Phones / What Lies Have You Been Told About Your Phone? by Omachi006(f): 5:02pm On Nov 29, 2018
Smartphones – don’t you just love these 21st century magic formed in a thin framework that has us fitting the capacity of a computer into our pockets? they help us communicate, we get the first-hand information of happenings around the globe in just one swipe, taking pictures for fun up to professional standard, watching videos, live streaming and playing games on these devices is a whole new level of immersive fun – until the battery drains out.

Battery capacity is one of the major priorities we all look at before getting any smartphone. The frustration and annoyance that comes with running out of battery with no power outlet to charge it up is unimaginable; no wonder we might easily believe any little information we’re told about smartphone batteries. Well, time for myth check; let’s find out which of this battery information is true or false:

Lie 1: you should let your battery drain completely before you charge it.
No you shouldn’t. Batteries used to be stupid in those days but not anymore and we have Lithium-Ion rechargeable batteries to thank for that, which do not need to be charged or depleted fully. However when it comes to power cycle, there is a charge cycle (the number of times you can charge up to 100 percent and run down to 0 percent). That’s why it’s important to always charge which is contrary to this myth.

Lie 2: closing apps and switching off data improves battery life.

Wrong! Instead trying to restart or close the apps drain more battery juice because it will require more CPU resources and hence, more battery. What you can do is to turn off features that are draining the battery life, like data calls or notifications in the background.

Lie 3: charging through a laptop will damage the battery
Again wrong! There is no damage being done here even if you’re using a car charger port, however the charging will be slow and nothing more.

Notwithstanding, here are two power saving tips for an uninterrupted smartphone experience:
1. Use the extra power saving mode on your phone
2. Make sure your operating system is up to date. Now there is the Android 8.1(Go edition) that performs excellently in power management
3. There is definitely a smartphone for everyone; so get yourself an itel P32, one of the best battery smartphone in the market. It has a massive 4000mAH battery capacity, runs on Android 8.1 with quality dual rear cameras for clear artistic shots amongst other features.

Surely one OEM that readily comes to mind as it concerns excellent and long-lasting battery life is itel Mobile. The brand is not relenting in releasing trendy, reliable and affordable smartphones and they definitely put all this battery myths to check. Visit any retail and online store across the country to purchase the perfect battery smartphone for you, itel P32 at an affordable price.

Phones / Re: Android 8.1 Oreo Go Edition: What You Need To Know And Why This Phone Has It by Omachi006(f): 11:09am On Jul 20, 2018
Featuring a 5.5 inch 18:9 full IPS display, the itel P32 ticks the right boxes in the design department with its great aesthetics, wrapped up in an ultra-slim design despite its large battery, making it easy to hold without the fear of the device slipping out of hand.

Other specifications include 8GB+1GB ROM and RAM, quad-core 1.3GHz Processor, a dual rear camera with dual soft flashlights – 5MP+5MP for low night shots with features like portrait mode for bokeh effects, 85-degree angle for wider selfie experience and 5-level real-time beauty, multi-functional fingerprint sensor and other features.

Having the Android 8.1 Oreo Go edition on the device means that all the apps are optimized to take up as less space as possible. SO imagine an app that takes up 300mb normally just using like 90 to 100mb on the itel P32...isn't that cool? The device itself is certified with Google, meaning that you can download any apps you want and enjoy them for as long as you want with the security the OS provides.

The smartphone might not come with any new features, but you can expect it to be a reliable runner with a long battery life. It is available in retail and online stores across the country at an affordable price tag. For more information on the itel P32, check this website www.itel-mobile.com.

Phones / Android 8.1 Oreo Go Edition: What You Need To Know And Why This Phone Has It by Omachi006(f): 11:01am On Jul 20, 2018
The newest update and latest update in the world of technology is Android 8.1 Oreo (Go edition), which it is powered on for excellent performance, as opposed to the usual Android 7.0 Nougat that you find on smartphones these days.

The upgraded operating system is optimized to be faster, smarter and more powerful than ever, tailored to deliver stellar benefits to users such as reimagined apps like YouTube Go and Google Go, enhanced data efficiency and speed, faster startup and app sign in, Google Play protect security scans, smart text selection and newly added full Emoji 5.0 list. This update comes with 70 new emojis along with skin tones for human emojis and many others.

But the major selling point is the brilliant optimization and cool efficiency of the latest OS on devices. And for itel Mobile, partnering with Google to deliver the latest OS on their itel P32 smartphone is a great move. Very soon, I'll show and tell you why this device (itel P32) has it.

Nairaland / General / See The Reasons Why Itel Is Number One Phone Brand. Number 2 Will Shock You by Omachi006(f): 11:59am On Jun 05, 2018
“It’s cheap, it’s just there, it’s for local people”. That’s what a lot of people say about itel phones. I don’t blame the naysayers or the ones who only have negative stuff to say about itel.

They often forget that at the time when people wanted a taste of what their higher class counterparts, who could and still purchase phones of 200k and above, had, itel stepped in and saved the day. itel became the brand that those who want good and affordable phones with the latest Operating Systems and innovations in technology went to and for.

The average Nigerian earns less than a dollar (N361 rate) a day. So imagine how long they have to save to buy an iPhone, Samsung or HTC phone. Most likely, they’d have to save for 2 WHOLE YEARS or more to buy a high-end phone. And then we end up drinking water for another person's headache.

What I mean is, a lot of people even go into debt in the name of "let me have what my mates have". You may say it's better than stealing. But there's nothing like buying something and owning it without stress.

And there is the beauty of a brand like itel Mobile. Its affordability, beauty, and plain availability. The average Nigerian, as well as the student who needs a phone that can browse the internet, take good pictures, even play games on, is what itel Mobile provides.

itel considers the pocket of its target market and actually gives them what they can afford. Nobody should argue with me (I have a headache). grin

Apart from that, I’ve been following their CSR efforts for a while now and I can truly say that itel Mobile is doing a great job in Nigeria and Africa.

In the first quarter of this year, more than 2 million units of itel phones have been sold. So, yes, affordable is the in-thing now and itel is providing that for all of us…even for those who say they can never use itel phones.

This is the number one reason why itel is NUMBER ONE…you actually join and enjoy with them at an affordable price.

Gbese is not good. Don't je gbese because you want to be among.

Phones / Re: Why Every Sensible Nigerian Should Avoid Tecno, Infinix And Itel Brands by Omachi006(f): 1:08pm On May 23, 2018
OK, fine. Let's say that is truly his point. But bros, I believe you are a free-thinking person and that you're aware of the myriads of problems we have in Nigeria. From the high rates of unemployment, power failure, lack of security, and more, would YOU, want to establish a manufacturing plant here? In a country where a large percent of leaders are more concerned with filling their pockets and leaving their constituencies to suffer for it? Would you open a plant where your materials can be stolen with impunity and the government would rather sit back than help you out?

Would you still fault them?

If you didn't know, the company behind these phones employs hundreds of people in Nigeria which is great. From promoters, marketers, accountants, engineers, etc, they are actually contributing to the social and economic landscape beyond ways that feeble minds can grasp.

So bros, point or no point, itel, Infinix and Tecno phones are affordable and are fine with Nigerians. Cheers.

ubev01:
you missed his point i believe. He said there are more users in Nigeria than the entire population of Ethiopia. So Nigeria deserves a manufacturing plant ahead of Ethiopia. That's his point, tackle that. Cheers
Phones / Re: Why Every Sensible Nigerian Should Avoid Tecno, Infinix And Itel Brands by Omachi006(f): 1:00pm On May 23, 2018
Obviously dude, they sent you. grin Eez like you have plenty money to buy phones for the millions of Nigerians who are living below the 1 dollar poverty line. cheesy

Here's the thing; these phones you're accusing of being subpar have provided sources of income for people. People who cannot afford to buy Samsung, HTC, Sony or other high-end phones, were you planning to have them STEAL? Or join a robbery gang created by you so that they can afford these phones?

I do feel like you were paid to do this but unfortunately for you and whoever sent you, people will always buy Tecno, Itel and Infinix phones. You can only rant but in the end, it would be all for nothing.

BTW, Tecno, Infinix and itel do have backup systems where you can store your files and apps. It's obvious you don't know anything about these phones but that's unfortunate (for you).

Ladies and gents, buy what you can afford and enjoy it for as long as it lasts. Don't be bothered by naysayers who most likely have been paid to write negatively about other brands.

Phones / Seriously, Here's What I Think About Itel A32F by Omachi006(f): 4:49pm On May 18, 2018
Phones and other mobile devices are now more than stuff to be held in your hands. They are now highflying tech solutions that fit and fix all our needs as users – from basic call times to SMS, to surfing the Internet, to entertainment, and even gaming, the possibilities of what mobile devices can do for users are endless.

But finding that smartphone device that comes with the total consumer package at an entry level may be a bit challenging because there is a pool of devices in the open market. Therefore, as a first-time smartphone user, I made the right choice, one you would thank me for when I am done.

Interestingly, the itel A32F does not fall short of my expectation as a user. itel A32F is the kind of mobile device that redefines the idea of owning and using a smartphone for the first time after years of using feature phones.

As a user and a potential consumer who had a great desire to make a switch from my feature phone to a smartphone, I wanted a device that placed my data security in focus. Unlike other entry devices, I scouted out for – itel A32F, a device which features a fingerprint sensor that integrates me as a user into the ‘premium data security realm’ as a smartphone user. itel A32F made me one of the trendiest smartphone users in town. Are you wondering how? Get yours to understand how the experience ball rolls.

In addition, I am very impressed with its operating system. A32F runs on the AndroidTM 8.1 (Go edition). With this device, I have been able to enjoy a much speedy internet usage on a little data consumption, as I can. We all know data is a problem, but I do not need to go through the hassle of calculating my data when my device does the management for me.

When the size of this phone is considered, I will just summarize the experience as sleek. itel A32F has a finely designed with 8.2mm body size and a 5.0-inch FWVGA big screen, yet this device fit perfectly into my pockets as much as it would fit into your purses.

In terms of storage, the experience is top notch. I cannot go on to explain how I have been able to maximize the device’s 1GB RAM and 8GB ROM, which can be expanded up to 32GB. With 1.3GHz quad-core processor, the possibility of videos and gaming coupled with a 5-inch screen is endless.

itel A32F was just an awesome transition for me into the smartphone realm. It redefines the concept of entry-level smartphones when compared to other devices in its calibre and fibre. It has given me a sense of belonging and a longing for more because it has set the stone for superiority in terms of smartphone choice and usage.

Itel Mobile is here again with their latest itel A32F phone. Itel A32F has a fingerprint scanner, Android 8.1 Go edition and goes for N20,500 only.
itel Mobile has proved again that they are certainly no pushovers within the smartphone OEM space. They have also shown that they really want to remain one of Africa’s most productive mobile phone brands.

After seeing reports and claims circulating the internet regarding the features of the soon to be released A32F device at that time, I made it a note of duty to myself to critically follow the events that would lead up to acquiring the smartphone to personally evaluate the extent of efficiency on the A32F.

Meet the new itel A32F:

The A32F device is a truly a delight to behold with its sleek 148x70.5x8.2mm Body Size and 5-inch Full Wide Video Graphics Array screen. It possesses a 1.3GHz Quad-Core Processor for easy multitasking and for constant optimum use of the device without issues of lagging. It also comes with a 5MP Auto Focus Rear Camera. The device boasts of 1GB RAM+ 8GB ROM expandable up to 32GB to ensure you can save tons of pictures, videos and files.

The latest Android 8.1 OS (Go Edition) on the phone mode has platform optimizations designed to reduce mobile data usage whilst using the device. The itel A32F comes with a fingerprint scanner that ensures the safety of vital files on the device and is powered by 2050mAh battery that guarantees several hours of standby time. All these and more made accessible at a pocket-friendly price.
