Travel / Re: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by Onaolorundun: 10:32pm On Dec 17, 2015
Good evening to everyone in the house! Please I need your help... have been dating my husband since 2010 and we went to same university... he recently got his 573 student visa in July this year. The issue is that when he was filling his form 157A he didn't include me in the form because we weren't married then and we didn't have much information at hand. He got his visa on 28 of July and we sealed our relationship legally on the 29th of July. When he got to aussie he wants me to join him so I applied for student dependent visa on 11th of November ( he later refill form 157A and added my name in the application I submitted) . After submitting all the documents, I got a mail from my case officer today 17th stating that I should provide " evidence of the ongoing relationship with your husband prior his visa grant
1) financial aspect of the relationship
2) Nature of household
3) social aspect of the relationship
4) Nature of the person's commitment to each other
I was given 21 days to submit these doc but I want to submit as soon as tuesday nextweek. Please I appreciate every advise from each individual. ... thanks

Hey I have asked this question close to one week, nobody is helping me out on it. I had called Pretoria office unable to speak to anyone. Please I need your help on this, Biko.
Good day everyone, please I will appreciate if there is anyone in the house who brought his/her family to Australia after being granted the student visa. How did you go about it. On the statement of account, can one submit someone elses' statement of account then as sponsor or does it have to be your personal account when applying for your family. The guru's can please help me out on this.
God bless us all, my prayer is that God will crown this year with His goodness for us and our testimonies will be complete in Jesus Name.

Thanks for the reply God bless you... my mind is at rest a bit cos I was over worried

Hi,

You normally don't get any acknowledgement mail from Pretoria, you will only get your grant on your email.

C/O will only contact you if in case she needs any further clarification (I put she Bcus na so so women full Student Department for Pretoria and I no know y, maybe men are forbidden... hehehehehe).

Anyways, keep checking your email. You can only contact them 5weeks after your submission if you haven heard from them.

Goodluck!!!

Good evening to everyone in the house. I applied for student dependent visa (suclass 573) on the 11th of November 2015 (about 3 weeks ago) and since then I only got a mail from teleperformance that my application has been sent to the Australian embassy in Pretoria ( on the 12th of nov). I haven't been contacted by the embassy itself that my application has been received neither have I been assigned a case officer. My questions are:
1) Do I have to call the embassy and make enquiries about my application?
2) Is it a must for a case officer handling ones application to contact before Visa is granted?
3) What is the maximum number of time required to wait before a case officer is assigned? And the average time required to process the application?
My oshc will start on the 20th of this month... Pls I need your advices on what do and clarifications. Thank you

Can u help me with the site where I can see the checklist? And also, I will appreciate if anyone could help me review document I posted if there's any document I'm missing. I forgot to add oshc
bellong:

There's a checklist that is always given for any visa application. If you follow the list for your subclass, you have nothing to worry.

It is not all the section on the form that you will fill only those applicable to you like the financial details & section B family unit joining a students & you also have to attach a SOP, teleperformance will charge close to 10k for their service & AUS560 (84k+) for visa charges, so prepare like 100k while going to their office.
wow! I'm just knowing now that I will have to attach a sop thanks a bunch! Can I pm u when am done drafting the sop just to show u? And also I want to know the range of the amount that should be in my statement of account and the duration.
Also I will appreciate it if u can direct me to the website where I can see those information cos I search and couldn't get it. Thanks

Well, its true but your marriage certificate date must indicate that you both got married after his visa grant.
yes, I know that... thanks a lot lawland God bless u

Yes, people get visas through this route.
It doesn't matter whose account as long as you both are married, you can also transfer the money to his account or joint account if you wish to. Check the student visa financial requirements page at DIBP website, they estimated financial requirement for spouse there.

Did he declare that he is married in his visa application and did he mention your name?
Thanks for the reply he didn't include my his application cos we married shortly after he got his visa... but we heard that he will have to fill form 157 and in that form he will include my name and send the form over to me so that I can submit it @ the embassy here.... how true is that? Ur reply gave me a lot of relieve.... so much appreciated. Waiting for ur reply again! Thanks

Good evening to everyone in the house. Pls I need some clarifications. My spouse got his aussie visa about a month ago it was when he got there that he knew that I could depend on his visa..... Now the issues is that he has to provide financial evidence that he can support me during my arrival in aussie and currently he has no money in his new aussie bank account. My question is
1) Can i provide my own statement of account instead of his own?
2) Like how much can I have in my account? Which will convince the v.o that we are financially fit
3) how frequent do applicant get Visa through this route?
Thanks, I await your replies....
