Religion / Re: Ever Happened To You? (Weird Coincidences, Synchronicity, Law Of Attraction). by omotogoodo(m): 8:47pm On Jan 11, 2015 |
This is freaky but I'd share it nonetheless. When I meet people for the first time something from within tell me their names. Its far from guesswork, it comes effortlessly. Besides, I can look at someone in a pix and tell their name. My younger sister came back from NYSC camp in 2011 and she was showing me her snapshots and I looked at a lady in the pictures, I said her name is so-so, she was shocked. She asked me if I knew her before I said no. A colleague at my former place of work bought samsung galaxy whatever and I was admiring the hot gadget. To test myself, I went to pictures. Saw a pose of him and wifey. I called him and said "this is your wife and her name is so-so (Mind you, I resumed in the company just two days before and I didn't know this guy from adam, save that we were working on a machine together). Dude was lost for words. I told him its a gift and he said omo, I go need your gifting for sports betting o. We laughed it off. Another one A classmate of mine was heavy and due for delivery anytime soon. One friday night I had the urge to write a poem (I do free-verse poetry). The title was clear "STILLBIRTH" and I wrote it in less than 5 minutes (very unusual for a lazy poet like moi) Fast forward to monday. The HOC announced that the lady (classmate) had a stillbirth on friday night that we should go pay her a visit at her house after lectures. I shook my head and muttered "Oh God who am I, I need a clue". More I was in school and my mum called me that my big sis had put to bed that two days time is christening ceremony. We had just finished exam. So I left school the second day. The journey is a day plus. By the time I got home they have concluded the whole ceremony and it was late at night. I went to her room, saw the baby. A big boy he was! She wanted to say his name I said "no need" she said "why" and I replied "cos I know already". She said then mama had told u I said no one told me then she said "oya what's his name I said "Abraham". She asked mama the second day and she told her she didn't inform me of the baby's name, she was shocked beyond words. Another Last year, I went to a cyber cafe on the Lagos Island, where I was living before. I do go there to charge my laptop, power bank and phones. The owner of the place is very friendly. So, as I sat down watching a movie on my laptop. the movie was an Arnold Schwazzenegar thriller. A guy came in plugged in a BB beside me and stepped out just as rapid as he came in. A small still voice (more of a whisper) said to me "that dude's fone might be stolen, keep watch). But silly me was engrossed in the movie. Seconds later, another guy came in. Saw his figure at the socket, he plugged a phone then went out. I assumed it was the former guy. Few minutes later, the first guy came and raised alarm "my fone's being stolen" I looked there, no phone at the socket. Thank God I plugged my gadget elsewhere. Police came and searched everyone. I walked home with guilt in my heart. Knowing that I could have saved the day but for my insensitivity! MORE I added a lady on bbm. We always had a smooth chat. A day like that we were chatting and I said babe, why are you pensive. She said "I am not pensive" (FYI, we were having a cool chat, her pm, dp and chats suggest nothing of such). I went ahead and told her why she was pensive, she said how did u knw. I said "I just know noni" she said "well, you're a freak" she deleted me. Wasn't surprised a bit! ANOTHER ONE I chatted a lady on the office chat incessantly and there was no reply. She chatted back later apologizing that she went to eat. I said "and it took that long, na kilimanjaro you go chop". She was like "hw did you know, I went with a friend". I was actually joking with the fact that kilimanjaro sounds far-away a place but she actually went to eat there. Anybody knows Kilimanjaro at Oniru? Close to Law school bus stop? I can go on and on. I've learnt to live with my abnormalities and eccentricities, that's what makes me unique; my over sensitivity. If I'm dating a girl and she's cheating, I'd know quite easily no matter how she cover her tacks. More why, I'm dating myself now, lolz... My life. 5 Likes 1 Share |

Hmmm. Nice posts I must say. I really hope my contribution will sync with the topic. My own case is more of mind games. Like I dream of words and when i wake up, u'd check up the word. Only to realize that the word has to do with that day's event. Sometimes words/ideas/picture come to my mind. Its either I see the word/picture/idea on tv/iinternet or any other place I sha must see it that day. And there was this lady I met last year on nairaland. I live in Lagos, she in Jos. She's just like me, I haven't seen or experience such a thing before. Our date of birth the same, our church same, genotype the same thing, we love the same kind of music, share the same interests, likes the same thing, ourr weakness tallies even our strengths. Its really crazy. I couldn't recover from the shock for days. More Used to work in a university, years back and there was a teenager I liked then. We worked in the business center in the school and her shop was close to mine. People were nudging me to date her but I was like "haba, she too small for me" and moreover I didn't want to date her cos I like a younger sister". The coincidence here is that "there is one old man that used to work as an electrician in the school, he called me and said you and this girl are good for each other and after that day, if I should wear a blue top, she's putting on same colour. This happened for four days. My jaw dropped! I left the school and came back six months later. The innocent looking teenager had a baby bump on her belle! There is God oooooo! I laughed it off. 4 Likes 2 Shares |

jingh:Iya quit hating. What has yoruba tribe got to do with being happy and lively?. If you are married. Good for you but do not deride the single ones. They aren't the worst womankind on earth. Nigerians like to attach sentiments to everything. Teni de la ri, aomo teni tonbo lona. Makan-makan bayi lo ye nkan. I'm sure there are single aunties in your family. So, egbenu lowo ma. I love her cos she's human. If you hate her, then you are inhuman, better put an animal. |

Hello all. I live with my bro somewhere in Ibadan. We are both christians. Some time last year his girlfriend/wife-to-be moved in with us and since then she's been cooking for us. I don't wanna come off as a fanatic but I do believe living with someone you aren't married to isn't right. I'm not planning to tell him this. I've stopped eating her food. What do y'all think. I'm I being unnecessarily harsh? Is my action well grounded? COs she thinks I'm vexed with her. |

The write-up is cowshit! Plain hogwash I say. The Bible frowns at pre-mariital sex; its the Lord's commandment not the church leaders'. Woman, Stop misleading others. |

1. Igbo:They are industrious and has a good business sense (I particularly envy them for this). I'm in love with their music, though I'm Yoruba, I have quite a no of ibo songs and I've got few dance steps to them (folks in church kinda confused about my trive cos of dis). I love dem girls too (dated some few). I love the igbo language itself, I'm fascinated whenever I see 'conc' igbo guy blow away in thick igbo speech. 2. Calabar: They are good songstars. Theur delicacies are yummylicious. Them girls are pretty. They've got great cultures and their language is amusing and hilarious 3. Hausa : love their simplicity ( a sharp contrast to my culture). Their girls are pretty. They are honest people. They form a bond amongst themselves and stick together come rain' come shine. 4. Edo: funny and witty people, they are productive, can't say much about em sha. BTW, I don't care about tribe. Dated hausa, igbo, yoruba, Benin republic gals before. God bless all the tribes. God bless Nigeria. Ise, Ase, Amin! 2 Likes 1 Share |

Fashion / Re: Natural Ways To Get A Pink Lip. by omotogoodo(m): 7:22pm On Dec 26, 2014 |
Truth be told. Black lips are embarrassing. My lips used to be so dark, that I stare endlessly at the mirror. I discovered its genetic, moms lip is darker. Thank God, google is a friend. I felt There ought to be a way out. Checked up tips on google (saw a lot of long epistle-like tips like op). Being the lazy type I am, I opted for a simple one, RUB OLIVE/ALMOND OIL ON YOUR LIPS BEFORE YOU GO TO BED. Check google for other simpler tips. Disclaimer: If your lips is dark naturally, you will never get pink lips (save in your dreams). But fret not, your lips will look plumpy, chubby and healthy. Bonne chance! |
