Now politicians will sit tight. We need to vote underperforming leaders out at all levels. Well done Osun people. The hardship in nigeria did not affect your ability to stand up for your future.
Nigerians lets arise and vote all these bad leaders out.

We are so divided in this country. Instead of people being objective with their comments and criticise results, they are busy attacking ethnic groups. I believe most of us commenting here are youths. I pity this generation. We seem to be even worse of than our heroes past. Nigeria wake up.

EMS NIPOST. The most unreliable courier service one can ever think of. Use them at your own risk.

EE330071485NG. I posted this document to Australia on the 6th September. Please can someone advise me on the situation with my document. I was told it will take 7working days for an EMS service. The last info on trackitonline and AUSPOST was only updated on the 7th. It indicated that items were inserted in the bag at LAGOS Air. Please help out somebody. Cheers

Way less, I reckon.

Thank you immensely for this, I thought as much too that it will likely be higher this period. It should be lesser in February I think.

Congratulations and welcome to Australia.
Contact IOM Via iomnigeria@iom.int; with oabikoye@iom.int; and OAjaegbu@iom.int in copy.
The fare ain't steady and same. It all depends on the part of Australia you're heading to. It also depends on when you want to travel as the festive season is setting in with travel costs on the rise.
I got a ticket to Tassie last week and the total cost was 455k one-way per person.
Once again, I say a big congratulations and God's grace ahead.
Eladua:
So, finally it is my turn to testify.

It's a 489 visa, and my advice for some especially the single ones, if 190 is taking time to get coz of your English test or something, just go with the 489 instead of continuous waiting, before you know it another policy will come up.

Pls anyone that has info on if IOM help with travel tickets for 489 applicants and the process should pls advice.

Alphador is absolutely correct. That an occupation is flagged by DOET doesn't mean DIBP is not accepting applications. My occupation was flagged in 2016/2017 Immi year by DOET and was finally removed from the SOL effective July 1st 2017.
Up till June 2017 invitation rounds, my colleagues were receiving invitations and grants.
So that assertion is not correct.
My lovely people on this forum, if you have your occupation flagged, it's a wake up call and you need to move faster if you really choose to migrate.
Some flagged occupations still remain on the FOL for more than a year before it's removed.
God's grace people.

Like Zibe earlier said, you must not claim work experience points. Your best option is to nail english test. Check the criterion from your assessing body. If you satisfy them, you shouldn't be having any problems.
DIBP checks that you've been positively assessed and you meet up with the minimum points.
My thoughts.
kevincal144:
I have checked and my course of study was on the list but the problem is that I have never worked for anybody or any organization in my life before. I own my business. I meet every other requirement apart from the work experience stuff, hope it won't bring me down as the business I do doesn't have anything to do with the course I studied

Welcome onboard. Your friend in Oz is not correct, as a lot of persons on this thread obtained PR grants while fully resident in Nigeria and holding nigerian Bsc/Msc Certificates.
The first step is to check through the SOL/CSOL list to nominate an occupation based on your qualification(s) and/or work experience. Feel free to ask questions here.

I just started following this thread yesterday. I have read a few pages out of the thread, no much time to read through all the pages. Please my Oga them, I really need una help via this skilled migration stuff to Australia. I'm a bsc holder in biotechnology n is above 25 years of age. I wanted to apply for the skilled migration visa but my friend who is Resident in Australia said I am not eligible for the skilled migration based on the fact that I didn't graduate from an Australian university. He said I should apply for student visa that it's the only means I can migrate to Australia for now. Please my Oga them I need una advice based on this my matter. Thanks to you all as you direct me

No please. You need your Skills Assessment to fill up your EOI. You would be requested to fill in your Skills Assessment Reference Number whilst filling your EOI. So I reckon you concentrate on your Skills Assessment and english test (if not already sorted).

Hi everyone . Can I fill in the EOI before my assessment. I am still gathering my documents.
Secondly can I send my transcripts myself to AITSL together with other document.

You do stand a chance. You should be getting about 10points for your experience and 15for your degree. You should hit 65points if you get 20points in IELTS. Generally you'd go as far as your determination can take you. My advise is get all your employment documentation together. All the best.

Hello All.
Thanks to the poster of this thread and all the contributors. Though I took time to go through most of the pages but coudn't exhaust all the 485 pages. Please I need some specific answers (apologies if they have been asked before but I missed), so I know if I can start, because of the financial outlay involved. I wouldn't want to start what I can't finish

My Age is 20points
My spouse has Msc Geology
I am picking the job supply and distribution manager even though my experience of 7 years is in warehouse management (closely related)
I have Bsc and MBA
I believe I can get the 20points for PTE

Please I need real advice from those that know what's on ground if with the details highlighted above I can get the required points. DO I STAND A CHANCE? (considering I'm going to spend about 300k for both the assessment and english test, I think).

Thanks all

mamajaz:

No vex for the accusation bro. You know "we" ( I and the triplets inside my pregnancy ) don dey defend you nah.
@STAugustineOf13, gently oh. It is well.
That being said, I want to appreciate people who rose to my situation these past 6 weeks or more.
AHPRA actually wanted some docs from me, about four. I was able to get three, but my professional body ( Nursing and Midwifery council Nigeria) couldn't get a sheet of paper signed from 11th September till 19th October. Several efforts were made, chief Bellong was with me through it all, Kingbukaz tried all within his ability, Nanlop was at the council for me, and three other people on different occasions, oscar offered to help out too, Monica was there, Jamson, Bnimz, mctowel01, Teejay80, Sol and many others were with me in the situation. Unfortunately, my application was withdrawn on the 25th of this month ( the withdrawal note ought to have been given me on 22nd). The stress of the ups & downs, financial commitment which the bleeped up people at the helms of affairs caused me were much on me and the sadness of unfruitful efforts were heavy on me.. To make matters worst, I got the letter few hours after my application was withdrawn.
...but through it all, I've learnt to depend upon the lord.
I want to appreciate my family members ( blood & efam). May God crown our efforts with success, Rinzylee, ugsams, you're much respected. How can I forget phlunter01, my sister and counselor in all these, or nkechima who left her own travail to pray with me in the scorching sun of unyielding manager?? God bless you all. May God "say yes" to our migration dreams.

[Good question. Your really should consider the listed factors. I live in Tassie and job opportunities are not easy to come by compared to the mainland cities. Those of us in Tassie are considering relocating. So guys, do your home work meticulously. Professions in high demand are the medical practitioners certified in australia as well.

Lotta questions to be answered...not just jumping to any and every states. What’s life like in Tasmania? (Un)Employment rate? Cost of living? Etc. It’s a welcome development, however insight into the state will be important too. My thought only. [/quote]

In my candid opinion, attempt IELTS or PTE nd replace TOEFL. Target 8 points in all bands. That will put less pressure on you in terms of work experience. I believe the engineers in the house Will put you through EA assessments and all. Furthermore, make out time and go through the threads from 0. You'd be amazed at the information you would have gathered. My thoughts.

Greetings abujaNIV. Fantastic job you're doing. My wife, daughter and i got our b1/b2 visas in 2014. The visa was issued in Abuja.
The visas have expired and we plan to renew them via dropbox. Initial was issued in abuja, and we are now based in Australia. Can we renew our visas via dropbox here in Australia? Would we be required to attend interviews?

What's d importance of the highlighted?

While uploading documents to immigration website (after your invitation to apply), you'll see "Superannuation" in the drop down list as evidence of employment. Superannuation is same as PFA.
PFA is a strong proof you were actually working as your pension would be deducted from your salary before you receive your pay.... This was my case and I believe so many other people can attest to this.
In my situation, I uploaded my pension summary. It reflected the companies I worked for and the contributions made.
In my experience. Everything you tell immigration should correlate, that's all they want.

The proof of employment you have is good enough. I didn't provide that much though... In my case, Employment Letters, Payslips(4 for each year), Reference Letters from company, IBTC Pension Statement from the first year of work till present.

I advice you change your passport to your husbands name as long as you're including him in the application. It just avoids unnecessary requests for additional documents from case officers. My thought.

Gurus in the house special good afternoon to you all, i must say you guys are the best have come to meet, More grace to you all, please i have being a silent follower to this group trying to read from the beginning which am still doing but please i need some clarification now as am abt to rergister on Austrilia Engineer portal for my assessment.
THIS IS MY PLIGHT

Am a chemical engineer in discipline currently doing my MSc in engineeing, but I work as a Maintenance Enginner in one of the multinationals as a contract staff, supporting the department on materials/equipments, planning/scheduling and others for 5years now.

I dont know which way to follow if i should use my work experience or my degree for my CDR application. wch will fetch me a better point?

Also, should i use the multinational company's name or my mather company that is written in my employment letter, though its clearly stated that am to render service to the multinational company on my JD. I will prefer to use the multinational name because its a well know company in the world and that may be a edge to me. Please your candid advise will help.

though i still have other issues but will run with this.

Thanks so ,uch for this humble house. am new though.

I advice you use the Company name stated on your employment letter. Your employer is not the multinational but the contracting firm. This is my candid opinion.

Good morning house,

Please what are the documents that I need to submit to prove employment?

I submitted employment letter, acceptance of resignation, reference letter, salary increase letter, 6 pay slips, bank statements showing beginning and end of employment, tax card, ID card and stanbic ibtc pension statements.

I don't have my tax statement. I will have to patronize LIRS to get that.

1. Hope the ones I submitted are fine or do I need to get the tax statements?

2. I didn't submit any document for my recent self employment since it is not relevant to the claimed points and I don't have anything to submit. Is this in order?

Thank you

In my opinion, what you've submitted is more than enough for employment. In my case, I only submitted Employment Letters including Confirmation. , offshore service records.

Good morning my people.
Please what is the interpretation/implication of the message below:

Examinations ready for assessment – no action required
The required health examinations have been completed and submitted by the panel clinic to the department. This person's case will be processed or referred to the department's migration medical services provider, Bupa Medical Visa Services, for further assessment.

Thanks

In addition to Bellong"s comments....
It just means that you may have concluded with the medicals but the panel clinic is yet to finalise your results and upload on e-medical.
Once you're all clear, you'll see No action required.............and so on. It won't be long form now. Sit and relax.

Well, you know why we need that 8.0!!! So, there's no such thing as good score when I've to repeat. And no such thing as good try when I've to pay the cost of attempting again in this Buhari economy, hahaa. Subclass 190 is not an option for me oh, lol. 8.0 is achievable, I know what caused my low score. My Essay 2 was about 220 which was less than 250. I realised this after concluding and with 5mins left, I got nervous. The speaking was my worst testing experience, I was let down by my lack of manners; the interviewer scolded me for not knocking the door before entering, she stressed on it and conducted the test with an indifferent tone and gesture; again, that got me nervous, and that's why I wanted to change test, lol.

Go for it. That's the spirit.

Hi Esty,
Not too sure what your school's process is like. In my case, I asked the school to endorse a student copy for me. That's what I've used since then. So I reckon you ask your school for a copy.
