Hello house, thanks for the efforts you've been making so far for the betterment of our lives. I've been a silent reader right from the beginning of this thread but I have a few questions for us and I'll appreciate a quick and positive response. My fiance and I have been planning to travel to Dubai to settle down there for some time now but there are a few things bothering our minds. We contacted the agent I used when I went there for 2weeks sometimes around last year, he told us to bring 250k each for 3months visa apart from the air ticket but I've been following this thread like I said earlier and I realised that we can actually process it ourselves at a more cheaper price through airlines; etihad,.emirates, and the likes, but the problem is they can only give us 1month since we dont have a relative in Dubai that can help us with 3months visit visa and 1 month cannot be sufficient for job hunting overthere according to what I read on this thread. The 1 month visa is no longer extendable. So what do we do?

To be honest, your score is very low. The lowest score you could get in GRE if you answer nothing is 260 (130V, 130Q) and highest score is 340. 260 is equivalent to 0 and 340 to 100. 286 converted to a scale of 100 = 32.5/100. No school in Nigeria even has such score as PUME cut-off mark.

Retake the GRE or better still, apply to schools without the GRE requirement and keep your GRE result for embassy purposes.

Hi,
This thread has been quite educative and I really appreciate you all for your contributions to that.

My question is this: I wrote GRE august last year and I have a 146 and a 140 in verbal and quantitative reasoning respectively, with this scores, can I still apply for graduate admission in International Relations or Political Science?

After my studies, I planned staying and working there, so which should I go for, the internship, thesis or paper based graduate program?

either to do my masters in Political Science as
internship based, thesis based or paper based and I
don't know which is better for my course, so please

your choice considering deeply the course involved.

Hello nairalanders, please I need to ask this question on behalf of my very good friend, this friend of mine has finished secondary school in Nigeria as far back as 2000, he didn't make his mathematics in Waec but he was still able to move to a Technical school where he studied an engineering course that is related to Construction, since then he has been working in a construction company in Ajah, Nigeria. Recently we got talking and he told me he would love to further his education in Canada, he will be rewriting his Waec this year and he wants to study structural engineering. My question is 1) will he be considered for admission in Canada? 2) will he also be granted visa at the embassy considering his age, he is now 32. 3) How can he go about the processing that it will be much more easier for him? Advice please...
