Wow!!! Delay is never denial, God is good!! A big Congratulations to your family!! folla: WHAT GOD CANNOT DO, DOES NOT EXIST!
God has shown mercy to me and my children.
My SOWP and my 3 children's Study Visa applications have been approved by IRCC.
1st Applications
Our 1st applications made in June 2021 were all refused on 25th September 2021. The main concern of the VO, as revealed in the GCMS note, was that my wife, who is a Masters student in BC, filled on her application form that her family would not accompany her to Canada. The VO questioned the truthfulness of my wife's statement in her application, when we now applied for visas while she was still in Nigeria. VO said other things which we considered circumstantial.
I came on this platform then to seek for advice and I really obtained valuable advice from members. What did we do?
2nd Applications
We filed another set of applications on 8th November 2021 with my wife explaining the reasons for her change in plan. We filed additional documents showing stronger home ties by exhibition of pictures of our parents, affidavits of birth of our parents and affidavit of births of my siblings. I also exhibited share certificate, receipt of payment of professional dues, together with landed property. I showed rent receipts issued to our tenants.
Along the line, my wife wrote her MP sometime in February 2022 seeking for a status update on our applications. The response was that criminality check was passed and nothing more. Our upfront medicals expired in April 2022, but I refused to go for any more upfront medicals. If they are ready, they will contact us. I was drained, both emotionally and psychologically, noting that the journey began in June 2021. I only held on to God, as a lot was at stake.
There was a time I read an email IRCC had sent to someone here requesting for updated transcripts of his student spouse. I took the initiative by sending my wife's updated transcripts sometime in late April 2022. I have a feeling this had a positive impact on our applications.
Boom, medical request showed for my children and I on 16th May 2022. We quickly sent an email to QLife who gave us an appointment in about 9 days later. Medicals were updated to "pass" for my children on 7th June, while they got their PPR on 9th June. For me, my medical was updated to "pass" on 8th June, while my PPR only came on 29th June.
In between my children's PPR and 29th June, I sent their passports to Abuja the penultimate Monday and we received the stamped passports on 28th June. I almost sent another webform on 29th June with the plan to exhibit my children's visas and seeking a quick response on my application. By 9am on 29th June, 2 "donotreply" emails had come into my inbox.
My wife travelled to BC since September 2021, leaving me with 3 active boys, while IRCC kept playing the delay game. Thank God it has ended in praise.
I wish to say a big thank you to members on this forum who were responsive to my questions at the relevant times. Really appreciate.
To everyone still waiting, hang on there. It's not over until you have won. You can't afford to give up. Keep praying and sending the webforms, the golden emails will surface shortly.
Thank you All! 1 Like |

Arrived Amsterdam 7am as Against 5:40am that was scheduled coz the flight was delayed. No document was asked just passport and boarding pass was checked,I found a comfortable chair to sleep, connected to Wi-Fi and was able to chat with family, the 9hrs went by really fast. Amsterdam to Vancouver: Flight time was 9hrs 15mins,flight was good and full,I had more leg room, was able to use the Wi-Fi on board for like an hour,we got refreshments 4times!(a bit too much for me..lol). Boarding gate, only passport and boarding pass was required nobody asked for any other documents,no resumption or enrollment question was asked from Nigeria up to this point. Vancouver: Arrived 5:15,proceeded to the self declaration machine and the the immigration officer who directed me to the office where I’ll get my study permit, all I was asked was the letter of introduction and in less that 3mins he handed me my study permit no questions asked.Na me come dey find wetin i fit ask the guy Then I proceeded to grab my bags, connected to Wi-Fi to notify my folks and also change some dollars to CAD so I have some cash for Taxi,in all I was out of the airport in less than 30mins. |

In my case, I reprinted another 4 months statement because the breakfast came 6 months after, so my sponsor’s account had matured well by the time I got the refusal, I also got a gift deed of 5m in my personal account to cover my expenses. I had also paid my complete school fees. Samlolly28: Please gurus in the house if my application was denied solely on financial situation in my reapplication am I going to submit the same documents I did the first time or I will submit documents showing improved financial situation with a letter or explanation. I need clarity on this guys, especially from those who were denied initially and got PPR on another attempt. Thanks guys. |

Amen! Thank you. I think it’s better I answer the question incase anyone else might be facing same issues. First of all, my Dad had to pay my complete school fees & also transfer my living expenses of about 5m to my account, which I notarized as a gift deed. So, I submitted my 6 months account statement which I didn’t include in the first application. Also, my first application was in Nov, 2021(same time the lump sum happened), my second application didn’t display that lump sum this time instead it was his opening balance & there had been steady inflows from his business transactions so his closing balance was higher. The LOE did the rest of work. (My Agent handled that part) My advise is to either build your account statement well or give a detailed LOE incase of a lump sum I hope this helps. borvick:
Congrats Omoba95, May the land of Canada favour you in Jesus name. Please can you help me with how you tackle to lump sum? my email is borvick@yahoo.com. Thanks a lot.

Goodday Guys!! I am the one the Lord has shown mercy on this glorious day
Kindly join me in thanking the King of Kings & Lord of Lords who made today possible despite how I almost lost faith
With Jesus joy, I announce to that I have received my PPR!!!
Second time applicant
God is too faithful to leave us, just trust in him & you won’t regret it.
I join my faith with everyone still expecting & declare we shall all testify of God’s goodness soonest
(Ps: I had the above saved in my notes in faith before even getting PPR)
I also remember posting sometime in May about receiving PPR before the end of the month & nothing happened, little did I know God had other plans
PPR landed June 1st, 2022, however; I didn’t know about it till June 3rd, 2022.
Timeline below
First Application; Applied Nov 22nd, 2021 Upfront Medicals : April 3rd, 2021 Updated to pass: No idea (didn’t have access to my portal) Eligibility review: No idea (didn’t have access to my portal) Breakfast of life lol: March 23,2022
Reason for refusal: ‘I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, based on personal assets and financial assets’
I cried my eyes out & almost lost all hope, called my agent to ask for a way forward and if I should stop attending classes & defer the remaining semesters. The thought of the time, energy & money spent made the tears roll out well
P.s- I had resumed classes online (started January, 2022),it hasn’t been a funny situation especially with the time difference & economy issues but I thank God & I am currently in my second semester in centennial college. It’s a 2years program.
*Back to my timeline gist* After careful review of my previous application, it was spotted that my Dad’s account(my sponsor) had an explained lump sum of about 13m that entered at once. So we knew where to tackle while waiting for my GCMS notes.
Things I did differently; Gave a detailed LOE of the lump sum Printed a new bank statement, this time the opening balance covered the lump sum with more inflow compared to the last statement I paid my full tuition for the first year Got a notarized gift of deed of 5m in my personal account Submitted my first semester Academic transcript Added a lot of Prayers too (very important)
Second Application: Submitted April 10, 2022 Eligibility review started: May 11, 2022 PPR: June 1st, 2022
I have also booked for a new Medicals since the previous one has expired to avoid immigration stories/wahala, I was surprised I didn’t get a medical request with my second application.
The feeling has been surreal, patiently waiting for my passport because I don’t even know where to start from, any suggestions will be appreciated. 34 Likes |

Submitted my personal bank statement with about 7m My sister’s bank statement with 21m Landed property worth 15m Poultry farm worth about 25m not sure again Receipt for full tuition fee for the first year (tuition was paid from my sister’s account) My sister’s Pension certificate My sister’s evidence of employment My own evidence of employment (pay slips, work ID, appointment letter, introduction letter) IELT with 7.5 overall score Family pictures My birth certificate and that of all my siblings SOP Letter of explanation for lump sum in sponsor’s account (property sold) Sponsorship letter and affidavit of sponsorship Letter of explanation explaining all the documents I submitted for the application These are the key documents, LOA and others were submitted too
As an agent it has always been my job to tell my clients to be patient and relax, but when it came to my turn, it was hard for me to follow my own advice Knowing how unpredictable the Canadian process works.
So I put all my trust in God because nobody can guarantee Canada study permit except God! I drew strength from Psalm 33, each time I get worried I will pray and reassure myself of God’s promises to me with that particular bible verse.
Along the line, I discovered this thread on nairaland and started coming here to draw strength from people’s PPR testimonies. I am happy to share my testimony today. Lol I was at the Gym when the email came people were looking at me crazy I ran home immediately to share the news with my family.
I know how you feel reading this right now, you will pray a silent prayer and then go and check your portal. Don’t worry God will come through for yo, with God you can never lose
With God you can never lose! when God shows up He shows off. My God never fails, Odogwu!! 3 Likes |

I found out about F&R global from nairaland, he has been termed as the guru. I reached out to him and he responded swiftly to all my questions like he had known me before but I was still skeptical as per Nigerian agent and their numerous stories.
My Frank has been professional from start to finish, made everything seem less for me despite my incessant calls etc but he was calm although.
You always encouraged me despite knowing how scared I was because of my location and how it was going to work out. Always ready to answer my questions even if it’s in the midnight (always waking up to see your replies) @Frankrobbn1 You are truly God sent. Words can’t express how I feel, it has finally ended in praise.

Big congratulations!!! I too shall testify before this month ends by the grace of God. kelchy: It's PPR!!!!!
I can't believe this, I am still in shock, what my God cannot do does not exist.
I began this journey in 2019 through the Express Entry Program then Covid happened in 2020 and everything just pressed stop. I was very frustrated and just gave up on the Canadian journey until last year when my best friend applied and got her Canadian Student Visa, it was just the push I needed to revive my Japa spirit.
November of 2021, I applied to Conestoga college and NBCC, on the 14th of December, Conestoga College gave me admission while NBCC waitlisted me. Immediately I contacted MAKANO to find out what my chances were because I am married and I wanted my uncle to act as my sponsor. He said if I packaged my documents well, I will definitely get an approval, his positivity gave me the courage to go ahead and pay my tuition deposit.
Then , we began the application process, MAKANO was super helpful and patient, always available to answer my sometimes stupid questions, he followed me through the application from the documents needed to my SOP development, final document review and application. I applied on the 7th of February, after which I did an upfront medical on the 1st of March, then the wait began.......
The wait is the worst thing ever, I find myself constantly checking my email and signing into my account, then MAKANO and my best friend advised that I should constantly send emails to IRCC which I did three times daily for over 2 weeks. Last week I sent emails to all the MPs, I didn't get any concrete response from them then my best friend also messaged them last weekend from Canada. I was already getting very frustrated and sad,my husband and friends kept on encouraging me until when I saw the golden mail this afternoon, I just started crying, I cried for over 5 minutes, then I started to call my husband, family and friends.
