made be evil?!

it is ridiculous. the left is a part of a person. the fact that a person is left handed justs adds to their character. that all it is. can we please stop making people feel bad because they are left handed.

as my pastor says 'We left handed people are the smartest, because we think on the right side of our brains, as opposed to right handed people. who think on the left (wrong) side'
Fashion / Re: Cornrows (Hair Braiding) In Nigeria by oluyoko(f): 3:19pm On Jun 20, 2006
Seun:

Bloody female supremacist sexist piglet woman. angry angry We men deserve equal rights to beauty.

i think Seun need to relax. and who are you calling supremacist and sexist?! boy you need to recognise!!!!!!!
Fashion / Re: Cornrows (Hair Braiding) In Nigeria by oluyoko(f): 1:18pm On Jun 16, 2006
personally i do not like men with braided hair. it is a bit too much for me. his hair might look nicer than mine. and we cannot have that.

I know that some people in Nigeria are homophobic, but to each his own as i always say. i am not condoning homosexuality. i think it is sordid. and we also have to consider the fact that the people who made the statements are the older generation where things are black and white. there is no grey area. i personally do not think braiding of hair promotes homosexuality, but if they feel that it does, well people need to abide by their rules. they are the leaders and we need to respect their authority.

I like the man's thinking to an extent. just because other countries allow their player to do it, does not mean we should follow suit. if the whole world want to jump of a bridge, you are not morally obliged to do the same. use your head, that is why God gave it to you. there is a brain in there for a reason. think people.
TV/Movies / Re: 'Dangerous Sisters': A Movie Worth Watching? by oluyoko(f): 4:43pm On May 18, 2006
i have seen this movie and i think it is one of the worst Nigerian movies made in a while.

i could not even finish it. i skipped half of the first part and glanced over the second one. when i found out there was a part 3 i was fuming. how can they make a third part to that kind of film? just because one of the main actors is from London.
waste of time and space, that was 2 hours of my life i cannot get back.

Who am i that You are mindful of me

Is it true that You were thinking of Me
that You love me
Its amazing (3x)

Cuz I am a friend of God (3x)
He calls me friend

God almighty
Lord of Glory
You have called me friend.

i absolutely love this song.
Religion / Re: Speaking In Tongues: What's That All About? by oluyoko(f): 3:28pm On May 12, 2006
this is the funniest discussion i have ever read. i was rollling around on the floor in tears.
I did not think a discussion about speaking in tongues could be SO funny.

But seriously, speaking in tongues is a gift from God as everyone has said. some people do fake it, but as my mother says,'God know who serves Him'. If you are faking it to impress others, you are not helpling yourself.
You do not have to speak in tongues to be filled with the holy spirit. Speaking in tongues is one of the evidences of the presence of the holy spirit but not necessarily the only evidence.

so don't be fooled by everyone who speaks in tongues. Ask God to give you an insight into the whole thing and He will explain things to you.

wow, my list is going to be so long;

1 ) i would slap Beyonce for being so loud and going out with Jay Z.
2) Tom Cruise for being a cradle snatcher. the girl is too young for him.
3) Michelle Williams for taking everything lying down.
4) Most of the Nigerian actors for trying to hard to be American or English.
5) Gangsta rappers for not thinking their music affected others.
6) Genuwine for not living up to his full potential. that song 'Differences' was a song and a half. it was goooood.
Music/Radio / Re: Church Songs, Hymns by oluyoko(f): 7:11pm On Feb 23, 2006
well there are some old ones that are really good.

Alpha Omega
You are worthy of my praises today
You are worthy of my praises today.

Immortal God
Invisible God
Immortal God
how great thou art.

then there is this one:

Thank you Jesus
the lover of my soul
Alpha omega
you are worthy to be praised
in all generations
there is no one like you
Alpha Omega
You are worthy to be praised.

i like that last one.
Music/Radio / Re: What Songs Are You Really Tired Of? by oluyoko(f): 2:13pm On Feb 23, 2006
Any Mariah Carey song, at the moment. i am tired of hearing them. I think they are played twice every hour and I just want to break the radio. if you see a black girl shouting at the radio in her car, well that's me.
Music/Radio / Re: Best Nigerian Artists? by oluyoko(f): 2:09pm On Feb 23, 2006

If he is jealous, that meens that he has unfulfilled needs, which contradicts him being perfect.

watch your words. that is all i am saying.
Religion / Re: What Do You Feel About Black Jesus? by oluyoko(f): 1:35pm On Feb 22, 2006
Jesus being black has become such an issue among black people, but i do not see the reason why. If we follow the teachings of Jesus, it should not matter the colour of his skin. and the only reason he was potrayed as a white man in all the movies is because the white people made it, and somehow i doubt if they would go out of their way to look for an actor who is predominately Jewish. i know i wouldn't. it is about the message and not what race is potraying it. if Jesus was Chinese and a Japanese man acted the part, would you mind? you would not care.

and by the way, Egyptians are considered Egyptians. No one really cares the colour of their skin. at least i don't.
Religion / Re: If You Could Ask God One Question by oluyoko(f): 1:12pm On Feb 22, 2006
"Because He's supposed to be all powerful, isn't He?"

I know he is all powerful. but why is it that we humans always blame him when things go wrong, but do not remember to thank him when things are going right?

He is the all powerful God, but we also need to realize that He is also a jealous God. if you had a child, and all the child did was ask you for things and always blamed you when bad things happened, and the child never thanked you for what you had done for him or her,how would you feel about that child? i know how i would feel.
Religion / Re: If You Could Ask God One Question by oluyoko(f): 2:13pm On Feb 21, 2006
I would ask him, how He can be soo patient. there is so much stuff going on in the world. a lot of people say things, and i wonder why God is still so patient. i think that is why humans cannot even comprehend the things that God does. When i think about it, i say, if i were God, the whole world would be over.

people ask stupid questions like 'where was God when the Tsunami happened?' but if they win the lottery they say it was luck.
Why is God always to blame when things go wrong?!
Romance / Re: My Boyfriend Came From Holland And Abandoned Me For Other Girls by oluyoko(f): 2:02pm On Feb 21, 2006
I think it is time you moved on. if he did not think twice before leaving you for other girls, he is not worth the trouble or the time you are spending thinking of him.

as i heard in a movie once "put on your best dress, wear your make up and treat yourself to a day of luxury. you never know you might meet the man of your dreams"

go on girl. you can do it. he is not worth the effort or the tears. just whatever you do, do not think all men are the same, there are still some good ones out there.
Politics / Re: 16 Killed In Nigerian Cartoons Riots by oluyoko(f): 5:07pm On Feb 20, 2006
people are too quick to jump on the band wagon. just because they are protesting and fighting else where, does not give you the go ahead to fight. and why are Nigerians always too late? the whole thing is starting to die down then they decide to start their own. are they just hearing about it?

another thing, with the number of things that has been said about Christianity, if they started burning down mosques, temples etc, and started killing people, how many people will be left in the world? can someone answer me that?
