Hey šŸ¤

**** and what in the world am I going to use someoneā€™s WAEC info and transcript to do?? Thereā€™s thousands of those online.

1. You cannot get anybody's WAEC info and transcripts online my friend. And if you say so post such website here .

2. There are fake or dubious educational organisations that uses your kind of style to round up people's credentials and use it to build online reputations.

3. I am not directly accusing you but your modus operandi is weird and carries cumbersome requirements for genuine applicants. Anyways , your mentor will find applicants for you .

Best Wishes šŸ™

Wait what?? Quora, LinkedIn, Google, Facebook. People post their results all the time lol.

I have like three friends who kickstarted their journey to the US this same way. Nairaland could be an amazing resource to help only if you put in the work. If youā€™re not interested no problem. If you are, reach out.

Asking to see someoneā€™s grades and a simple essay to prove a personā€™s candidacy is cumbersome and weird?? So I should just pay for a random personā€™s exam without knowing their intentions? God Abeg

I asked you how to reach out to NL you didnā€™t answer. You donā€™t even know me and youā€™re assuming things. No wahala

Hey šŸ¤

1. A young high school graduate is interested in your goodwill but she said I should ask you that : ** Did you send your WAEC , High school transcripts, and 300 word essay to that
generous man who offered to pay for your SAT exam that you couldnā€™t afford that year ?

2. Another applicant who is also interested told me to ask you if you are still at Temple University or Stillman college in Alabama because they don't want to send their academic data's to online data collectors .

3. When i reseach your profile personally , i discovered that you are constantly asking people to shoot you a pm which is one of the characteristics of an online Phishers.

4. Table your gesture to the authorities of NL or reveal your whole identity before you can ask for peopleā€™s personal data.

Best Wishes šŸ™

Hi, yes I sent an essay, WAEC result and transcript to him when I did mine. This is just to prove the personā€™s candidacy. I got more scholarships at Stillman so I chose stillman. I donā€™t understand what you mean by constantly asking people to send me pms. All the questions I asked on here are legit genuine questions that I was asking during my journey. I tell people to send me pms because itā€™s more convenient and well ā€œsaferā€ and a lot of the time I had numerous follow up questions which was better to do on email than spamming the nairaland thread here. If anyone wants to send all their ā€œpersonal dataā€ to me here on nairaland, then by all means go ahead, Iā€™ll still help regardless.

Lastly, how can I table my gesture to the authorities of NL?? Who do I need to contact to do that? Cause Iā€™m a real person lol and what in the world am I going to use someoneā€™s WAEC info and transcript to do?? Thereā€™s thousands of those online. When I did mine, I never thought of personal data or whatever but maybe times are different.

Hello everyone, I remember coming on this platform to begin my US journey in 2020 and now God blessed me with a scholarship to study here. It all started with a generous man here who offered to pay for my SAT exam that I couldnā€™t afford and now I want to pay it forward to anyone who, like me, is very serious and ambitious about coming to the US to study. I am willing to pay for 2 peopleā€™s SAT exam. I wish I could help more but I have limited scope at the moment but I still really want to help.

If youā€™re interested, shoot me a pm with your name, high school transcript, a 300 word essay on why you want to study in the US and how youā€™ve worked towards it, your WAEC result and any supplementary information to help. Please note that this is very competitive and I might not be able to help everyone that pmā€™s me. I will be picking 2 top candidates and this offer is open till the 20th of this month.

Also, please note that this is only limited to undergraduates right now. Goodluck!

Hello guys, I've been trying to book for a visa appointment but I'm seeing dates in 2023 and I don't want to check too regularly. I heard there are groups here on nairaland that the group members are informed by other members whenever an early date pops up. I'll like to join such groups. Please send a dm or post the link here.

They have over 4000 schools in the US and you want someone to send a list to you based on a criterion. If I may ask you, if that list really exist, how much do you think it should worth? My advice, you don't need any list. There are countless schools in the US that doesn't require official transcript. By the time you check 10,
I'm sure you will see atleast four. Now imagine what you can achieve by checking 50. It would probably take 20minutes.
Alright .. thanks

I saw drDoom3 comment, and that was really nice.
There is a young man here called Daniel. I can't remember his username, but I will ask him. He was a member of EducationUSA and one of the ambassadors before he traveled last fall; still have connection with EAC though (they even paid his flight ticket to the US). Will try to link you with him. Send me a DM.
Once you hit a high SAT score, you will get full ride scholarship, and your age is really nice for this mission you are about to pursue. I suggest that you don't worry about your WAEC, but instead invest your energy on destroying SAT. Try to score 1450-1500 if possible. Even 1400 will get you full ride with some schools in the US. Focus on the SAT and follow the instruction the other guy has given. Extra coaching will help, but the exam can be prepared for if you focus on reading textbooks, practice, etc without tutoring. Most of the students who reached out to me from here didn't use tutoring, but they studied very, very hard. When you get the SAT right, please mention me. I will share list of schools I have you can pick from.

Really inspired by what you hope to achieve at this age. Best of luck dear!
Thanks I'm really grateful ..I sent you an email so that we can talk about the processes

The WAEC is not bad, WES evaluation can put it at 3.4 or 3.5/4.0. The most important thing is the SAT score. Writing a solid essay with great extracurriculars is also helpful. If you can, create a one page resume.

Try to have one stand-out thing in your application that you reflect through your essays, extracurriculars, etc. For example, I used my diversity to sell myself. I emphasised it in my essays. Also used tutoring too, which I showed through my extracurriculars. Make your essays very unique, don't write about how you passed an exam or how you overcame stage fright or something very general like that. Make your admission officers remember you through your essays.

If you can get to Abuja or Lagos, I'll advise you link up with the EducationUSA Advising Center. You could even apply for the Opportunity Funds Programme, and get all your application expenses fully covered by the embassy. With your stats, you have a great chance of getting in.
Thanks a lot ..I was planning to join Education USA but this pandemic put a lot of things on stand still .. I'll really love to talk with you about the processes ,exams , preparation and everything ..Do you mind?

It's not but depends on the person actually. If he thinks of SAT to be nothing compared to the rigorous courses he has done in secondary school he might end up with lower score but if he thinks otherwise it might work out well.

Onah16, I have link(you can find all the resources you need to prepare free) to share with you that will help you prepare well.

Oh my God ..Thanks for the support I'll be expecting the PDF soon please

I think before you prepare for any WAEC take the SAT...... I think the SAT will be the first step to determine the probability of getting a full ride.

Prepare for it with all you have and best of luck

Thanks a lot for your reply!

Goodday nairalanders , I'm new here ,I joined because of the amazing content I see here regularly . Please i really want to know ,I wrote my waec last year and this is how the result looks like
Mathematics B2
English C4
Further mathematics B2
Physics B3
Chemistry B3
Biology C4
Civic education B3
Economics B3
Data processing C5
I was planning to take the SAT this year but due to the pandemic I'm not sure if that would be achievable , next year though I believe it'll be possible .
For now , I'm still focusing on my preparations for the exam ( in terms of reading) because I'm really hoping to score a very high score to get a full ride as I can't afford the education there .It has been my dream for years to study in the US for years and I believe getting a full ride scholarship there is achievable if I work hard .
What I just wrote is just a brief description of my goals , I'm sorry I'm not precise enough ,I wanted to fully express myself since I'm new here.
Also , I'm 16 years old and I want to pursue an undergraduate degree,My high school gpa is an 'A' average result as I was a straight 'A' student( just in case this question ever comes up)
Please I'll be asking a lot of questions , I'll also love to get polite replies .
My first question is do you think I can get a full ride with a high SAT score and these results or I'll need to prep for another WAEC . Please I really need answers
