Show me one legacy of Obi that we can see today, just one. Obi has no long term vision and sustainable development plans. All his efforts l, if any, are in the dustbin of history. What about the 250 million laundered by Obi? Why did Obi invest government money in his family business? Is that probity or corruption? Why did Obi keep his state’s money in his bank where he has major shareholding?

You cannot pull wool over our eyes. We know the truth.

Anambra state University Igbariam was built by Obi. Anambra state teaching hospital Anaku was built by Obi. What's next

🇳🇬 Everybody wants to play for the Super Eagles now. Another young German-born striker, Justin Njinmah, who is playing for Werder Bremen, has expressed his interest in representing Nigeria after hearing from a friend that the NFF may be monitoring his performance.

According to Njinmah, the Super Eagles' latest interest is motivating him to perform better because it would be a nice experience to play alongside Victor Osimhen and other great players in the Super Eagles.

He acknowledged the massive competition in the Super Eagles' front lines but still believed that he can break into the team when the opportunity arises.

What would be the reason for the recent increase of interest to play for Super Eagles ?

#copied

Any decent midfielders (attacking midfielders preferably) is welcome because right now we have enough strikers and defenders. All we need is reinforcement in these areas

I actually want Peseiro out just like I want Tinubu out. We need a coach that can bring out the attacking football in our SE. We need to play beautiful attacking football. And the two coaches that comes to mind are Amunike and Siasia

martinez is more of a complete 9 than thuram

Thuram started his career as a winger in ligue 1 before been converted to a striker

No, he is not. And I dont know what you meant by "more complete." In what sense? Thuram is a top marksman with the requisite height. Lauturo is more skillful but lacks that imposing presence as a striker. If I have the choice to choice between the two who would start as a 9, Thuram would be my first choice.

I don’t know why I am not a big fan of that Martinez guy

I prefer his striking partner Thuram. That guy is good and underrated

I feel the same way, too. But Martinez is not a pure 9. Thuram is a classic 9 I guess that's why. But can't take anything away from Arturo Martinez. He plays a different role but definitely not a 9 like Thuram, Osimhen or Haaland

Security operatives have arrested the suspected killers of the President-General of Umuoji Community in Idemili North local government area, Chief Silas Onyima.

Onyima was dumped inside his bathtub in his house after he was murdered. Security operatives said the suspects who were believed to be the masterminds of the dastardly act have been tracked and arrested.

One of the suspects, an indigene of Ebonyi State, is Onyima’s tenant and he was said to be in possession of the late PGs phones, ATM cards, his gun and so many other items in his house.

The suspected killer was said to be a son of the caregiver to Silas Onyima’s late mother who was accommodated in the deceased compound.

He was also said to have been withdrawing money from the deceased account before they were nabbed.

It was gathered that Onyima had given him quit notice to vacate his premises because of his alleged links with diabolism, which, according to the information, infuriated him and made him to hatch the plan to kill the PG.

It was also gathered that the late Onyima had before his death complained to his wife and some of his friends about threats he received from the man.

The Anambra State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, confirmed the arrest of some suspects in connection with the murder.

The suspects have been taken to the Divisional Police Station in Ogidi for interrogation.

The PPRO said the police are already working on the suspects with a view to getting reasonable information from them, adding that at the appropriate time, their identities would be made public.

This is how an illustrious son of Umuoji, Ichie Ogidi n'Okodu lost his life to a person he accommodated. Chief Silas Onyima , an accomplished engineer, a fine gentleman who has brought innovative ideas to Umuoji town union was murdered by some persons suspected to be from Ebonyi.

Igwulube Okodu will teach these people an unforgettable lesson!

I knew from description that you were talking about Ogun state free trade zone.

Worked there Jan 2020 as a production supervisor, got unconfirmed by the managements and advised to leave by end of March. The same month I got interview call of my current job.
work from 7am to 7pm for 2 weeks and 7pm to 7am for another 2 weeks. We have an hour break, they started feeding us since the outbreak of the pandemic. Sundays was our only off days.
I saw the money but I was lean as a dying patient.

Thank God for taking me out of that hell hole.

Let me correct your mindset, the government's responsibility is not to provide employment for her citizens. In any country, the government does not and the citizens do not expect not place a demand on the government to provide employment.

I know these things already. Stop talking to yourself. The government is supposed to develop laws that protect her citizens from being exploited. Everyone knows this!

You are both ignorant and insensitive to the young man's plight. You want him to give up his life because your government who was supposed to provide him with decent employment failed him and now these wicked Chinese people are exploiting our African brothers. You need to see how stressful this jobs are. These Chinese employers work our people to death!

I had a close relative who was doing the same job some years back and they were paying him 8000 naira monthly for a 12 hours shift of which they are required to work 6 days a week. When he told me this I was so angry I wanted to send street boys to that factory and burn it down. To make matters worse, they added Sundays to their working days with same pay. I made him quit the job and started taking care of his financial needs.

The conditions these Chinese people employ our people to work in is nothing less than slavery. If I was a governor I will enact a law to protect my citizens health, pay rate. If my people had to work such inhuman hours then must pay them nothing less that 300,000 monthly or I close that slave camp. Our leaders are simply wicked

Unlike other cities in Nigeria
There no where you can drive 20km within onistha,
20km drive in onistha you are already in nnewi grin😂

Aba and Enugu has always been the biggest cities in

You have phone

Stop believing in main market gist grin

He knows this
He knows what he is doing
That's why he was trying to smuggling in the metropolis talk
Which includes more than half of Anambra and huge part of IMO
All this
Posting one particular picture from different angles, on a city built on just 2 roads will not change anything

So much for an Anambra boy....did you forget yourself ?? Abeg, go sleep.

I just hate it

If you still bring another topic like
owerri Vs ABA
I will support owerri
Am not blinded by sentiments of emotions
I don't even engage in tribalism here on nairaland
Because being blinded by sentiments or bigotry shows a wasted education

That aside
Back to the matter on ground
Going by your analogy
Lagos been the smallest state should have narrow roads everywhere?
Because I know for sure it's smaller than Anambra

Also
The debate is not even about Anambra state
But onistha and awka
Stop bringing Anambra to it

A city is known by how organised it's
In which
Onistha is no where organised
Same with awka
Any city built on one or 2 roads
Is not qualified to be a city
To start with
A city should have multiple double lanes roads
At least to the bearest minimum
Interconnecting township surbud

Listen up , I know my Anambra people very well , because by their fruit we shall know them. Your type are littered all over this forum claiming to be Onye Anambra because they know their state doesn't worth a crap. We know you are not from Anambra state. Stop the CAP!

I hate dishonest people. You are obviously not from Anambra state because your jealousy gives you out so easily.

You claimed Anambra so you can comfortably drag out state without being checked because you know you couldn't confidently compare your state to Anambra and win.

You dont have pictures because you have nothing to defend or be proud of. Abia state is 50 years behind Anambra in infrastructures and development.

We have the best school system, the best healthcare system and the best country roads in south east and we have receipts to prove it.

Please how many dualized roads are in awka
Compare to umuahia?
Every election census in Nigeria
Has always showed that umuahia has more population than awka
(Research about it)

Is there any market in awka as big or as organised as ubani main market?
Talking about expansion
Hope you are aware that a suburb of umuahia is inside IMO state (Malaysian market, obowo onuimo axis)
And Abia governor is currently constructing the road that leads to there, umuahia through umudike axis has expanded towards Ikot-epkene
Where has awka as a city expanded to?

Do you see road side seller all around umuahia major roads?

I blame Abia state people for this comparison!
They don't take pictures or do videos

When you get to your state take pictures and create a thread for your state. These nonsense you type here is not proven.

Anambra is the smallest state in Nigeria above Lagos , therefore the roads tend to be narrow. Even here in the United states, if you go to a state like Louisiana or Atlanta, Georgia the roads tend to be narrower than Houston, TX due to the size of the land. So , if your definition of infrastructures is based on the numbers of dualized roads then you are quite ignorant.

Secondly, you are not from Anambra!

When last did you visit abakaliki?

Abakaliki infrastructure is mind blowing, it's is light Years ahead of Awka and I'm not even joking.

Currently, Abakaliki is 3rd most organized city in Southeast.

What indices are you using to measure development that Abakaliki will not dwarf Awka? Tell me

Hahaha. I dont know who is doing these ratings but I disagree. I have not seen anything tangible in Abakaliki that will make me to place it over Awka. The areas where these said infrastructures were concentrated in Abakaliki is negligible. The whole intent was to create buzz and never to actually turn the town around.

*The bridge was not needed.

*The mall was not needed. Its actually empty as we speak.

What makes Abakaliki better than Awka is some night pictures with shinning lights. I am embarrassed for people who make these comparisons

You may not compare Umuahia to Onicha because they serve different purposes. Umuahia is an administrative centre while Onicha is a commerce city.

You don't understand where Anambra was before Obiano took over. Anambra was on the verge of greatness before Obiano took us 10 years back. So many roads were built across the state. Especially in the northern part of the state. Obiano failure created the problems Soludo is facing today

As far as southeast in concerned in my opinion, Onitsha and Awka are not in the top 4 most developed cities and this is not even beefing.
Anambra may be the most built state in southeast but in terms of public infrastructure, Anambra cities are poor.

My top 4 cities in southeast are Enugu, Owerri, Aba, Abakaliki.

Nsukka has more road infrastructures inside the town than Onitsha and Awka and I'm not even capping. The dualized road from opi junction to Bishop Shanahan in Nsukka, you won't see such road inside a town NY where In Anambra state.

I dont get involved in this comparison because I don't want to get into unnecessary arguments with my fellow Igbo but I agree Onicha and Awka are not where they need to be due to incompetence of Obiano.
Apart from the fact that Onicha was completely abandoned by Willie Obiano who didn't follow up where Obi left off you have to factor the fact that Onicha and Anambra state is the fastest growing economy in south east which means there has to be an aggressive infrastructural push to even the development trend. My point is that Onicha cant be compared to ABA. Onicha has more pressing problems than Aba but I am not making excuses for Obiano. Obiano failed woefully as a governor. Onicha collapsed under Obiano.

As for Awka, I don't know why any informed observer would compare Awka to Owerri and Enugu city. These two towns are some of the oldest capitals ever created and it wont be fair to compare them to Away which was a more recent creation.

As for Abakaliki, I disagree with you. I have seen those Abakaliki pictures I found it offensive when compared to Awka.
